Natasha Torres-Garner has been an
active performer for the past decade.
As a creator she has presented short
and full length works across Canada,
Germany, and England. Natasha is the
Organization Director of Young Lungs
Dance Exchange and was appointed
Dance Ambassador for Winnipeg’s
Cultural Capital of Canada award in
2010.

Natasha Torres-Garner est active à
titre d’artiste de spectacle depuis la
dernière décennie. À titre de créatrice,
elle a présenté de courts spectacles
et des œuvres de longue durée au
Canada, en Allemagne et en Angleterre.
Elle est directrice d’organisation de
Young Lungs Dance Exchange et a été
nommée ambassadrice de la danse pour
Winnipeg, nommée Capitale culturelle
du Canada en 2010.

A sneak preview of two brand new
contemporary dance creations. Bring
your lawn chairs and enjoy the great
outdoors as dancers Johanna Riley and
Ali Robson perform on the green. Join
Natasha and the dancers afterwards for
a chat and gain a rare glimpse into the
creative journey of the choreographer.

RESIDENCY PROJECT
During her residency, Natasha will
work on two new solo dance creations.
Established contemporary dancers
Johanna Riley and Ali Robson will
each spend one week at the cabin
with Natasha as she finalizes the
choreography for each piece. The works
explore a woman’s relationship with
her own sexuality and fertility. These
new solo creations will be presented
together with the work of Winnipeg
choreographer, Karen Kuzak in 2013.

CHALET DEEP BAY
Pendant son stage, Natasha préparera
deux créations en danse pour soliste.
Johanna Riley et Ali Robson, danseuses
contemporaines établies, passeront
à tour de rôle une semaine au chalet
avec Natasha pour mettre au point
la chorégraphie de chaque morceau
de danse. Les œuvres exploreront la
relation d’une femme avec sa sexualité
et sa fertilité. Les morceaux pour
solistes seront présentés avec le travail
de la chorégraphe winnipégoise Karen
Kuzak en 2013.
