Comment: Deborah Park, Auctioneer for the sale: We are extremely pleased with the results of today’s sale,
which saw a packed saleroom, buzzing telephone lines and strong internet bidding through Christie’s Live. Prices
for a number of lots exceeded their pre-sale estimates, with the top lot, Raoul Dufy (1877-1953), Carnaval à Nice,
achieving £74,900 against an estimate of £40,000-60,000. We look forward to our upcoming sales of Impressionist
and Modern Art at King Street on 4 – 5 February and at South Kensington on 1 April 2008.
