Traffic laws and current traffic conditions must always be observed and take precedence over the instructions
issued by the navigation system.
The user should be aware of situations where current traffic conditions and the instructions from the navigation
system may be in conflict.
The use of the navigation system does not relieve the user of his/her responsibilities. The user is ultimately
responsible for the vehicle under his/her control and should be aware of the surroundings at all times. For traffic
safety reasons, it is recommended that routes should be planned in a stationary vehicle before starting a trip.
Privacy: Operation of the navigation system requires that the user’s position be sent to a central server for use
in certain features of MOTONAV. The server is operated by Jentro Technologies GmbH, a Motorola-approved
service provider (www.jentro.com). This information will only be used to provide the requested service and will
not be shared with any additional third parties. Users who prefer not to permit such tracking and monitoring
should avoid using the navigation system.

Secure phone and Bluetooth GPS receiver
See figure 1 on page 1.
Secure phone in car
You can safely secure your phone in your car using the universal phone holder included with your navigation
system. With the universal phone holder, you have three options for securing your phone. Each option is
described below along with detailed illustrations to the right.
•To secure your phone to the dashboard using the phone holder and extension arm, first place the four
legs into the slots on the holder and slide down to lock into place as shown by (A). Then, affix the enclosed
circular disc to your dash or center console and attach the suction cup on the extension arm to the disc
(push down on lever) as shown by (B). Place your phone in the phone holder and squeeze the sides together.
To release your phone from the holder, push button on the left side.
•To secure your phone to the windshield using the phone holder and extension arm, first place the four legs
into the slots on the holder and slide down to lock into place as shown by (A). Then, attach the suction cup
on the extension arm to the windshield (push down on lever) as shown by (C). Place your phone in the phone
holder and squeeze the sides together. To release your phone from the holder, push button on the left side.
•To secure your phone to the front of the dashboard using only the phone holder, first affix the enclosed
adhesive or VELCRO® strips to both the phone holder and the desired location on the front of the dashboard
as shown by (D). Then, firmly attach the phone holder to dashboard using the VELCRO strips. Place your
phone in the phone holder and squeeze the sides together. To release your phone from the holder, push
button on the left side.
Tips for using the universal phone holder to secure your phone in your car:
•If the sides of the phone holder block buttons on the side of your phone, remove the L–shaped legs and insert
into the groove on the opposite side of the phone holder.
•To help keep the L–shaped legs in place, insert the enclosed rubber strip into the groove on either side of the
feet.
•If your phone is wide, insert one side of the phone first, then gently press the other side into place so that the
foam pads are not damaged.
• To minimize vibration when using the extension arm, rest the base of the phone holder on your dashboard.
• If needed, an extra set of foam pads are included for the phone holder.
Secure GPS receiver
You can safely secure your Bluetooth GPS receiver on the dashboard in your car or onto your belt*.
•To secure your GPS receiver to the dashboard in your car, first affix adhesive, VELCRO, or rubber pad onto
bottom of holder, then slide GPS receiver onto other side holder as shown by (E). Once assembled, secure
the GPS receiver by affixing the adhesive or VELCRO on the bottom of the holder to your dashboard (or if you
used the rubber pad, place on the dashboard).
•To secure your GPS receiver onto your belt, insert the GPS receiver into the belt clip holder following
numbered steps as shown by (F). Once the GPS receiver is inside the belt clip holder, use belt clip to place
onto your belt.

Install MOTONAV
Follow these steps to download and install the MOTONAV application on your phone.
Important:
You must be subscribed to a data service plan with your service provider for your phone. If not subscribed
to a data plan, contact your service provider.
Verify that the correct date and time are set on your phone before you start this procedure.
If you have a memory card in your phone, remove it before installing MOTONAV. You can reinsert your card
when MOTONAV installation is complete.

Locate the activation voucher in the box.
The voucher contains a 20-digit activation code used to activate and register your MOTONAV subscription.
2 On your phone, create a new Short Message Service (SMS) text message, type in the 20-digit code on
the activation voucher, and send the SMS message to the phone number of your country as listed on the
activation voucher.
You will be subscribed to 12 months of unlimited MOTONAV use in the selected country. After a few minutes,
you should receive two text messages from MOTONAV.

Open the text message containing MOTONAV login data.

Write down the user name and password, then delete the text message (for security purposes).

Open the text message containing a download link.
Important:
If you did not receive a text message with download link, open your phone’s web browser and go to get.
motonav.net to access the MOTONAV Download page. Proceed to step 7 to download the MOTONAV
application to your phone. When prompted, enter your user name.

Select/open link in the text message to open web browser and view the MOTONAV Download page.
Use the following tips to open the download link:
• To open link on Motorola phones, select Options > Go To or press center key and select Go To.
• To open link on Nokia phones, press center of Navigation key or use Options menu, then Use detail or
Find.

• To open link on Sony Ericsson phones, select Open.
Upon opening the link, a MOTONAV Download page is displayed in the web browser as shown below:

If prompted, select preferred language.
8 Select DOWNLOAD NOW and follow prompts to download and install MOTONAV application on your
phone.
When installation completes, DO NOT start MOTONAV application if prompted.

Set up navigation system
Start Bluetooth on phone
Before setting up MOTONAV, ensure the Bluetooth feature is turned on in your phone. To turn on Bluetooth on
Motorola phones:
1 Press (Main Menu) > Settings > Connection (or Connectivity) > Bluetooth Link > Setup.
2 Scroll to Power
3 Select Change
4 Scroll to On
5 Press Select to turn on the Bluetooth feature. The Bluetooth feature remains on until you turn the feature off
Note: These steps are for most Motorola phones. For all other phones, see your phone’s user guide.
Turn on GPS receiver
To begin setting up MOTONAV, you must first turn on the Bluetooth GPS receiver. To turn on your GPS receiver,
press and hold the Power button until the Battery Status indicator is lit. After a few moments, both the GPS and
Bluetooth indicator lights begin flashing.

