Quality Awareness Program “QUALITY ACADEMY”
July - December 2011: focus on TOURIST INFORMATION
Beside the online satisfaction survey (www.visitbrussels.be/qualitydestination),
the aim of the quality awareness program is to raise awareness in the Brussels tourist sector.

Create awareness among Brussels tourism professionals about Brussels treasures and
particularities.
Make them curious about Brussels offers, make them eager to discover more and become real and
enthusiastic Brussels ambassadors.
All people dealing with tourists and guests in hotels, B&Bs, Hostels, Tourist Offices, Museums,
Restaurants, Shops, Services…
Test period: July – December 2011. Program will be appraised and eventually reviewed and
enhanced for 2012.
(Almost) every Tuesday, from July till December, from 10 am till 1 pm.
Please check detailed program.
9:45 am :
Welcome coffee @ bip (rue Royale 2-4)
10 am – 11 am : Introduction and presentation @ bip
11 am – 1 pm : Experiencing the city
Please check program – last minute changes might occur.
Quality of tourist information will be the focus for this Jul-Dec 2011 session.
3 main themes:
Brussels, an attraction for every season: agenda, cultural & social life, lifestyle (P.2-3)
Brussels’ identity – why Brussels is different: a new light on history (P. 4)
Brussels Experience: the Brussels Region, tourist information and guest experience (P. 5)

Please send attached registration form to [email protected] at least one week
in advance
Registration is free in 2011.
However, only the partners who commit to promote the online survey
(www.visitbrussels.be/qualitydestination) will be eligible to participate.
By “promote”, we mean at least making the flyers “We listen to you” visible on welcome desk
and/or putting a link to the online survey on company’s/institution’s website.
Number of participants is limited to 15 in each session. Therefore:
registration is subject to availability.
cancellations will be accepted until Thursday noon (Thursday before the session), in order
to enable replacement. Please note late cancellations (after Thursday noon) and noshows will be charged (30€/person/session) to the company/institution.
Participants need to attend full modules (from 10 am till 1 pm).
The Brussels paving stones require you to bear comfortable shoes. Ladies… please avoid heels!

Brussels Green: places within easy reach: Botanique, Parc Elisabeth, Canal (Parc Maximilien + farm house) …
Shopping: Passage du Nord, “exotic” rue de Brabant…
Culture/visits: Botanique, Kaai Theater, KVS, Micro-Marché…
