The Township organized this meeting to hear
members of the public on a proposed by-law
which would permit all retail businesses to be
open on certain statutory holidays, as per the
requirements of Section 4 (6) of the Retail
Business Holiday Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. R. 30.

d’entendre le public relativement à un règlement
proposé qui autoriserait tous les commerces
d’ouvrir lors de certains congés statutaires,
conformément au paragraphe 4 (6) de la Loi sur

PROPOSED ZONING AMENDMENT – André MODIFICATION PROPOSÉE AU ZONAGE –

The Zoning Amendment affects lands fronting
on Main Street West (County Road 10), known
as Part of Lots 10 and 11, Concession 5,
formerly in West Hawkesbury and Part of Park
Lot H and J, Plan 35, formerly in the Town of
Vankleek Hill, municipally known as 63 Main
Street, now in the Township of Champlain, as
shown on the Key Map. The subject site is
designated as a Rural and Urban Area land
use designation in the United Counties of
Prescott and Russell Official Plan. The property
is presently zoned Rural (RU), Rural –
exception 18 (RU-18) and Residential Two –
exception 7 (R2-7) in comprehensive Zoning
By-Law No. 2000-75.
La proposition de modification au Règlement de
zonage affecte une partie du terrain dont la
façade donne sur la rue Main ouest (chemin de
comté no 10), soit la partie des lots 10 et 11,
concession 5, auparavant dans Hawkesburyouest et la partie des lotrs Parc H et J, plan 35
autrefois dans la ville de Vankleek Hill, la
désignation civique étant le 63, rue Main,
maintenant dans le canton de Champlain, comme
démontré sur la carte d’emplacement. Le site en
question est désigné rural et aire urbaine au Plan
officiel des Comtés unis de Prescott et Russell. La
propriété est présentement dans la zone rurale
(RU), la zone rurale – exception spéciale 18 (RU18) et la zone résidentielle deux – exception

This By-Law will change the zoning for the
lands noted above. This property is subjected
to an approved draft plan of subdivision (File:
050-S-10-006) which is proposed to result in
the creation of four (4) lots intended for semiDetached dwelling units.
Ce règlement changera le zonage d’une portion
du terrain susmentionné. Cette propriété fait
l’objet d’une approbation d’ébauche de
lotissement (dossier 050-S-10-006) dont le
résultat permettra la création de quatre (4) lots
destinés à des unités d’habitation de type jumelé.
The Zoning By-Law Amendment rezones a
portion of the property from “Rural (RU)” and
“Rural – exception 19 (RU-18)” to “Open Space
– Special Exception 5 Zone (O-r)” in order to
permit golf-related activities.
La proposition de modification au Règlement de
zonage change le zonage d’une partie de la
propriété de zone rurale (RU) et zone rurale –
exception spéciale 18 (RU-18) à zone espace vert
– exception spéciale 5 (O-5) afin de permettre des
activités reliées à la pratique du golf.
This zoning change will allow a golf course, a
driving range, a club house, the sale of golf
equipment, the serving of food and a liquor
licence.
Cette modification de zonage permettra un
parcours de golf, une aire de pratique, un pavillon
de golf, la vente d’équipement de golf, l’offre de
nourriture ainsi qu’un permis d’alcool.

any questions or comments or if they objected
to the proposed amendment. Council asked the
Planner for a few explanations.