Configure MOTONAV
Follow these steps to configure MOTONAV to operate with your navigation system.
1 If using a Nokia series 40 phone (5200, 5300, 6111, 6211, 6230i, 6233, 6234, 6280, and others), perform the
following steps:
(For all other phones, go to step 2.)
a Go to Applications and highlight MOTONAV (but do not start it).
b Select Options > Application access > Communication > Network access > Always allowed.
c Select Options > Application access > Communication > Connectivity > Always allowed.
d Select Options > Data/Phone access > Read user data > Always allowed.
e Select Options > Data/Phone access > Add and edit data > Always allowed.

On your phone, launch the MOTONAV application.
Follow the applicable steps below to launch MOTONAV on your phone:
- On Motorola phones, press (Main Menu) > Games & Applications.
- On Nokia phones, try Menu > Applications, Menu > My Own, or take a look into one of the subfolders.
- On Sony Ericsson phones, go to location specified during installation.

Configure the MOTONAV application:
- If a MOTONAV Setup Wizard screen is displayed, go to step 4 and follow prompts to launch and execute
the MOTONAV Setup Wizard.
- If a MOTONAV Setup Wizard screen is not displayed, skip to step 5 to manually configure settings.

Follow prompts to launch and perform the MOTONAV Setup Wizard. During the setup wizard. you will:

- Enter/save MOTONAV user name and password (as defined in step 4 of “Install MOTONAV”).
- Test/verify connectivity with the MOTONAV system.
- Pair/connect with the GPS receiver. (If prompted for Bluetooth passcode, enter 0000).
- Download and install voice announcements for guidance instructions.
- Set preferred measurement units.
A completion message is displayed when setup wizard is complete. Click Cancel to display MOTONAV main
screen (or proceed to display MOTONAV tips).
5 Follow these steps to configure MOTONAV:
Note: These steps need to be performed only if the MOTONAV Setup Wizard was not displayed and
completed (in step 4).
Note: Ensure the Bluetooth GPS receiver is turned on while performing these steps.
a Select Options > Settings > Login to enter user name and password (as specified in step 4 of “Install
MOTONAV”).
b Select Options > Settings > GPS to pair/connect with GPS receiver.
c Select Options > Settings > Voice announcements > Available downloads > Standard to download and
install voice announcements for guidance instructions.

Test and use
MOTONAV is now ready for use. To verify correct configuration:

Turn on GPS receiver and launch MOTONAV (if not already running on your phone).
2 Select Local search > Current Location (or Select Destination > Local search > Current Location).

Select a category to search and press Search.
MOTONAV should connect to your GPS receiver, obtain your current position, connect to the MOTONAV server
to do the search, and then present a list of the nearest matches on your phone.
After you have successfully set up your navigation system, you don’t need to repeat these steps.
For daily use, ensure that your GPS receiver is turned ON and MOTONAV is running on your phone.

Notes on navigation system operation
•The Bluetooth indicator light on the GPS receiver flashes until connected with your phone. A Bluetooth
connection is established only when a service that requires position (such as a route, map, or local search)
is requested by MOTONAV. During normal operation, because connection between your phone and GPS
receiver is established only when needed (not continuous), the indicator light changes between flashing and
steadily lit (or turns off as described below).
•The GPS indicator light flashes until the GPS receiver locks onto satellite signals and can determine your
position. During normal operation, the indicator light remains steadily lit (or turns off as described below).
•To avoid distraction, once Bluetooth is connected and GPS is acquired, both status lights turn off after 10
seconds. Press the Power button to momentarily turn on indicator lights and confirm that the unit is on.
•To conserve battery charge, GPS circuitry in the GPS receiver turns off if there is no Bluetooth connection
for over five minutes. A change in Bluetooth connection status turns the GPS circuitry back on.
•
To further conserve battery charge, the GPS receiver turns off if there is no Bluetooth connection for over
60 minutes. A change in Bluetooth connection status or a press of the Power button resets the power off
timer.
•To lock onto satellite signals and determine position, the GPS receiver should be outside buildings with a
clear view of the sky.
•With most phones, you will not be able to use the GPS receiver and a Bluetooth hands-free device at the
same time. You can use a wired headset or the speakerphone to take calls
•In MOTONAV, use Local Search to find businesses and points of interest near your current location or your
destination (or another location). Select the category (for example, Restaurant) and/or enter a keyword (for
example, steak) to search for.

•Some phone models support Pedestrian routing. To use while walking, select your destination, then select
Options > Route Settings > Activate Pedestrian Mode.
•Login to the MOTONAV website (www.hellomoto.com/motonav) to enter locations and manage your
MOTONAV account. Use your user name and password (as specified in step 4 of «Install MOTONAV»).
Some phone models support Travel Alerts. To use while driving, select Travel Companion on MOTONAV and you
will be alerted if a speed camera is in your vicinity. Not available in all countries
Using your GPS receiver
Turning on & off
To turn your GPS receiver on, press and hold the Power button until the Battery Status indicator light is lit. When
powering on, the three indicator lights are lit in succession.
To turn your GPS receiver off, press and hold the Power button until all three indicator lights are lit. When
powering off, the three indicator lights are turned off in succession, then the GPS receiver is turned off.
Charging
See figure 3 on page 2.

Open flap covering the charge connector. Plug the Motorola car charger into the charge connector.
2 The indicator light turns red or amber when the battery is charging. If the battery charge is very low, it may
take some time for the indicator light to turn on. When the GPS receiver battery is fully charged (up to 4
hours), the indicator light turns green.
3 Disconnect the charger. (Leaving the charger plugged in for an extended period may reduce the lifetime of
the battery.)
Note: The GPS receiver will operate normally while charging; however, the battery status indicator light will not
indicate full charge (green) when power is on.

