First Class in the 2016 Traditional French Cooking Series Features Croquettes de Veau, unique
part of Spring Cuisine in France: Le Printemps est dans l'assiette!
Brigitte Gomane became the cook in her family from a young age while growing up in France. A
former director of the Alliance here in New Orleans, Brigitte continues sharing her love of French
cuisine by leading these classes which feature regional French dishes, including 3 courses &
wine. Ms. Gomane has over 20 years of experience teaching French classes to adults and
children in both group and private settings, including cooking classes and demonstrations.
Learn how to make traditional, homestyle meals and enjoy them with a glass of wine and
conversation!
All classes take place on Friday evenings from 6 PM to 8:30 PM in the brand new cooking demo
kitchen at The Southern Food & Beverage Museum.

WHAT: Traditional French cooking classes organized by the Alliance Française of New Orleans.
Includes class, dinner & wine. The April class, Le Printemps est dans l'assiette!, will consist of
dishes that feature spring favorites in French cuisine. The menu includes: Céleri rémoulade
avec croûtons (Celery with remoulade dressing and croutons), Croquettes de veau au bleu de
Bresse (Fried veal dumplings with Bleu de Bresse cheese), jardinière de petits legumes frais
(Fresh mixed vegetables), and Fraises Bourdaloue (Strawberry tarte with Bourdaloue cream).

PRICE: $70 for Alliance Française members. $85 for non-members. Annual membership to the
Alliance can be purchased for $50.
