In winter…
Set up in 1961, considered to be the best ski resort in the Southern Alps, Pra Loup stands
apart...because of the quality of the sunny slopes and the Grand Angle area domain :
180 km of pure pleasure, 48 mechanical ski lifts spread out over an altitude of between 1500 and 2600
m... Only the luckiest skiers get to experience the joys of the Natural X Pipes or take advantage of the
warm atmosphere in the mountain inns nestling among the larches.
In summer…
Contemplation, clean air, invigorating sports, rest... You will really enjoy everything that Pra Loup has to
offer.
A mix between mountain and Mediterranean climate (18-32 degree). Here, blue skies, sun and mistral
bring out the scents of the surrounding vegetation: larches with their fragrant sap and the aroma of freshly
mown meadows float on the clean mountain air...
Pra Loup also offers a range of sporting activities specific to the environment: paragliding, rafting,
canyoning, via ferrata, golf (9 holes) and, of course, mountain biking.
In order to meet holidaymakers’ expectation, Praloup has launched a campaign to develop mountain biking
with the creation of a permanent downhill track and the organisation numerous competitions, which are
increasing in stature year after year.

More than 70,000 mountains bikers and 250,000 spectators have unanimously voted Praloup area the
most attractive on the circuit. And as of today the best Trials riders in the world are planning to meet in Pra
Loup for 3 days world trial event.
L’hiver...
Créée en 1961, considérée comme la meilleure station des Alpes du Sud, Pra Loup est à part... qualité des pistes
ensoleillées et domaine Grand Angle : 180 km de pur plaisir, 48 remontées mécaniques réparties entre 1500 et 2600
m d’altitude...heureux les skieurs qui ont pu goûter aux joies du Rider Space ou ont su profiter de l’ambiance
chaleureuse des auberges de montagne blotties au milieu des mélèzes.
L’été...
Contemplation, air pur, sports vivifiants, repos... Pra Loup sait se faire apprécier à sa juste valeur. Le climat
montagnard et méditerranéen (18-32°c) engendre ici, ciel bleu, soleil (300 jours par an) et mistral exacerbent
les parfums de la végétation environnante : mélèzes à la sève odorante et effluves des prés récemment fauchés
embaument l’air pur de la montagne...
Pra Loup offre également une palette d’activités sportives spécifiques au milieu : parapente, rafting, canyoning, via
ferrata, golf (9 trous) et bien sûr VTT.
Afin de répondre aux attentes des vacanciers, la station a engagé une action de développement du vélo tout terrain
avec la création d’une piste permanente de descente et l’organisation de plusieurs compétitions d’envergure
croissante :
- Coupe du Monde de Trial & Jeux Mondiaux de la Jeunesse en 2002,
- Coupe du Monde de Trial & Jeux Mondiaux de la Jeunesse en 2003,
- Coupe du Monde de Trial & Jeux Mondiaux de la Jeunesse en 2004.
- Championnats du monde Master en 2007-2008-2009
- Championnats d’Europe et France Master en 2010-2013
Plus de 70,000 vététistes et 250,000 spectateurs ont unanimement consacréle domaine de Praloup comme le plus
attrayant du circuit. Et aujourd’hui, les meilleurs mondiaux du trial se donnent rendez vous à Praloup pour 3 jours
de spectacles.

From the north of France, take the motorway to Grenoble, then follow signs to Gap, Barcelonnette –
and finally Pra-Loup.
From the south of France, via Aix en Provence, head north on the motorway A51, take the Tallard exit
and follow the signs to Barcelonnette - Pra Loup.

Possibility to park the cars along the road which cross Pra Loup 1600.
The bus can’t go in the center of Pra Loup 1600. A special parking is situated in the enter of the village.

A Pra Loup 1600 : 11 parkings + parkings hébergeurs
Le stationnement est également possible au long de la route qui traverse Pra Loup 1600 sur les
emplacements prévus.
Les bus ne peuvent pas circuler à Pra Loup 1600. Un parking à l’entrée de la station est
spécialement prévu pour ces véhicules. Ce parking est également gratuit.