Installation du téléphone et du récepteur GPS Bluetooth

Installation du téléphone dans le véhicule
Grâce au support de téléphone compris avec votre système de navigation, vous pouvez installer correctement
votre téléphone. Avec le support, vous avez trois options pour installer votre téléphone. Les descriptions de
chaque option se trouvent ci-dessous et les illustrations détaillées à droite.
•Pour installer votre téléphone sur le tableau de bord en utilisant le support et le bras d’extension, placez
d’abord les quatre pattes dans les fentes sur le support et faites-le glisser vers le bas pour le bloquer,
comme indiqué Figure (A). Puis, posez le disque sur votre tableau de bord ou sur la console centrale et fixez
la ventouse sur le bras d’extension au disque (en poussant le levier) comme indiqué Figure (B). Placez votre
téléphone dans le support et serrez des deux côtés. Pour dégager votre téléphone du support, poussez le
bouton sur le côté gauche.
•Pour installer votre téléphone sur le pare-brise en utilisant le support et le bras d’extension, , placez
d’abord les quatre pattes dans les fentes sur le support et faites-le glisser vers le bas pour le bloquer, comme
indiqué Figure (A). Puis, fixez la ventouse sur le bras d’extension au pare-brise (en poussant le levier) comme
indiqué Figure (C). Placez votre téléphone dans le support et serrez des deux côtés. Pour dégager votre
téléphone du support, poussez le bouton sur le côté gauche.
•Pour installer votre téléphone sur l’avant du tableau de bord en utilisant uniquement le support, posez
d’abord l’adhésif proposé ou des bandes VELCRO® sur le support et à l’emplacement désiré sur l’avant du
tableau de bord comme indiqué Figure (D). Puis, fixez fermement le support au tableau de bord en utilisant
les bandes VELCRO. Placez votre téléphone dans le support et serrez des deux côtés. Pour dégager votre
téléphone du support, poussez le bouton sur le côté gauche.
Conseils d’utilisation du support pour installer le téléphone dans votre véhicule :
•Si les côtés du support bloquent les boutons sur le côté de votre téléphone, retirez les pattes en L et insérezles dans la rainure sur le côté opposé du support.
•Pour garder les pattes en L en place, insérez la bande caoutchouc proposée dans la rainure sur un des côtés
de la partie inférieure.
•Si votre téléphone est large, insérez un des côté du téléphone d’abord, puis enfoncez légèrement l’autre
côté en place pour que les patins en mousse ne soient pas endommagés.
•Pour éviter au maximum les vibrations en utilisant le bras d’extension, faites reposer la base du support sur
votre tableau de bord.
•Si nécessaire, un jeu supplémentaire de patins en mousse pour le support est inclus.
Installation du récepteur GPS

•Pour installer votre récepteur GPS sur le tableau de bord de votre véhicule, , posez d’abord l’adhésif, le
Velcro ou le tampon en caoutchouc sur le bas du support, puis glissez le récepteur GPS sur l’autre côté
du support comme indiqué Figure (E). Une fois assemblé, fixez le récepteur GPS en posant l’adhésif ou le
VELCRO sur le bas du support de votre tableau de bord (ou si vous utilisez le patin en caoutchouc, placez-le
sur le tableau de bord).
•Pour installer votre récepteur GPS à la ceinture, insérez le récepteur GPS dans le support de l’agrafe de
ceinture en suivant les étapes comme indiqué Figure (F). Une fois le récepteur GPS dans le support du clip
de ceinture, utilisez le clip pour le placer sur votre ceinture.

Installation de l’application MOTONAV
Suivez ces étapes pour télécharger et installer l’application MOTONAV sur votre téléphone.
Important :
Vous devez vous abonner au plan de service de données (plan data) de l’opérateur de votre téléphone. Si
vous n’êtes pas abonné à un plan de données, contactez votre opérateur.
Avant de commencer cette procédure, vérifiez l’exactitude de l’heure et de la date sur votre téléphone.
Si vous avez une carte mémoire dans votre téléphone, retirez-la avant d’installer MOTONAV. Vos pouvez
réinsérer votre carte une fois l’installation de MOTONAV terminée.

Recherchez le formulaire d’activation dans le coffret.
Le formulaire contient un code d’activation à 20 caractères permettant d’activer et enregistrer votre
abonnement MOTONAV.
2 Sur votre téléphone, créez un nouveau SMS, tapez le code à 20 caractères et envoyez le SMS au numéro de
téléphone correspondant à votre pays et listé sur le formulaire.
Vous aurez un abonnement illimité de 12 mois à MOTONAV dans le pays sélectionné. Après quelques
minutes, vous recevrez deux messages texte de MOTONAV.

Ouvrez le message texte contenant les données d’ouverture de session MOTONAV.

Notez le nom d’utilisateur et le mot de passe, puis effacez le message texte (pour des raisons de sécurité).

Démarrage de Bluetooth sur le téléphone
Avant de configurer MOTONAV, assurez-vous que la fonction Bluetooth est activée sur votre téléphone. Pour
activer Bluetooth sur les téléphones Motorola :
1 Appuyez sur (Menu principal) > Réglages > Connexion (ou Connectivité) > Lien Bluetooth > Configuration.
2 Faites défiler jusqu’à Alimentation
3 Sélectionnez Modifier
4 Faites défiler jusqu’à Activé
5 Appuyez sur Sélectionner pour activer Bluetooth. L’option Bluetooth ne s’arrête que quand elle est
désactivée.
Remarque : ces étapes sont appropriées pour la plupart des téléphones Motorola. Pour les autres téléphones,
reportez-vous au Guide de l’utilisateur de votre téléphone.
Mise en marche du récepteur GPS
Pour commencer la configuration de l’application MOTONAV, il faut d’abord mettre le récepteur GPS Bluetooth
en marche. Pour ce faire, appuyez de manière prolongée sur le bouton de mise en marche jusqu’à ce que le
témoin d’état de la batterie s’allume. Après quelques instants, les témoins Bluetooth et GPS commencent à
clignoter.

