Feature New Volleyball
Introducing the Tachikara® SIX
(OTTAWA, ON) : Volleyball Canada has announced the
introduction of a new volleyball for its 2016 National
Championships. The official ball, developed by Tachikara and
appropriately named the SIX.VC, features a six-panel design and
a textured D-TEC micro-fiber composite cover in highly
contrasting colors.
"We are very excited for this collaboration with Tachikara and
look forward to next year’s Championships when athletes can
compete with the new ball and put it into action," said Sandra de
Graaff, Volleyball Canada’s Director of Domestic Competitions.
"The sport of volleyball continues to evolve in terms of skill,
strategy and equipment," said Chris Morton, Director of Brand
Strategy for Tachikara. "Volleyball Canada made it clear
it wanted to be at the forefront of that evolution and we are
excited to introduce this new ball with one of our long-time
partners."
The new six-panel design decreased panel-connecting points by
75% and reduced seam length by 38%. This provides more
surface area to touch the ball and a more consistent feel for ball
control. The high contrast between color and white panels are
configured to provide a uniquely identifiable and symmetrical spin
in flight.
The new D-TEC HD micro-fiber is Tachikara’s most advanced
material to date, providing a dual-textured surface complete with
high-density embossing and a textured main surface. Applying
two levels of texture provides the D-TEC HD micro-fiber with
increased grip and control for setters and hitters.
The SIX.VC will be available for purchase through local
Tachikara authorized retailers in 2016.

Un nouveau ballon aux Championnats nationaux

VC adopte le ballon SIX de Tachikara®
(OTTAWA, Ont.) – Volleyball Canada annonce qu’elle utilisera un
nouveau ballon lors de ses Championnats nationaux 2016.
Conçu par Tachikara et appelé SIX.VC, le nouveau ballon
comprend six panneaux et une couverture texturée en microfibre
composite D-TEC affichant des couleurs très contrastées.
« Nous sommes ravis de cette collaboration avec Tachikara et
nous avons hâte aux prochains Championnats pour voir les
athlètes en action avec le nouveau ballon », indique Sandra de
Graaff, directrice des compétitions nationales de Volleyball
Canada.
« Le volleyball continue d’évoluer en termes de calibre, de
stratégie et d’équipement, ajoute Chris Morton, directeur de la
stratégie de marque. Volleyball Canada a clairement établi
qu’elle souhaitait être à la pointe de cette évolution, nous
sommes donc très heureux d’adopter ce ballon conçu par l’un de
nos partenaires de longue date. »
Dans la nouvelle conception à six panneaux, le nombre de points
de couture est réduit de 75 % et la longueur des coutures, de
38 %, ce qui offre une surface de contact accrue et un meilleur
contrôle du ballon. De plus, le contraste entre les panneaux de
couleur et les panneaux blancs est conçu pour créer une rotation
symétrique facilement reconnaissable.
Offrant une surface à double texture avec embossage à haute
densité et une surface principale texturée, la nouvelle microfibre
D-TEC HD est le matériau le plus avancé de Tachikara à ce jour.
L’application de deux niveaux de texture confère à la microfibre
D-TEC HD une meilleure prise et un contrôle amélioré pour les
passeurs et les attaquants.
Le ballon SIX.VC sera vendu dans les détaillants autorisés
Tachikara à compter de 2016.
