ince the earliest days of
humanity, the Nile River valley
has drawn and captivated
travelers from around the world.
With this is mind, Samir Hanna,
Commandeur and Membre
Honoraire du Conseil Magistral, and
Margrit Shakir, Officier, Dame de la
Chaîne, organized and accompanied
a group of 40 dignitaries and distin-
guished members of la Chaîne des
Rôtisseurs from Canada and USA on
a fifteen-day exclusive tour to Egypt
— the inheritor of an unbroken civilization of more than 5000 years, with
its fascinating mixture of modern
diversity and ancient splendor.
The tour started on 20th September
with the group spending 6 nights in
Cairo, 4 nights on a Nile cruise and 3
nights in Sharm El Sheikh on the Red
Sea. On their second night in Cairo,
the group enjoyed a special dinner
organized by the Bailliage of Egypt at
the Ramses Hilton. Another special
and exquisite dinner was organized
by the Fairmont Heliopolis for the
group. No doubt the tour was a
memorable one for all participants.

un circuit gastronomique de l’Egypte. Sur la photo, les participants provenant
du Canada, des USA, de Porto Rico, du Vénézuela, de Hollande et de Thailande
en compagnie du bailli du Caire lors d’un diner de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs de
l’Egypte. Nos félicitations à M et Mme Hanna pour le succès de ce voyage.