- Si l’écran Assistant de configuration MOTONAV ne s’affiche pas, passez à l’étape 5 pour configurer
manuellement les paramètres.
4 Suivez les invites pour démarrer et exécuter l’assistant de configuration MOTONAV. Pendant l’affichage de
l’assistant de configuration :
Remarque : le récepteur GPS Bluetooth doit être activé pendant l’exécution de ces étapes.
- Saisissez/enregistrez le nom de l’utilisateur et le mot de passe MOTONAV (comme définis dans l’étape 4
de la rubrique « Installation de l’application MOTONAV »).
- Testez/vérifiez la connectivité avec le système MOTONAV.
- Effectuez le couplage/connexion avec le récepteur GPS (si un code Bluetooth est demandé, saisissez 0000).
- Téléchargez et installez les annonces vocales pour les instructions.
- Définissez les unités de mesure désirées.
Un message s’affiche pour signaler que l’installation est terminée. Cliquez sur Annuler pour afficher l’écran
principal MOTONAV (ou affichez les conseils MOTONAV).
5 Suivez les étapes pour configurer l’application MOTONAV :
Remarque : ces étapes ne doivent être exécutées que si l’assistant de configuration MOTONAV ne s’est pas
affiché et si la configuration n’est pas terminée (dans l’étape 4).
Remarque : le récepteur GPS Bluetooth doit être activé pendant l’exécution de ces étapes.
a Sélectionnez Options > Réglages > Identifiants pour saisir le nom d’utilisateur et le mot de passe (comme
spécifié dans l’étape 4 de la rubrique « Installation de l’application MOTONAV »).
b Sélectionnez Options > Réglages > Identifiants pour effectuer le couplage/connexion avec le récepteur GPS.

Essai et utilisation
MOTONAV est maintenant prêt à l’utilisation. Pour vérifier la configuration :
1 Activez le récepteur GPS et démarrez l’application MOTONAV (si elle n’est pas en fonction sur votre
téléphone).
2 Sélectionnez POI > Emplacement actuel (ou Choisir destination > POI > Emplacement actuel).

Sélectionnez une catégorie à rechercher et appuyez sur Recherche.
MOTONAV doit se connecter à votre récepteur GPS, obtenir votre position actuelle, se connecter au serveur
MOTONAV pour effectuer la recherche, puis présenter une liste des points correspondants les plus proches de
votre téléphone.
Une fois votre système de navigation configuré, vous n’avez plus à recommencer ces étapes.
Pour une utilisation journalière, assurez-vous que votre récepteur GPS est activé et que l’application MOTONAV
fonctionne sur votre téléphone.

Remarques sur le fonctionnement du système de navigation
•Le témoin Bluetooth sur le récepteur GPS clignote jusqu’à ce qu’il soit connecté avec votre téléphone. Une
connexion Bluetooth est établie uniquement quand un service nécessitant une position (comme une route,
une carte ou une recherche locale) est demandé par MOTONAV. En fonctionnement normal, la connexion
entre votre téléphone et le récepteur GPS n’est établie que si nécessaire (non continue), le témoin clignote
et reste allumé (ou s’éteint comme décrit ci-dessous).
•Le témoin GPS clignote jusqu’à ce que le récepteur GPS détecte les signaux satellite et puisse déterminer
votre position. En fonctionnement normal, le témoin reste allumé (ou s’éteint comme décrit ci-dessous).
•Pour éviter toute distraction, une fois que l’option Bluetooth est connectée et la position GPS trouvée, les
deux témoins d’état s’éteignent après 10 secondes. Appuyez sur le bouton de mise en marche pour allumer
momentanément les témoins et confirmer que l’appareil est activé.
•Pour conserver la charge de la batterie, le circuit GPS dans le récepteur GPS est désactivé s’il n’y a pas de
connexion Bluetooth pendant cinq minutes. Un changement dans l’état de la connexion Blutooth réactive le
circuit GPS.
•Pour conserver au maximum la charge de la batterie, le récepteur GPS est désactivé s’il n’y a pas de
connexion Bluetooth pendant 60 minutes. Un changement dans l’état de la connexion Bluetooth ou une
pression sur le bouton de mise en marche, remet le compteur de mise hors tension à zéro.
•Pour détecter les signaux satellite et déterminer la position, le récepteur GPS doit être à l’extérieur et
éloigné de tout obstacle.
•Pour la plupart des téléphones, il est impossible d’utiliser le récepteur GPS et un périphérique mains-libres
Bluetooth en même temps. Vous pouvez utiliser une oreillette filaire ou le haut-parleur du téléphone pour
prendre les appels.

•Dans MOTONAV, utilisez POI pour trouver des entreprises et des centres points d’intérêt près de votre
position actuelle ou de votre destination (ou d’une autre position). Sélectionnez la catégorie (par exemple,
Restaurant) et/ou saisissez un mot clé (par exemple, viande) pour le rechercher.
•Certains téléphones permettent une navigation en mode piéton. Pour utiliser cette option tout en marchant,
sélectionnez votre destination, puis sélectionnez Options > Réglages de route > Mode Piéton.
•Ouvrez le site Web MOTONAV (www.hellomoto.com/motonav) pour saisir les emplacements et gérer votre
compte MOTONAV. Utilisez votre nom d’utilisateur et mot de passe (comme indiqué dans l’étape 4 de la
rubrique « Installation de l’application MOTONAV »).
Certains téléphones permettent les alertes aux radars fixes. Pour obtenir ces avertissements tout en conduisant,
sélectionnez Accompagnateur sur MOTONAV et un signal vous sera transmis à l’approche d’un radar. Disponible
que dans certains pays seulement.
Utilisation de votre récepteur GPS
Marche/Arrêt
Pour mettre votre récepteur GPS en marche, appuyez de manière prolongée sur le bouton de mise en marche
jusqu’à ce que le témoin d’état de la batterie s’éclaire. Une fois en marche, les trois témoins s’allument l’un
après l’autre.
Pour arrêter votre récepteur GPS, appuyez de manière prolongée sur le bouton de mise en marche jusqu’à ce
que les trois témoins s’allument. Une fois arrêté, les trois témoins s’éteignent l’un après l’autre, puis le récepteur
GPS s’éteint.
Charge
Voir figure 3, page 2.
1 Ouvrez le clapet recouvrant le connecteur de charge. Branchez le chargeur de véhicule Motorola dans le
connecteur de charge.
2 Le témoin rouge ou orange s’allume quand la batterie est en charge. Si la charge de la batterie est très faible,
le témoin peut prendre un moment avant de s’allumer. Quand la batterie du récepteur GPS est complètement
chargée (environ 4 heures), le témoin vert s’allume.
3 Débranchez le chargeur (laisser le chargeur branché pendant une longue période peut réduire la durée de
vie de la batterie).
Remarque : le récepteur GPS fonctionne normalement pendant le chargement ; cependant le témoin d’état de la
batterie n’indiquera pas la charge complète (vert) quand il est en marche.

