Description
Certification
The technical box 6315-XXXXE, Group II Category 2G is designed to be use din areas
where potentially explosive atmosphere due to gas vapours could exist. It has been
certified “EExd IIB T6”, safety equipment by explosion proof housing corresponding to the
subdivision IIB (explosive atmosphere other than firedamp mines) and to the temperature
class T6 (surface temperature les than 85 C). The conformity with the European Directive
ATEX 94/9/CE has been verified by APRAGAZ who delivered the certificate
APRAGAZ10ATEX0127X. The suffix X indicates that the extremity of the cable must be
locate in an appropriate junction box with respect of the external influences, the explosion
hazard and the required IP degree. The ambient temperature where the box is mounted
must be between [-20 C and +65 C].

This transmitter consists of an explosion proof EEXd IIB T6, IP65 aluminum housing
including a non linear low torque precision potentiometer and a voltage to current converter
in order to proved an output of 4-20mA proportional to the tank liquid content of a horizontal
cylindrical tank. On the potentiometer shaft, two powerful magnets are mounted in order to
transmit the level indicating to the dial and so to maintain a direct reading of the liquid level
on the tank. The transmitter is supplied with its cable gland and with a 2m double insulated,
shielded 2x0.75mm2 (LiYCY-OB) cable.

Certification
Le boîtier technique 6315-xxxxE, du groupe II catégorie 2G, est destiné à être utilisé dans
des zones où sont susceptibles d’apparaître des atmosphères explosives causées par des
vapeurs de gaz. Il a été certifié EExd IIB T6, matériel de protection par enveloppe
antidéflagrante correspondant à la subdivision IIB (atmosphère explosive autre que mine
grisouteuse) dans la classe de température T6 (température de surface inférieure à 85°C).
La conformité à la Directive Européenne ATEX 94/9/CE a été contrôlée par APRAGAZ, qui
a délivré le certificat APRAGAZ 10 ATEX0127X. Le suffixe ‘’X’’ indique que l’extrémité du
câble doit être placé dans une boîte de jonction appropriée à l’égard : des influences
extérieures, du risque d’explosion et du degré IP. La température ambiante du boîtier,
lorsque monté, doit être comprise entre -20°C et +65°C.

Ce transmetteur est constitué d’un boîtier antidéflagrant EExd IIB T6 (IP65 en aluminium) et
d’un potentiomètre de précision non linéaire avec un très faible couple et d’un circuit
convertisseur de courant. Cet ensemble permet d’obtenir un signal 4-20mA proportionnel
au liquide contenu dans un réservoir horizontal cylindrique. De part et d’autre de l’axe du
potentiomètre est fixé un train d’aimant qui permet de transmettre l’indication de niveau vers
le cadran et permet ainsi de conserver une lecture directe sur le réservoir. Le transmetteur
est fourni avec son presse-étoupe et un câble faradisé avec double isolation de 2m de type
LiYCY-OB 2x0,75mm².
