Finding Joseph Bois & Marie Caron lines is challenging because Joseph & Marie are
too generic given names. All Quebec catholics men have Joseph in their given
names and all Quebec catholics women have Marie in their given names.
In the possible time range I found 3 Bois-Caron marriages:
1)Joseph Etienne BOIS (Joseph & Madeleine MORIN)
m. 23 Feb 1806 Lévis
Marie Scholastique CARON (Jean Baptiste & Dostie)
2)Joseph Francois BOIS (Jacques & Angelique MIGNIER)
d. March 1820 age 77y St-Jean-Port-Joli (born abt 1743)
m2. 5 Nov 1781 St-Jean-Port-Joli
Marie Angelique CARON (Ignace & Marguerite ROUSSEAU)
3)Joseph Francois BOIS (Roch Sylvain & Josette PINEL)
b. after 1770
m. 26 Sep 1797 St-Jean-Port-Joli
Marie Catherine CARON (Jean Baptiste & M.- Catherine CHAPAIS)
b. 28 Apr 1779 St-Jean-Port-Joli
Pierre BOIS father is not likely Joseph Etienne as the later was living in Levis, not in
the same region.
Joseph Francois BOIS (son of Jacques) can not be Pierre Bois father because Pierre
was born abt 1820 the same year this Joseph Francois died at age 77y
So unless more infirming information is found It is plausible to think that Pierre BOIS
parents were Joseph Francois BOIS & Marie Catherine CARON. However please do
note that it is an HYPOTHESIS.
With generic given names Joseph & Marie ……hypothesis is an acceptable solution
until further information is found. A more advanced research would be needed to
verify.
Roch Sylvain BOIS (Jacques & Angelique MIGNIER dit LAGACE)
b. 16 Aug 1748 Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatiere
m. 19 Nov 1770 La Pocatiere
Josette PINEL (Joseph & Genevieve MIGNAULT dit LABRIE)

There is no evidence so far that Caroline BOIS is a native descendant.
However, SAVOIE, ARSENAU, BERNARD, LANDRY, POIRIER and DUGAS are
Acadian surnames. Very interesting lineages to search.
