« Spit » est un jeune père de famille et rappeur
d’une 20ème d’années. Peu de temps après sa
sortie de prison il accepte d’accompagner un
ami de longue date, le dénommé « Dollaz » pour
qui argent rime avec facile, lors d’une « petite
course ».

“Spit” is a 20 year old father and struggling
rapper. Sometime after being released from
prison he accompanies his friend, “Dollaz” for
whom money rhymes with easy, on a “small
run”.
« Spit » se laisse embarquer une fois de plus et
malgré la désapprobation de sa copine Vanessa.
Sortira-il indemne ?
Once again “Spit” was embarked on the not so
straight and narrow, putting in jeopardy his
relationship with Vanessa. But what will the
outcome be this time?

Note d’intention
« Baby needs milk » est inspiré des personnages de « Teen mule » un scénario écrit
en 2006 par le réalisateur Richard JAMES.
A cause d’un manque de moyens et d’appuis
logistique et financier, ce projet n’a pas pu
voir le jour.
Au début de l’année 2011, suite à de nouvelles
rencontres Richard JAMES décide de relancer à nouveau ce projet. Il confit donc à Pedro
GRANGER son ami d’enfance l’adaptation du
récit afin de pouvoir en faire un court-métrage.
Comme les cinémas Indien, Nigérian, Jamaïcain et bien d’autres encore qui se sont
imposer comme sur le marché international,
nous voulons créer une place au cinéma
Saint-Martinois.
Ce projet cible principalement les jeunes de
16 à 30 ans et a pour vocation d’éveiller les
contiences collectives et d’apporter au débat
sur les thèmes suivants : chômage, précarité,
délinquance, amour, amitié, la valeur famille,
respect et responsabilités...
Nous envisageons une sortie DVD de 2000
exemplaires en Mars 2012 (En local et sur les
îles voisines: Anguille, Saba…). Les retombés
économique seront réinvestit dans la production de notre prochain et premier long
métrage, qui sera la suite diégétique de BABY
NEEDS MILK .

Intention Note
“Baby needs milk” is based on the characters from “Teen Mule” a script written in
2006 by Richard James. This project was
not able to come together because of a lack
of means, both logistic and financial.
However at the beginning of the year 2011;
thanks in part to new encounters Richard
JAMES decided to push this project forward
once again. He asked Pedro GRANGER his
childhood friend to adapt the story in order
to produce a the short film.
Like the Indian, Nigerian, Jamaican and
many other great cinemas out there
that managed to stand out. We want to
create a place for Saint-Martin cinema.
This project targets mainly young people ( 16
to 30 year old) and strives to awake a general consciences and bring debate on the
following themes: unemployment, precariousness, delinquency, love, friendship, family
values, respect and responsibility...
We wish to release 2000 copies on DVD in
Mars 2012 (Locally and on the nearby islands: Anguilla, Saba...). All collected funds
will be reinvested in the production of our
next and first full-length film, the sequel to
BABY NEEDS MILK.