Anbringen des Mobiltelefons im Auto
Mit der im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Universalhalterung können Sie Ihr Mobiltelefon sicher im Auto befestigen.
Dafür gibt es drei verschiedene Varianten, die im Folgenden jeweils beschrieben und durch die obige Abbildung
verdeutlicht werden.
•Wenn Sie die Halterung mit Verlängerungsstück auf dem Armaturenbrett befestigen möchten, setzen Sie
die vier Stifte in die dafür vorgesehenen Öffnungen auf der Halterung ein, und schieben Sie die Halterung
zum Arretieren nach unten (s. Abb. (A)). Befestigen Sie nun die beiliegende Scheibe auf dem Armaturenbrett
bzw. auf der Mittelkonsole. Bringen Sie anschließend den Saugnapf des Verlängerungsstücks auf der
Scheibe an, indem Sie den Hebel herunterdrücken (s. Abb. (B)). Legen Sie das Mobiltelefon in die Halterung
ein, und schieben Sie die Seiten der Halterung zusammen. Um das Telefon wieder zu entnehmen, drücken
Sie den Knopf auf der linken Seite.
•Wenn Sie die Halterung mit Verlängerungsstück an der Frontscheibe befestigen möchten, setzen Sie die
vier Stifte in die dafür vorgesehenen Öffnungen auf der Halterung ein, und schieben Sie die Halterung zum
Arretieren nach unten (s. Abb. (A)). Befestigen Sie nun den am Verlängerungsstück angebrachten Saugnapf
an der Frontscheibe, indem Sie den Hebel nach unten drücken (s. Abb. (C)). Legen Sie das Mobiltelefon in die
Halterung ein, und schieben Sie die Seiten der Halterung zusammen. Um das Telefon wieder zu entnehmen,
drücken Sie den Knopf auf der linken Seite.
•Wenn Sie die Halterung ohne Verlängerungsstück auf dem Armaturenbrett befestigen möchten, fbringen Sie
die beiliegenden Klebe- bzw. Klettstreifen an der Halterung und an der gewünschten Stelle des Armaturenbretts
an (s. Abb. (D)). Drücken Sie dann die Halterung mit dem Klettband fest auf die betreffende Stelle auf dem
Armaturenbrett. Legen Sie das Mobiltelefon in die Halterung ein, und schieben Sie die Seiten der Halterung
zusammen. Um das Telefon wieder zu entnehmen, drücken Sie den Knopf auf der linken Seite.
Tipps zur Verwendung der Universalhalterung im Auto:
•Wenn die Seitenteile der Telefonhalterung die seitlichen Tasten an Ihrem Mobiltelefon verdecken, entfernen Sie die
L-förmigen Halteelemente, und stecken Sie diese in den Schlitz auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Halterung.
•Befestigen Sie die L-förmigen Elemente im Schlitz, indem Sie den beiliegenden Gummistreifen zu beiden Seiten der
Elemente einlegen.
•Wenn Ihr Telefon etwas breiter ist, legen Sie es erst mit nur einer Seite in die Halterung ein. Gehen Sie dann beim
Hineindrücken der anderen Seite vorsichtig vor, damit die Schaumstoffpolsterung nicht beschädigt wird.
•Bei Verwendung des Verlängerungsstücks können Sie Vibrationen minimieren, indem Sie die Unterseite der
Telefonhalterung auf dem Armaturenbrett aufliegen lassen.
•Bei Bedarf können Sie zur Dämpfung den zweiten, im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Satz Schaumstoffpolster

Anbringen des GPS-Empfängers
Der Bluetooth-GPS-Empfänger lässt sich sicher am Armaturenbrett Ihres Autos oder an Ihrem Gürtel
befestigen.*
•Wenn Sie den GPS-Empfänger am Armaturenbrett Ihres Autos anbringen möchten, , befestigen Sie
zunächst das Klebe-, Klett- oder Gummipolster auf der Rückseite der Halterung. Schieben Sie dann den
GPS-Empfänger wie in Abbildung (E) dargestellt ein. Danach befestigen Sie den GPS-Empfänger mit der
Klebe- bzw. Klettverbindung, die Sie zuvor auf der Halterung angebracht haben, auf dem Armaturenbrett.
(Falls Sie das Gummipolster verwendet haben, legen Sie die Halterung auf das Armaturenbrett.)
•Wenn Sie den GPS-Empfänger an Ihrem Gürtel anbringen möchten,schieben Sie ihn in die Gürtelhalterung.
Gehen Sie dazu wie in Abb. (F) gezeigt vor. Wenn der GPS-Empfänger in der Halterung sitzt, befestigen Sie
diese mithilfe des Clips an Ihrem Gürtel.

Installieren von MOTONAV
Folgen Sie dieser Anleitung, um die MOTONAV-Anwendung herunterzuladen und auf Ihrem Telefon zu
installieren.
Wichtig:
Sie müssen bei Ihrem Mobilfunkanbieter einen Vertrag mit Datendienst für Ihr Mobiltelefon haben. Falls dies
nicht der Fall ist, wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Mobilfunkanbieter.
Prüfen Sie vor Beginn der Installation, ob Datum und Zeit auf Ihrem Telefon richtig eingestellt sind.
Wenn Ihr Telefon über eine Speicherkarte verfügt, entnehmen Sie diese vor der Installation von MOTONAV.
Sie können die Speicherkarte wieder einlegen, wenn die Installation von MOTONAV abgeschlossen ist.

Nehmen Sie den Aktivierungsgutschein aus der Packung.
Auf dem Gutschein steht ein 20 stelliger Aktivierungscode, den Sie zum Aktivieren und Registrieren Ihres
MOTONAV-Abonnements benötigen.
2 Erstellen Sie auf Ihrem Telefon eine neue SMS und senden Sie damit den 20 stelligen Code vom
Aktivierungsgutschein an die Telefonnummer, die auf dem Gutschein für Ihr Land angegeben ist.
Mit dem Abonnement können Sie MOTONAV im gewählten Land 12 Monate lang ohne Einschränkungen
nutzen. Nach einigen Minuten erhalten Sie zwei Textnachrichten von MOTONAV.

