The Morgon is fabulously pure, an unfiltered, unfined, unsulphured, turbid Gamay.
The colour is on the dark side of cloudy ruby red, whilst aromas boom happily out of the glass,
notably kirsch, rhubarb and sweet blackberries; there‘s a more fugitive bouquet of warm earth,
stones and dried spice evolving into dark chocolate and cinnamon.

Château Gromel Bel Air lies just beyond the Fronsac boundary, on a very similar terroir &
boasts some of the highest vineyards in the area. On the nose, there are ripe red fruits with
smoky tobacco notes & a hint of oak. These aromas continue onto the silky palate along
with luscious red fruits and a more earthy, chewy tabacco, which nicely complements the
chewy but not overpowering tannins.
