Safety Rules
Do not leave a candle unattended. Never burn a candle on or near
anything that can catch fire. Keep candles out of the reach of children
and pets. Do not ingest. Be sure the candleholder is placed on a stable,
heat-resistant surface. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches
and debris at all times. Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents,
ceiling fans and air currents. Always burn candles in a well-ventilated
room. Don’t burn a candle all the way down. Extinguish the flame if it
comes too close to the holder or container. Never extinguish candles
with water. Make sure a candle is completely extinguished and the wick
ember is no longer glowing before leaving the room. Never use a candle
as a night light. Extinguish a candle if it smokes, flickers repeatedly, or the
flame becomes too high. The container may become very hot after a
long burning period.

Couper les mèches avant chaque brûlage afin qu’elles ne dépassent pas 1 cm.
Toujours laisser brûler la bougie jusqu’à ce que toute sa superficie devienne liquide.
Ceci évitera qu’elle ne se creuse et préservera son exceptionnelle qualité.
(Cela peut prendre longtemps au premier brûlage lorsque la cire est plus dure)
Si après quelques heures de brûlage votre bougie fume noire, c’est que les mèches sont trop
longues. Il est temps de l’éteindre.
Cinq minutes après avoir éteint la bougie, et avant que la cire ne se soit totalement solidifiée,
repositionner les mèches à la verticale et à leur emplacement initial.
Régulièrement nettoyer l’intérieur de la bougie afin d’éviter la formation de suie.
Ne jamais brûler le dernier centimètre de cire afin d’éviter que la mèche brûle contre
le verre/métal.
- Une mèche qui brûle contre le verre peut provoquer l’éclatement du verre !
- La bougie pourrait s’enflammer si il y a présence de suie sur la paroi intérieure !

Kürzen Sie die Dochte vor dem Brennvorgang – sie sollten nie länger als 1 cm sein.
Lassen Sie Ihre Baobab Kerze immer so lange brennen, bis die gesamte Oberfläche flüssig ist.
Dies gewährleistet, dass Ihre Kerze gleichmäßig abbrennt, ohne einen Rand stehen zu lassen.
(Es kann beim ersten Brennvorgang deutlich länger dauern)
Entsteht nach mehrstündigem Brennvorgang dunkler Rauch, ist dies ein Zeichen, dass die
Dochte zu lang sind. Es ist Zeit, die Kerze zu löschen und die Dochte zu kürzen.
Bringen Sie nach dem Löschen der Kerze die Dochte in eine aufrechte Position, bevor das
Wachs wieder erstarrt ist.
Reinigen Sie regelmäßig die Innenseite des Kerzengefäßes, um die Ablagerung von Ruß zu
vermeiden.
Lassen Sie die Kerze niemals leer brennen. Brennt die Flamme direkt am Glas oder auf
dem Boden des Glasgefäßes, kann das Glas/Metall platzen.
- Brennt eine Flamme direkt am Glas oder am Boden des Gefäßes, kann das Glas platzen !
- Zu viel Ruß am Innenrand des Gefäßes kann zu einer Stichflamme führen !
IMPORTANT
1. Trim the wicks before each burning. They can not exceed 1 cm, 1/3 inch.
2. Always burn the candle until the whole surface becomes liquid.
This will avoid the candle to hollow and preserve its exceptional quality.
(It can take a long time at first burning when the wax is hard)
3. Dark smoke after some hours burning means the wicks are too long.
It is time to put out the candle.
4. Five minutes after putting out the candle and before the wax is totally
solid, reposition the wicks vertically to their initial place.
5. Regularly clean the inside of the candle to avoid the appearance
of soot.
6. Never burn the last centimeter, 1/2 inch of wax to avoid wicks burning
against the glass/metal.

> A wick burning against the glass may result into the blasting of the glass !
> The presence of soot inside the candle could result in a candle fire !