Öffnen Sie die Textnachricht mit den Anmeldedaten für MOTONAV.
4Schreiben Sie Ihren Benutzernamen und Ihr Kennwort auf und löschen Sie dann die Textnachricht (aus

Einrichten des Navigationssystems
Einschalten der Bluetooth-Funktion des Mobiltelefons
Schalten Sie vor dem Einrichten von MOTONAV die Bluetooth-Funktion Ihres Mobiltelefons ein. So schalten Sie
die Bluetooth-Funktion bei Mobiltelefonen von Motorola ein:
1 Drücken Sie (Hauptmenü) > Einstellungen > Verbindungen > Bluetooth-Verbindung > Setup.
2 Blättern Sie zu Power

5 Drücken Sie Wählen, um die Bluetooth-Funktion einzuschalten. Die Bluetooth-Funktion bleibt aktiv, bis Sie

Einschalten des GPS-Empfängers

So konfigurieren Sie MOTONAV zur Verwendung mit Ihrem Navigationssystem:

- Wenn der Einrichtungsassistent von MOTONAV nicht angezeigt wird, überspringen Sie Schritt 4 und
fahren bei Schritt 5 mit dem manuellen Konfigurieren der Einstellungen fort.
4 Folgen Sie den Anweisungen zum Start und Ausführen des MOTONAV-Einrichtungsassistenten. Mit dem
Einrichtungsassistenten werden Sie:
Hinweis: Während der folgenden Schritte muss der Bluetooth-GPS-Empfänger eingeschaltet sein.
- den Benutzernamen und das Kennwort für MOTONAV eingeben und speichern (s. Schritt 4 des Abschnitts
„Installieren von MOTONAV“).
- die Verbindung zum MOTONAV-System prüfen.
- eine Verbindung zum GPS-Empfänger herstellen (eventuell werden Sie dazu aufgefordert, die BluetoothKennung einzugeben, diese lautet 0000).
- die Sprachansagen zur Navigation herunterladen und installieren.
- die gewünschten Maßeinheiten einstellen.
Wenn der Einrichtungsassistent abgeschlossen ist, wird eine entsprechende Meldung angezeigt. Klicken
Sie auf Abbrechen, um zum MOTONAV-Hauptbildschirm zurückzukehren (oder fahren Sie fort, um Tipps zu
MOTONAV anzuzeigen).
5 Gehen Sie wie folgt vor, um MOTONAV zu konfigurieren:
Hinweis: Diese Schritte müssen nur ausgeführt werden, wenn der MOTONAV-Einrichtungsassistent nicht

Test und Einsatz
MOTONAV ist nun einsatzbereit. So prüfen Sie, ob die Anwendung ordnungsgemäß konfiguriert ist:
1 Schalten Sie den GPS-Empfänger ein und starten Sie MOTONAV (falls die Anwendung noch nicht auf Ihrem
Mobiltelefon ausgeführt wird).
2 Wählen Sie Lokale Suche > Aktueller Standort (oder Ziel wählen > Lokale Suche > Aktueller Standort) .

Wählen Sie eine Suchkategorie und drücken Sie auf Suchen.
MOTONAV sollte sich nun mit Ihrem GPS-Empfänger verbinden, Ihre aktuelle Position bestimmen, sich zum
Ausführen der Suche mit dem MOTONAV-Server verbinden und Ihnen dann auf Ihrem Telefon eine Liste der
Treffer anzeigen.
Sie müssen diese Schritte nach erfolgreicher Installation Ihres Navigationssystems nur einmal ausführen.
Achten Sie beim täglichen Gebrauch darauf, dass Ihr GPS-Empfänger EINgeschaltet ist und MOTONAV auf Ihrem
Mobiltelefon ausgeführt wird.

Hinweise zum Verwenden des Navigationssystems
•Die Bluetooth-LED des GPS-Empfängers blinkt, bis eine Verbindung mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon hergestellt
ist. Eine Bluetooth-Verbindung wird nur hergestellt, wenn MOTONAV einen Dienst anfordert, für den
Standortinformationen benötigt werden (zum Beispiel Routensuche, Kartensuche oder Ortssuche).Da die
Verbindung zwischen Mobiltelefon und GPS-Empfänger nur bei Bedarf hergestellt wird und nicht ständig
besteht, kann die LED-Anzeige während des normalen Gebrauchs blinken, dauerhaft leuchten oder sich
abschalten (wie unten beschrieben).
•Die GPS-LED blinkt so lange, bis der GPS-Empfänger ein Satellitensignal empfängt und Ihre Position
bestimmen kann. Während des normalen Betriebs leuchtet die Anzeige dauerhaft (oder schaltet sich ab, wie
im Folgenden beschrieben).
•Damit Sie nicht abgelenkt werden, schalten sich beide LED-Anzeigen 10 Sekunden nach dem
Verbindungsaufbau mit Bluetooth und GPS ab. Wenn Sie überprüfen möchten, ob die Einheit aktiv ist,
drücken Sie die Einschalttaste, um die LED-Anzeigen kurz einzuschalten.
•Besteht länger als 5 Minuten keine Bluetooth-Verbindung, schaltet sich die Elektronik des GPS-Empfängers
ab, um den Akku zu schonen. Ändert sich der Status der Bluetooth-Verbindung, wird die GPS-Elektronik
wieder aktiviert.
•Auch der GPS-Empfänger schaltet sich ab, um den Akku zu schonen, wenn mehr als 60 Minuten keine
Bluetooth-Verbindung besteht. Die Zeitmessung bis zum Abschalten beginnt von neuem, sobald der Status
der Bluetooth-Verbindung sich ändert oder die Einschalttaste gedrückt wird.
•Zum Empfang von Satellitensignalen und zur Standortbestimmung sollte der GPS-Empfänger außerhalb von
Gebäuden und unter freiem Himmel verwendet werden.
•Bei den meisten Mobiltelefonen ist die gleichzeitige Verwendung von GPS-Empfänger und BluetoothFreisprechanlage nicht möglich. Sie können über kabelgebundene Kopfhörer oder über die
Lautsprecherfunktion des Telefons telefonieren.

