It is a pathway to be discovered.
It is a common bond connecting Yaël Malignac and Guillaume Descoings' creativity and wishes.
It is in this magic place that the unexpected is created.
Yaël Malignac graduated from one of the largest schools of art and design in Europe, l'Ecole Boulle in
Paris. She then spent 11 years working in the luxury goods industry where she gained a great deal of
experience. Firstly in the design department of Cristalleries Lalique and later for Porcelains JL Coquet creating
tableware and silverware.
Guillaume Descoings has been a ceramic modeller since 1998. For fifteen years he worked as an
instructor and a technician, as well as being a project developer for interior design. They were both working in the porcelain industry when they met so it was with this material that they
decided to work together.
"There was a strong similarity between our creative and technical skills and that gave us the desire to form this
duo.
We want the unusual, the unexpected, some poetry and beauty. We wish to create contrasts to promote the
porcelain. Its whiteness, its fragility, and its translucence.
We can create individual decorative objects or produce items in small batches.
Graines
With these seeds we want to spread our vision of harmony and delicacy. We wish to also transmit and
share a small part of ourselves, our contrasts, as a testimony to that which surrounds us today.
Presently we create 4 decor lines for these shapes.

Pixels
Pixel began as a desire to create a work of art in porcelain that was both huge and luminous.Today it is a
lighting system which offers an infinite variety of custom designed possibilities.
Light sculptures, screens, light fixtures, decor panels...
The Pixel
A 5 cm square porcelain biscuit that is available in 10 different thicknesses.
Screen production and installation
• Each square is held in place by a stainless steel wire. The wire diameter is dependant on the size of the
piece.
• There are 10 thicknesses of Pixel, giving 10 different translucencies. Once assembled, they allow
patterns to be created.
• Once assembled the pixels can create some large pieces. There is a 4 metre height limit but no limit to
the width. The whole piece can be curved, or folded up to 45°.
• Each project is custom-designed with a hanging system which is adapted to the locale and it's particular
constraints . The materials used are various (wood, steel, stainless steel...).
