Muscular Dystrophy Canada is at the heart of an active and positive community of people whose lives are
affected by neuromuscular disorders. Our goal is to give you the information, tools and support you, and
those you care about, need to remain healthy, positive, strong and active.
As a valuable member of our community, whether as a person affected by a neuromuscular disorder,
family member, healthcare professional, researcher, volunteer or a community partner, your feedback and
input is very important in helping us determine services and engagement priorities that are important to
you, as we develop our strategic plan for 2017–2021.
In the last four years, we have accomplished a lot through our current strategic plan. A few of these
successes include:
•Focusing our programs and services to meet the needs of the changing demographics of our clients
•Broadening our community to include family members and healthcare professionals
•Supporting the development of the Canadian Neuromuscular Disease Network
•Continuing to focus on the important priority of respiratory health, just to name a few.
Now we need your input as we begin the process of renewing our priorities for the next three years.
Please click here to complete a very important survey, which should only take five to ten minutes of your
time.
We’ve extended the deadline to May 31st. There are still a few grants remaining
so apply now.

Meet the Saint John Walk for Muscular Dystrophy Ambassadors
Hello, we are the Corasaniti family. Martha & Michael, Jonathan our oldest,
Alexander our middle, and Gabrielle our youngest.
Alexander, Gabrielle, and I (Michael) have Muscular Dystrophy. Alexander
and Gabrielle are Paraswimmers on the Saint John Fundy Tide Swim Team
and both have made big accomplishments. Alexander has already been to
Can Am’s in Miami, Pan Am’s in Toronto and now on the road to the
Paralympic Trials in Toronto on April 5-10. As for Gabrielle, she as well is
going to the Paralympic Trails. We couldn’t be more proud of their
accomplishments and goals they have set for themselves and we are sure
there are many more to come. Read more about their story and support
the Corasanatis here.
