Dear Students, Teachers and Parents:
The veterans and members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 469 are reaching out
to our community, and asking your child to enter the Remembrance Day Poster and Literary
Contest.
The students and teachers of Woolwich Township have been great supporters
throughout the years and we are very proud to have their participation for the upcoming year. I
would like to remind adults to look over spelling and grammar within the posters and
essays/poems. When the entries are completed we ask that you attach a class list (if done
as a
class) with the completed entry forms with parent/guardian signatures. Please ensure the
student’s full name is legible on the entry and the entry form. If you have any questions please
contact me at the email below and I will be happy to help.
<<Entry forms can be found on the Legion.ca website.(http://legion.ca/Poppy/contests_
e.cfm)>>
A legionnaire will be by the school to pick up your entries the week of November 4
th,
entries may also be dropped off at the Elmira Legion Branch 469 accordingly to the hours
of
operation. Please do not roll entries. We will be judging all entries on the weekend of
th
November 11
to ensure fairness in time management.
Thank you again and good luck to all who participate!
Yours in Comradeship.
