Intention Notes
Because I had the opportunity to perform in Serbia, to spend time there, to talk with Serbian artists and to see the extent to which our professional approaches could differ... A desire to share these, to collide them and to discover ourselves.
Because for three years I’ve been performing with the Dionysos theatre in Cahors, which receives subsidies for international cooperation.
Because the Bosko Buha Theatre welcomed me from the outset. Just like a breath of air, inspiration is at the heart of all creation, and this carries me towards my next choreographic work , towards the immaterial element ‘air’, towards the primal instinct of respiration, towards the determination that is breathing.

evokes the air which movement needs and the movement which stirs the air. At the end of the road it’s like this tornado, this blast of energy which makes us feel so small. ‘Just to Wind You’ is also about being able to laugh about being a feather in the wind: you have to be pumped up, but just thinking about it makes you feel lighter. Twelve people will appear on stage – dancers, actors, circus performers and musicians who are carried on the air currents of Slav music, blowing hot and cold and having fun with how the contemporary winds blow. ”

Michèle Dhallu discovered dance through jazz and is inspired still by it’s energy and swing. After having worked at the National Centre of Contemporary Dance in Angers under the direction of Viola Farber, she began her choreographic career by founding her own company Carré Blanc. Eclectic by nature, she likes to exploit different artistic expressions on stage, alternating various styles and in particular, exploring them with the public. After “Chiffonnade”, a choreographic solo for young children, her next project “Just to Wind You”, will be for an adult audience and will bring together eight artists and a fanfare in a Franco-Serbian co-production.
Marc Calas a percussionist by training. Having accompanied dance for many years LILEWHIZIPSTIHEVIPEXMSRWLMTERHEREJ½nity with choreography. Composer for AnneMarie Porras, Yvan Alexandre, Yann Lheureux, Rick Odums or Florence Saul, he has continued his passion by creating the group Boris and the Quincaillers and more recently a musical theatre solo “Toboggan” Monsieur Truc. In addition he makes his own original and somewhat eccentric instruments and produces original soundtracks for audiovisual.

Grand Large enabled them to intensely explore the place that music and its musicians have on stage in a choreographic creation.

Air my writing, rendering it less dense, less dance To search deep within myself to see which way the wind blows. With bated breath... change is in the air… Breathe ! And inspire an enormous set in order to take the spectators breathe away, that they inhale without boredom, gasp the fresh air, blow on them the hot and cold that leaves them gasping for breath, breath in the emotions that inspire them, that they sigh, pant breathless, whisper, inhale, exhale, ... that they imagine !

For the choice of a fanfare, beyond the idea of a wind instrument, there’s also the potential for parading motion which interests me, and the choice of music from the Balkans with these rhythms in 7 or 9 time which are rather unusual to our ears and which electrify me. Physically and in choreographical terms, I’m a telluric dancer, which is why the air interests me so much. I investigate the relationship with gravity. Flying away. I desire a surface from which one tears oneself, violently or softly, and which one comes back to, with a bang or gently, whether the scenario LEWXSHS[MXLFIMRK¾EXSRXLIKVSYRHMRQMHEMV
or hanging in the sky. And the fact that in these bodily states, we sought the voice of theatre, the circus performance and the breathing of the music.
