WANT TO BE A PART IN INTERNATIONAL PROJECT? WANT TO MEET PEOPLE FROM 7 EUROPEAN COUNTRIES? EUROCAMP NÎMES BEING AN ACTIVE CITIZEN ! WHAT? EuroCamp: Being active citizen! WHEN? Septembre 21-30, 2015 WHERE? Nîmes, Maison Diocésaine de Nîmes WHO? Maison de l’Europe de Nîmes PROJECT The main goal of the project is to discuss, exchange and brainstorm about citizenship. « What does it mean to be an active citizen on the local – national and european level ? During this week we will discover different forms of engagement and active citizenship in different european countries. This all will happen in intercultural atmosphere, nonfromal and creative way. The participants will participate actively during all the project. The final outcome of the project is organisation of CItizenship Forum at the City Hall of Nîmes with presence of local, national and European representatives. PLANE The fastest and the most comfortable way is to arrive by plane. The closest international airport is Marseille Provence airport. From the airport you can take the navette to the train station Marseille Vitrolles, from which there is a direct connection to Nîmes. We advise you to check your connnection to these airports: Bordeaux Mérignac Paris (Chrles de Gaulle, Beauvais) Lyon Saint-Exupéry Montpellier Mediterranee TRAIN To find your train connection, check SNCF: www.sncf.com Nîmes has really good train connection with Paris, Lyon and Montpellier. Nîmes ACCOMODATION: The participants will be accomodated in triple rooms at Maison Diocésaine de Nîmes (6 Rue Salomon Reinach, 30000 Nîmes)- map below. PROGRAM Monday Day 1 Arrival of participants, welcome dinner Tuesday Day 2 Mission Nimoîse, French evening Wednesday Day 3 World café about citizenship, International evening Thursday Day 4 visit of City hall, street action Friday Day 5 World café; Intercultural evening Saturday Day 6 debate with MEP, European Parliament role play Sunday Day 7 European Olympiade Monday Day 8 European Citizenship Inititaive Tuesday Day 9 Citizenshiop Forum organised by participants Wednesday Day 10 departure of participants TRAVEL COSTS Your travel costs will be fully reimbursed up to amont of 170 EUR. Participants are kindly asked to send your invoices ASAP to enable us to distribute the reimbursment in the most appropriate way for all participants. PARTICIPATION FEE Every participant will have to pay a participation fee of 50€ THE ROLE OF PARTICIPANTS This project is not about us, but about YOU! Your active participation, ideas and enthusiasm will be the crucial part of the EuroCamp! Ready to share your ideas? To discuss with people from different countries? To practice French? For the intercultural evening the participants are asked to bring some national specialities (food, sweets, drinks) to share with others:) WORKING LANGUAGES The working laguage will be English and some language animations will take place to learn and practice French.
