Participating breweries also have the opportunity to enter their beers
Montreal, Fall 2011
Dear Brewmaster or Marketing Director,
Your brewery has been chosen to participate in the 19th annual Mondial de la bière. The Mondial de la Bière 2012 will
take place from JUNE 6 to 10, in the city of Montreal. It is the largest international beer festival in Canada. Last year, the
Mondial was visited by more than 96,000 people, who participated in tasting sessions, workshops, and shows. Since 1994,
the festival has offered a combination of locally brewed beers and beers from around the world. The Mondial de la bière
provides breweries with an excellent opportunity to exhibit and promote their products to a local and international clientele,
who travel to Montreal (Quebec, Canada) especially to taste exclusive beers in a dynamic and festive atmosphere.
Participating breweries also have the opportunity to enter their beers into the Greg Noonan MBeer
Contest, where they will compete against a wide range of beers and be assessed by a panel of
international judges.
“THE PETIT PUB” is the pavilion where your products will be showcased.
In order to present your products during the event, you will need to sell your beer to the Mondial de la bière. We need
approximatively 120 bottles (12 oz. or 341 ml) per product.
To place our order we would need to receive a preliminary list of your beers before November 18, 2011 (fax: 514-7228467 or [email protected]) including: - the name of the product, color and style - the percentage of alcohol - the
exportation price (FCA) per product (bottle) in your currency - the quantity (ounces or milliliters) per bottle and the number
of bottles per case.
The products that you want to sell must be available for pick up no later than February 3rd, 2012 (for BRAZIL-ARGENTINA-CHILI) —
March 9, 2012 (for EUROPE) and March 30, 2012 (for Canada and United-States)
The Mondial is looking for products that have never been showcased at the fest before and/or that have won a local or
international contest.
The Mondial de la bière will confirm which beers it will buy and then you will need to complete the final LIST OF PRODUCTS
(see join sheet).
You will subsequently receive an official purchase order form from the SAQ (Société des alcools du Québec).
You must sign and return the purchase order form to the SAQ (FAX: (514) 864-4437 or EMAIL: [email protected]) after
making sure that all the information is accurate, you must also indicate on which date your beer will be ready for pick up.
After getting the confirmation of which beers we will buy from you, you will have to complete the “PETIT PUB” registration
form and send your payment (We accept USD and CAD checks as well as credit card or banking transfers).
THE SAQ WILL PAY YOU DIRECTLY FOR THE BEER, FROM 30 TO 45 DAYS AFTER RECEPTION OF THE DELIVERY
IN MONTREAL.
The Mondial de la bière, THROUGH the SAQ, will be responsible for the transport COSTS of
your products from your brewery to Montreal and THE Quebec
FEES. THE SAQ WILL DESIGNATE A TRUCK (transportation company) FOR THE PICK UP.
importATION
AND
cUstOm
For your business, the costs incurred are the local customs charges for the authorization to export your products (for USA generally no
cost at all), the costs of the handling and loading of your products in the truck of the conveyor and the registration fees payable to the
Mondial de la bière - See “PETIT PUB” registration form.
TAKE NOTE: If you want to send promotional objects and/or advertisement, you must contact the Mondial de la bière before doing so.
DO NOT SEND IT WITH THE BEER. THANK YOU !
We need the following information to be printed out on your letterhead (see LIST OF PRODUCTS attached) and to be signed. Please
return by fax at 514 722-8467 before November 18, 2011.
On pick up day, the brewery will inform the transportation company that the merchandise must be sent to Quebec, at the SOCIÉTÉ DES
BOUCHERVILLE ST. MONTREAL (QUEBEC) H1N 3M7 CANADA.
ALCOOLS DU QUÉBEC (SAQ) AT 1900,
The brewery will give the transportation company the following information :
- A commercial invoice of the total value $ (Bill the SAQ and make reference to the Mondial de la bière)
- Description of product
- The size
- Product value per case
- Number of cases
- Exportation documents (If needed, inquire with a customs broker of your region)
Product Identification:
- Write the product code (IPC on the SAQ order form) on both small extremities of each case of beer. VERY IMPORTANT - See join pdf.
- Concerning the labels: we can take care of it (we will invoice you $4 per case) or you can do it yourself if you prefer : make sure
you give us all the label information (see join SAQ standards) in English at least and in French if possible (we will print a new label on
every bottle if needed).
The Mondial de la bière will serve samples of your products to its clientele in exchange for coupons valued at $1.00(CAD). The money
received will go to meet expenses like: the cost of beer, transportation, kiosk rental and staff wages.
Taking into account the mandatory transportation delays associated with the Société des Alcools du Québec (SAQ) as well as the
time to inspect the products upon arrival and the time to deliver the products afterwards to the Mondial de la bière, we will need the
documents before November 18, 2011.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions about the upcoming edition of the Mondial de la bière. We will
be contacting you shortly to inquire about your interest in promoting your products in Quebec.
If you want to come visit us in Montreal during the festival and/or to know more about us please visit our Web site at : www.

Thank you for the interest brought to considering this offer.
Cheers!
Santé!
