de G4S !
Appel à action : Rejoignez la journée d’action en faveur des
prisonniers politiques palestiniens Libération de tous les
prisonniers politiques palestiniens ! Appelez Bill Gates à se
retirer du capital de G4S !
Le 3 Avril 2014, à Ramallah occupée – L’association Addameer
et le comité national palestinien BDS appellent tous les
militants et gens de conscience à mener des actions pour la
Journée pour les prisonniers palestiniens le 17 avril
prochain, afin de manifester notre solidarité avec les
prisonniers politiques Palestiniens.
La fondation Bill et Melinda Gates, plus grosse fondation
caritative au monde, possède des parts à hauteur de plus de
170M de dollars au sein de G4S, la société de sécurité opérant
dans les prisons israéliennes. Rejoignez-nous dans cet appel
pour qu’ils cèdent leurs parts !
Plus de 5000 Palestiniens sont actuellement détenus dans les
prisons israéliennes, dont 183 enfants et 175 en détention
administrative, un régime de détention sans procès permettant
à Israël d’incarcérer des Palestiniens secrètement et pour une
période indéfinie.
Chaque année, l’armée israélienne arrête des milliers de
palestiniens dans le but de briser toute résistance à
l’occupation et à la politique d’apartheid. Parmi eux des
centaines d’enfants âgés d’à peine 12 ans. Dans de nombreux
cas, les enfants palestiniens sont torturés, victimes de
mauvais traitements, placés en confinement puis contraints de
signer des aveux en hébreu, une langue que la plupart des
enfants palestiniens ne parle pas. Chaque année, environ 1000
enfants sont condamnés devant les tribunaux militaires
israéliens.
Les raids nocturnes représentent la forme d’arrestation la
plus courante, au cours de laquelle les soldats israéliens
vont mettre la maison à sac, détruire les biens et agresser
physiquement les membres de la famille. La personne arrêtée a
ensuite les mains menottées et les yeux bandés avant d’être
jetée face contre terre à l’arrière d’une fourgon militaire,
où elle continuera de subir coups, insultes et humiliations.
Sous la loi militaire israélienne, les Palestiniens peuvent
être interrogés pendant une période 90 jours et l’accès à un
avocat peut leur être refusé pendant les 60 premiers jours.
Depuis 1967, 73 Palestiniens sont morts au cours
d’interrogatoires israéliens, le dernier en date était Arafat
Jaradat, torturé à mort lors d’un interrogatoire supervisé par
G4S en Février 2013.
Nous pressons chacun d’entre vous de participer à des actions
pour la Journée pour les prisonniers palestiniens le 17 Avril,
afin de manifester notre solidarité avec la lutte des
prisonniers politiques Palestiniens.
Arrêtons G4S – Appel à Bill Gates à se retirer du capital
maintenant !
Il y a 2 ans, à a veille de la grève de la faim menée en masse
par plus de 2000 prisonniers politiques Palestiniens, Addameer
et les autres organisations palestiniennes appelaient à une
campagne contre G4S, l’entreprise de sécurité britannique qui
fournit les services de sécurité et les équipements dans les
prisons israéliennes.
Comme illustration de la croissance rapide du mouvement
Boycott, Désinvestissement, Sanctions (BDS), les campagnes
contre G4S sont en cours dans plus d’une douzaine de pays. Des
universités, banques, organisations caritatives et des
syndicats à travers le monde ont annulé leurs contrats avec
G4S en raison de son rôle dans l’odieux système carcéral
israélien.
La fondation Bill et Melinda Gates, plus grosse fondation
caritative au monde, possède des parts à hauteur de plus de
170M de dollars au sein de G4S. La fondation Gates indique
être « guidée par la conviction que toutes les vies ont la
même valeur » et qu’elle utilise ces investissements pour
financer des projets qui vont « aider chaque personne à mener
une vie saine et productive ». Mais à travers ces parts au
sein de G4S, la fondation Gates cautionne et profite des actes
de torture et d’arrestations de masse pratiqués par Israël.
Pour cette journée de lutte pour les prisonniers politique
