Following the trade event, Mr. Sturla Sigurjónsson, the Ambassador of Iceland to Canada, will host a reception of a taste of exquisite Icelandic cuisine by World Culinary Cup Winner, Chef Viktor Örn Andrésson. On the Icelandic National Culinary team since 2009, he has received many awards depicting the extent of his talent. Notably he is the winner of the Iceland Chef of the year in 2013, and has won two gold medals at the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg in 2014. Furthermore, Viktor Örn Andrésson has also distinguished himself in the 2016 Bocuse d’Or Europe coming in 5th place and winning a special recognition for preparing the best fish of the competition. Chef Viktor Örn Andrésson promotes Icelandic seafood and is a gold medal hopeful for the 2017 Bocuse d’Or Europe competition.
