WHY
IMBIBROS?
We are frequently asked by customers, “what do you specialise
in?” assuming we focus on one particular country. The answer is
that we cover all wine producing countries from Old World classics
to New World stars (we are admittedly short on Romanian Pinot
Noir and the wines of Lanzarote), but our niche is small production,
boutique wineries with the odd larger exception.
Local

The ultimate in wine convenience
If you find that there are times when you are caught out by an
empty wine cupboard, and have to gamble with something
discounted in the supermarket, and let’s face it, we all have, then
the Imbibros Wine Club is for you.
The usual Wine Club formula involves high impact marketing
tumbling regularly from Sunday broadsheets and an introductory
offer that sounds too good to be true, but which the member
inevitably ends up paying for. At Imbibros we are different.
Here’s why:
Convenience. The Imbibros club suits you. Tell us how
often to deliver to you, the type of wines that you enjoy, and roughly
how much you want to spend. Then sit back and enjoy the fact
that you never need to resort to supermarket wine again.
Value. The price you pay is the price of the wine, not the
marketing and you will also enjoy a wine club discount of
10%. We will also make sure that you benefit from any seasonal
special offers too.

If you are planning an event – perhaps a Christmas or Summer

supply wines that are expertly selected to match the occasion,
but also recommend caterers and event organisers to make sure
that everything runs smoothly.
For the ultimate gift, look no fur ther than our speciality

Presented in a wicker hamper and personally delivered, these gifts
always impress. They are tailored to your own requirements, small
or large with any number of themes. So call us – your friends or

Wine Buying Made Easy
At the heart of Imbibros we believe in offering quality
wines and a quality service at the right price. We
know that our customers appreciate this, but it
troubles us that occasionally you might have other
things to worry about rather than making your next
selection.
Wine Buying Made Easy has therefore become
something of a catchphrase for us, and we have
developed a series of wine cases, ready mixed to
guarantee your enjoyment. It couldn’t be easier. In
the interest of great service and great drinking we
will do the time-consuming decision making for you.

ORGANIC
WINES
In addition to ‘carbon footprint’ and ‘climate change’, the term
‘organic’ has surely got to be the buzz word of the noughties. At
Imbibros, we’re in no doubt that ‘organic’ not only reflects reduced
chemical usage but also careful winemaking. Many of the best grape
growers are adopting vineyard management techniques which
maximise the natural control of pests and diseases. This is as good
for the wine as for the environment as it reduces the level of
intervention in the winery even if the grower doesn’t seek organic
certification.
As a young, dynamic company we are delighted to announce our
first ever certified-organic wine listings. This is still virgin territory
for us so the selection below will change and increase in accordance
with demand.

Etienne Grivot, who took up

Burgundy’s most talented

rich, fine and concentrated,
Grivot’s wines are the optimum

the 2004 Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Vosne Romanee (£29.95), a more
serious style, displays complex
ripe berry flavours and firm

Loudenne
There is a saying in Bordeaux
that g
“ reat Medoc terroirs

chateau of Loudenne is in
prime position (see picture,
above). An even balance of
Merlot and Cabernet
Sauvignon, this wine is very
sophisticated, with
blackcurrant fruit, soft

best features of affordable
Claret and demanded a place

LOIRE
With the current popularity of New World Sauvignon Blanc,
particularly New Zealand, it is all too easy to forget about the
classic whites from the beautiful Loire Valley.
FRANCE
Muscadet: crisp, dry and seafood-friendly. Chenin Blanc producing
some of the Loire's finest whites, from stunning, bone dry
Savennieres and Jacky Blot’s extraordinary Montlouis Sec, right
through to the exquisitely versatile and deliciously sweet wines
from the Coteaux du Layon and Montlouis. Delicious reds
from Saumur-Champigny, Chinon, and outrageously good
Bourgueil from Yannick Amirault show what wonders Cabernet
Franc can yield.
Finally we include great value Sauvignons such as the ‘baby
Sancerre’ Cheverny from Domaine du Salvard and from the
Coteaux du Giennois.

Sherry is one of the most underrated wines. With the British

challenge to approach the drier styles with an open mind and
a winning food match. Our range spans the driest and the

and Finos are wines which cry out for a bowl of pistachios and
slices of serrano, while Lustau’s Almacenistas are Jerez’s equivalent
of excellent single vineyard wines.
Our Pedro Ximenez wines are divinely rich and intensely
sweet with flavours of molasses and dried fruits. It seems
astonishing that wines of this complexity can be so easily
affordable.
When it comes to Port in front of the open fire, we include
wines from the pioneering Dirk Niepoort and dynamic Ramos

best houses and you will have the perfect partner for any stilton.
Our Madeira starts and finishes with Barbeito. From a slice

We occasionally include olive oil
in our shipments from the best
Italian estates, as much for our
own indulgance as anything else.
These luminescent green oils are
a world apart from the mass
produced norm and are great for
gifts or just your own enjoyment!
