AGENDA
Location : wine growing Burgundy : After Bordeaux, Colmar, La Baule, Nuits Saint Georges, St. Brieuc,
Mende and Moulins, Nuits St. Georges again will enable us to rediscover a region of France internationally
recognized, the Côte d’Or (AKA the best Burgundy wines), particularly la côte des Nuits which contains world
class wines : Gevrey Chambertin, Clos Vougeot, Romanée Conti, Vosne Romanée, Morey St. Denis…
Between Dijon and Beaune, this area combines terrain, micro climate and knowhow to provide world class
wines.
Airplane Arrivals/Departures : It is possible to arrive as early as Friday and depart at any time. We do not
anticipate restrictions. You must however as usual consult Nuits St. Georges (LFGZ) NOTAMS, have
registered with the VCF and received an authorization from the DGAC (see bellow). Flight procedures will de
undertaken within the context of an uncontrolled airport. The organizers decline any and all responsibility as to
non compliance with flight regulations.
Radio : Arrivals and departures shall be air to air. We ask that you be particularly watchful as we anticipate
fairly heavy traffic Saturday and Sunday. We ask the English and other foreigners to do their best with their
French – air to air communication being officially French. There may be French pilots in the pattern who do not
understand English.
Airport subject to PPR – The Nuits St. Georges (LFGZ) airport being of restricted access, you are required
to solicit from the DGAC an authorization attributed to the pilot, not the airplane. The request should be
addressed to [email protected] (DGAC Bourgogne/Franche-Comté). Here is the text
you should send – it’s a 6 month request :

Customs – Since Nuits St. Georges does not have customs/immigration facilities, participants coming from
non Schengen countries must acquit themselves with legal requirements prior to arrival. We shall check with
the French border police whether this can be done via email – I believe this to be possible with the British
under certain circumstances.

Fuel - 100LL available directly from the aero club – payment possible by check on a Euro account or cash
(Euros please – no Sterling or other) Sorry no credit cards, foreign currency, no foreign checks. Please refuel
on arrival – don’t wait for departure.
Airplane Parking – The site is large enough to accommodate the anticipated attendance. Airplanes will be
parked on the grass on the aero club side. Pilots are requested to tie their planes down securely.
Registration – After refueling, parking and securing their airplanes, pilots and passengers should register with
the VCF inside the aero club.
Meals and other items – Payment for meals will be accepted in cash or check (euros only – we cannot
accept non euro currency nor non French checks). Travelers from non euro zones please anticipate your
needs and come with Euros – there is no ATM on the field. Luggage can be stored in the aero club while
waiting for transfer to hotels. Pilots wishing to present their airplanes to the RV jury may do so when
registering. As usual we shall offer prizes.
Landing and parking fees – As usual, there will be no landing and parking fees. € cash only.
Weather – The aero club will post weather forecasts in the pilot room. Pilots will have access to the Internet
for their flight planning. Weather bulletins will be posted Sunday morning.
Meals - A food truck will be on site during the fly-in for drinks and possibly sandwiches.
Breakfast – we shall not be providing breakfast – it shall be up to each of you, particularly those who
camp, to anticipate your breakfast needs.
Friday The aero club will organize, weather and number of attendants permitting, a barbecue in the
evening. Cost approximately 10€ BUT DO NOT COUNT ON THIS. Payment on site in € cash.
Saturday lunch – We propose mussels with French fries and possibly sandwiches. Payment on site.
Gala dinner 45,00€ on Saturday night a the hotel Brechère within walking distance of the airport.
Sunday nothing has been anticipated food wise however we might be able to provide something..
Hotels and camping facilities – You can reserve a room in one of several hotels not far from the airport – at
most 3 kms. We shall provide a minibus service which will do the rounds of the nearby hotels, those marked
with an ‘*’ You can also camp on site against your airplane. There will be toilet facilities and limited access to
the shower in the aero club..
Transport to/from the airport – A shuttle service via minibus driven by one of the aero club members will be
provided free of charge. Mainly towards hotels designated with an ‘*’ Participants who arrive by car are invited
to assist with transportation of those who arrive by airplane. Return to the hotels marked as ‘*’ after Saturday
night’s gala dinner shall be secured by minibus or car.
There will be a free wine tasting session at 19h00 Saturday night. Bring plenty of money as you may want
to take some wine back with you.