•Mit Lokale Suche können Sie sich von MOTONAV Unternehmen und interessante Orte in der Nähe Ihres
Aufenthaltsorts, Ihres Ziels oder eines anderen Standortes anzeigen lassen. Wählen Sie eine Kategorie (zum
Beispiel Restaurant) und/oder geben Sie ein Suchwort (zum Beispiel „Steak“) ein.
•Einige Telefonmodelle unterstützen eine Routenplanung für Fußgänger. Um diese Option zu nutzen, wenn Sie zu
Fuß unterwegs sind, wählen Sie Ihr Ziel und dann Optionen > Routeneinstellungen > Fußgänger Modus .
•Melden Sie sich auf der MOTONAV-Website (www.hellomoto.com/motonav) an, um Standorte einzugeben
und Ihr MOTONAV-Benutzerkonto zu verwalten. Verwenden Sie dazu den Benutzernamen und das Kennwort
(s. Schritt 4 des Abschnitts „Installieren von MOTONAV“).
Einige Telefonmodelle unterstützen die Radarfallenwarnung. Um beim Fahren diese Funktion zu nutzen, wählen
Sie Fahrbegleiter in allen Ländern verfügbar.
Verwenden des GPS-Empfängers
Ein-/Ausschalten
Um den GPS-Empfänger einzuschalten, halten Sie die Einschalttaste gedrückt, bis die LED für den Ladestand
des Akkus aufleuchtet. Beim Einschalten leuchten alle drei LED-Anzeigen nacheinander auf.
Um den GPS-Empfänger auszuschalten, halten Sie die Einschalttaste gedrückt, bis alle drei LED-Anzeigen
leuchten. Beim Ausschalten schalten sich zuerst die drei LED-Anzeigen und dann der GPS-Empfänger
nacheinander ab.
Ladevorgang
Siehe Abbildung 3 auf Seite 2.
1 Öffnen Sie die Abdeckung über dem Ladeanschluss. Verbinden Sie das Autoladegerät von Motorola mit dem
Ladeanschluss.
2 Während des Ladevorgangs leuchtet die LED-Anzeige rot oder gelb. Ist die Akkuleistung sehr niedrig, kann
es einige Zeit dauern, bis die LED-Anzeige aufleuchtet. Wenn der GPS-Empfänger vollständig geladen ist
(Dauer: bis zu 4 Stunden), leuchtet die LED-Anzeige grün.
3 Trennen Sie das Ladegerät vom GPS-Empfänger. (Wenn das Ladegerät zu lange angeschlossen bleibt, kann
sich die Lebensdauer des Akkus verringern.)
Hinweis: Der GPS-Empfänger ist während des Ladevorgangs voll funktionsfähig, aber solange das Gerät
in Betrieb ist, wird die LED-Anzeige für den Ladestand keine vollständige Ladung anzeigen und nicht grün
leuchten.

prima l’adesivo incluso o strisce VELCRO® sia al supporto per telefono che sulla posizione desiderata sulla
parte anteriore del cruscotto come illustrato in (D). Quindi, attaccare saldamente il supporto per telefono
al cruscotto utilizzando le strisce VELCRO. Posizionare il telefono nel relativo supporto e premere i due lati
verso l’interno. Per estrarre il telefono dal supporto, premere il pulsante sul lato sinistro.
Suggerimenti per l’utilizzo del supporto universale per telefono cellualre per il fissaggio del telefono in auto:
•Se i lati del supporto per telefono bloccano i pulsanti sulle parti laterali del telefono, rimuovere i piedini a
forma di L e inserirlo nell’incavo sul lato opposto del supporto per telefono.
•Per fare in modo che i piedini a forma di L restino in posizione, inserire la striscia di gomma inclusa
nell’incavo su ciascun lato del piedino.
•Se il telefono è largo, inserire prima un lato del telefono, quindi spingere delicatamente in posizione l’altro
lato in modo che i cuscinetti di gomma non vengano danneggiati.
•Per ridurre al minimo la vibrazione quando si utilizza l’asta di estensione, collocare la base del supporto per
telefono sul cruscotto.
•Se necessario, nella confezione è incluso un set di cuscinetti di gomma aggiuntivi per il supporto per
telefono.
Fissaggio del ricevitore GPS
È possibile fissare il ricevitore GPS Bluetooth al cruscotto nell’auto o alla cintura*.
•Per fissare il ricevitore GPS al cruscotto nell’auto, applicare prima l’adesivo, VELCRO o un cuscinetto di
gomma sulla parte inferiore del supporto, quindi far scorrere il ricevitore GPS sul supporto sull’altro lato
come illustrato in (E). Una volta assemblato, fissare il ricevitore GPS applicando l’adesivo o VELCRO sulla
parte inferiore del supporto al cruscotto (o, se è stato utilizzato un cuscinetto di gomma, posizionarlo sul
cruscotto).
•Per fissare il ricevitore GPS alla cintura, inserire il ricevitore GPS nel supporto a clip per cintura seguendo i

Installazione di MOTONAV
Per scaricare e installare l’applicazione MOTONAV sul telefono, attenersi alla procedura seguente.
Importante:
È necessario essere abbonati al piano di servizio dati del proprio gestore di servizi di telefonia mobile per il
telefono. Se non si è abbonati a un piano dati, contattare il proprio gestore di servizi di telefonia mobile.
Prima di iniziare questa procedura, verificare che sul telefono siano impostate la data e l’ora corrette.
Se è inserita una scheda di memoria nel telefono, rimuoverla prima di installare MOTONAV. Quando
l’installazione di MOTONAV è completata, è possibile reinserire la scheda.

