GENERAL INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
LOCATION
The Planning and Evaluation Committee and CRPG meeting rooms
are in Wing 7, SPC Headquarters, Anse Vata, Noumea.
PROCEDURE
At its first working session the Meeting will be invited to
appoint a Drafting Sub-Committee, and to determine such
matters as hours of meetings, methods: of working, etc.
REPORT
The Meeting will be asked to prepare and approve, for transmission to the South Pacific Conference, a report of its
proceedings.
DRESS
INSURANCE

Dress will be informal for the Opening Ceremony and during.' . '
the working sessions.

Attention is drawn to the fact that the Commission does not ';
insure participants while at the Meeting or during travel to ,J v'.{,
• or from the Meeting, and will not be responsible for any
expenses arising out of sickness, injury, other disability or
loss of life.

ENCASHMENT OF
CHEQUES
Travellers' cheques can be cashed at hotels. There is
a Bank Exchange (Banque Nationale de Paris), situated
at la Maison du Tourisme, between SPC Headquarters and
Hotel Nouvata which is open
Monday to Friday
from 07.20 to
15.45 hrs.
SOCIAL CLUB
Participants are invited to become honorary members
of the Commission's staff Social Club during their
stay and all are welcome to the Club bar. Bar transactions will be on a cash basis.
CANTEEN
A list of items which participants may purchase at the
Canteen will be issued in the pigeon holes. Orders may
be placed each morning before 10.00 a.m. in the box
marked "CANTEEN" and collected each afternoon, before
5.00 p.m., at the Finance Office, Room 17, Wing 2,
against cash payment.
MEDICAL AND
DENTAL
ATTENTION
Any participants requiring assistance to arrange an
appointment for medical or dental attention should ;
contact the Secretary (Wing 7).

In urgent cases the nearest medical attention is
obtainable at the Polyclinique immediately across the
road from the entrance to the Commission grounds by
Wing 7.
