This full-time post needs to be filled by early 2008. The successful candidate should have: • a legal/political science background • a strong interest in international relations and the trade union movement • a true understanding of European affairs and intellectual property • a good knowledge of the media and entertainment sector • excellent organisational and interpersonal skills • excellent computer literacy - knowledge of publishing software a plus He/she should be able to: • manage a range of different tasks simultaneously • take initiatives responsibly and soon be able to work with little supervision • pay attention to detail • be flexible with working hours • agree to travel whenever necessary, including out of the EU and on weekends The Deputy GS will be based in Brussels and work with the General Secretary. Excellent knowledge and ability to communicate in English and French is an absolute must. Any additional language is an asset. Le/la candidat/e idéal/e devra avoir : • Une formation en droit ou en sciences politiques • Un fort intérêt pour les relations internationales et le mouvement syndical • Une connaissance approfondie des affaires européennes et de la propriété intellectuelle • Une bonne compréhension du secteur du spectacle et des medias • D’excellentes qualités organisationnelles et de communication • Une parfaite maîtrise des logiciels informatiques les plus courants (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) et si possible aussi, d’un logiciel d’édition Il/elle sera appelé/e à : • Gérer diverses tâches simultanément • Prendre des initiatives en toute responsabilité et rapidement travailler en sémi-autonomie • Attacher une grande importance aux détails • Travailler de façon flexible et, si nécessaire, en dehors des horaires convenus • Accepter de voyager le cas échéant, y compris pendant les week-ends et en dehors de l’UE Le/a Secrétaire Général/e Adjoint/e sera basé/e à Bruxelles et travaillera avec le Secrétaire Général. Une parfaite maîtrise de l’anglais et du français est indispensable. Toute autre langue étrangère sera un avantage. Les fonctions du/de la Secrétaire Général/e Adjoint/e au sein de la FIA sont très diversifiées et comprennent entre autres: Conseiller le Secrétaire Général sur toute question affectant la Fédération et ses adhérents Surveiller tout développement au sein de l’UE d’intérêt pour la Fédération, notamment dans le domaine social, culturel, audiovisuel et de la propriété intellectuelle Surveiller toute avancée pertinente concernant les nouveaux médias et les nouvelles technologies Organiser des actions de lobbying au niveau de l’UE et au niveau international Informer les adhérents de la FIA ; organiser et gérer des réunions les concernant Rechercher des ressources financières extérieures pour des projets divers et en assurer la gestion Rédiger des documents et des prises de position Maintenir à jour le site Internet de la FIA Rédiger le bulletin trimestriel de la FIA Cela vous intéresse t-il ?
