3. Frederick Frank´s The book Le Paris de Simenon (Tchou, Paris 1969; Dessart, Bruxelles, 1969) and
its translations Simenon´s Paris (Dial Press, New York, 1970) and Het Parijs van Simenon
(Ontwikkeling, Antwerpen, 1969) is a large-sized volume with watercolors by Fr. Franck and excerpts from
Paris-based Simenon novels.
4. The books Simenon by Jean Louvet (Éd. Lansman, Carnières, 1994) and Simenon, fils de Liège by
Jacques Henrard (Éd. Lansman, Carnières, 2003) are plays (inspired by the life of Simenon).
5. The book Maigret und der Fall Simenon (Residenz-Verlag, Salzburg 2001, original: Maigret e il caso
Simenon, Robin, 1998) by Maurizio Testa is a novel; the same author has written the novels
L'uomo che voleva essere Maigret (Robin 2000), Adieu Simenon (Robin, 2002), Omaggio a Georges
Simenon (Sistema Editoriale SE-NO , 2003) and Chez Maiget (Elle u multimedia, Roma, 2003). Also a
novel is Mio marito Maigret by Barbara Notaro Dietrich (Edizioni e/o, Roma, 2004) describing Maigret
through the eyes of his wife.
Los siete hijos de Simenon by Ramón Díaz Eterovic (Seix Barral, Barcelona, 2000; French edition Les
Sept Fils de Simenon, Métailié, Paris, 2001, German edition Kater und Katzenjammer, Diogenes,
Zürich, 2001) is a chilean detective novel (the detective´s (Heredia) cat is named Simenon). The Herediaseries comprises (as of 2006) 11 novels and a short story collection.
A book of poetry is La Finestra di Simenon (Zone Editrice, Roma, 1999) by Piera Mattei.
Cinco tardes con Simenon (Norma, Bogota 2003) by Julio Paredes is a crime novel set in Liège
(with Simenon being one of the characters).
A novel is Mannen som ville vara Simenon / L'Homme qui voulait être Simenon by Marianne Jeffmar
(Östlings Bokförlag Symposion, Eslöv, 2000) / (Phébus, Paris 2003 ).
6. The Office du tourisme in Liège has published a booklet with the description of a Simenon circuit
(Parcours Simenon) at the Robermont cemetary (in Liège) where many relatives and friends of Simenon are
