THE VINTAGE
2011: A vintage with reverse and paradoxical climate, yet with two major advantages.
The return of the sun led to an exceptionally maturation, unfolding into a very fresh wine
during the harvest.
The wine started out closed but achieved fullness.

The plots : Lande de Berret, Haut Batailley.
TERROIR
Sandy gravel on clay subsoil.

WINEMAKING
Vinification by selected parcels.
Traditional maturation in barrel (of which 50% are renewed each year), for 14 months and
fining in vat before bottling.
Bottling at the Château on July 2013 (forecast).

Petit Verdot : 7%, Cabernet-sauvignon : 67%, Merlot : 26%
SERVICE
Temperature: 16-17°C.
Potential: 15-25 years.
TASTING
A deep ruby robe.
An expressive and complex nose displaying oaky and spicy notes.
Rich on the palate, of a very nice width, characterized by hints of cherry liquor.
An elegant and powerful wine.
