They just arrived in a small town where Nabil has murdered his young wife and her lover. The whole village is after him. That night, Maria sees her husband and her friend kissing. She wanders through the corridors of the hotel and finds Nabil, hidden on the roof. She decides to save him... At the same time, he develops his own projects. His two short films, DESTINATION (2005) and L’AUTRE RIVE (2008) are selected in many festivals worldwide and are respectively aired on French channels France 2 and France 3. THE STORM INSIDE is his first feature. DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT “I just directed two medium length films when I started thinking about a story with a fugitive as main character. I remembered Ten-­‐Thirty on a Summer Night, discovered in my twenties. The story immediately strikes you: a woman, Maria, meets a man on the run, who killed his wife and her lover. The book resonated with me and I decided to use the thread, quickly taking distance from it, in order to create a free adaptation. As Maria fantasizing on this murder, I myself fantasized Marguerite Dumas’ book. I reinvented it, keeping what I liked the most: entering Maria’s brain, that woman thrown into the confusion of a small town where Nabil committed a murder.” REEL SUSPECTS SARL – PRESS KIT – THE STORM INSIDE