Utilizzare il tagliando di attivazione nella confezione.
Il tagliando contiene un codice di attivazione di 20 cifre per attivare e registrare l’abbonamento MOTONAV.
2 Sul telefono, creare un nuovo messaggio di testo (SMS), digitare il codice di 20 cifre presente sul tagliando di
attivazione e inviare il messaggio SMS al numero di telefono del proprio paese come elencato sul tagliando
di attivazione.
Verrà attivato l’abbonamento di 12 mesi per l’utilizzo di MOTONAV illimitato nel paese selezionato. Dopo
qualche minuto, si riceveranno due messaggi di testo da MOTONAV.

Avvio di Bluetooth su telefono
Prima di impostare MOTONAV, assicurarsi che la funzione Bluetooth sia attivata nel telefono. Per attivare la

Accensione del ricevitore GPS
TPer iniziare l’impostazione di MOTONAV, è necessario prima accendere il ricevitore GPS Bluetooth. Per
accendere il ricevitore GPS, premere e tenere premuto il pulsante di accensione finché l’indicatore dello stato
della batteria non si illumina. Dopo alcuni istanti, entrambi gli indicatori luminosi Bluetooth e GPS iniziano a

- Effettuare accoppiamento/collegamento con ricevitore GPS. Se viene richiesto il codice Bluetooth,
immettere 0000.
- Scaricare e installare annunci vocali per istruzioni guida.
- Impostare le unità di misura preferite.
Al termine dell’impostazione guidata, viene visualizzato un messaggio di completamento. Fare clic su
Cancella per visualizzare la schermata principale di MOTONAV (o procedere per visualizzare i suggerimenti
MOTONAV).

Note sul funzionamento del sistema di navigazione
•L’indicatore luminoso Bluetooth sul ricevitore GPS lampeggia finché non si collega al telefono. Un
collegamento Bluetooth viene stabilito solo quando MOTONAV richiede un servizio che ha bisogno della
posizione (ad esempio un itinerario, una cartina o una ricerca locale). Durante il funzionamento normale,
poiché il collegamento tra il telefono e il ricevitore GPS viene stabilito solo se necessario (non in modo
continuativo), l’indicatore luminoso passa da lampeggiamento a illuminazione fissa (o si spegne, come
descritto di seguito).
•L’indicatore luminoso GPS lampeggia finché il ricevitore GPS non si blocca su segnali satellitari e può
determinare la posizione. Durante il funzionamento normale, la luce dell’indicatore luminoso resta fissa (o si
spegne, come descritto di seguito).
•Per evitare distrazioni, una volta che Bluetooth è collegato e GPS è acquisito, entrambi gli indicatori di stato
si spengono dopo 10 secondi. Premere il pulsante di accensione per accendere momentaneamente gli
indicatori luminosi e confermare che l’unità è accesa.
•Per conservare la carica della batteria, il circuito GPS nel ricevitore GPS si spegne se non si verifica
collegamento Bluetooth per oltre cinque minuti. Una modifica nello stato di collegamento Bluetooth accende
nuovamente il circuito GPS.
•Per conservare ulteriormente la carica della batteria, il ricevitore GPS si spegne se non si verifica il
collegamento Bluetooth per oltre sessanta minuti. Una modifica dello stato del collegamento Bluetooth o
una pressione del pulsante di accensione azzera il timer di spegnimento.
•Per bloccarsi su segnali satellitari e determinare la posizione, il ricevitore GPS deve trovarsi al di fuori di
edifici con una chiara visibilità del cielo.
•Con la maggior parte dei telefoni, non sarà possibile utilizzare il ricevitore GPS e un dispositivo viva voce
Bluetooth contemporaneamente. Per ricevere telefonate, è possibile utilizzare un auricolare con cavo o il
viva voce.

•In MOTONAV, utilizzare Ricerca locale per trovare attività e punti di interesse vicino alla posizione corrente,
alla destinazione o a un’altra posizione. Selezionare la categoria (ad esempio, Ristorante) e/o immettere una
parola chiave (ad esempio, bistecca) da cercare.
•Alcuni modelli di telefono supportano gli itinerari pedonali. Per utilizzarlo quando si cammina, selezionare la
destinazione, quindi Opzioni > Impostazione dell’itinerario > Modo Pedone.

quindi il ricevitore GPS si spegne.

Aprire l’aletta che copre la presa di carica. Collegare il caricabatterie per auto Motorola alla presa di carica.
2 L’indicatore luminoso diventa rosso o giallo quando la batteria è in carica. Se la carica della batteria è
molto bassa, l’accensione dell’indicatore luminoso potrebbe richiedere del tempo. Quando la batteria del

Fijar el teléfono y el receptor GPS Bluetooth
Consulte la figura 1 de la página 1.
Fijar el teléfono en el vehículo
Puede fijar el teléfono de un modo seguro en el vehículo con el soporte de teléfono universal que se incluye con
el sistema de navegación. Con el soporte de teléfono universal, tendrá tres opciones para fijar el teléfono. Cada
una de las opciones se describe a continuación, junto con ilustraciones detalladas a la derecha.
•Para fijar el teléfono en el salpicadero con el soporte de teléfono y el brazo extensible, coloque primero
las cuatro patas en las ranuras del soporte y deslícelas hacia abajo para que encajen en su sitio, como se
muestra en la figura (A). A continuación, fije el disco circular suministrado en el salpicadero o en la consola
central y coloque la ventosa del brazo extensible en el disco (presione sobre la palanca) como se muestra en
la figura (B). Coloque el teléfono en el soporte y apriete en los laterales. Para retirar el teléfono del soporte,
presione el botón del lateral izquierdo.

Fijar el receptor GPS
Puede fijar de un modo seguro el receptor GPS Bluetooth en el salpicadero del vehículo o en el cinturón*.
•Para fijar el receptor GPS en el salpicadero del vehículo, coloque primero el adhesivo, el VELCRO o la pieza
de goma en la parte inferior del soporte y después, deslice el receptor GPS por el otro lado del soporte,
como se muestra en la figura (E). Una vez ensamblado, fije el receptor GPS colocando el adhesivo o el
VELCRO de la parte inferior del soporte en el salpicadero (o, si ha utilizado la pieza de goma, colóquela en el
salpicadero).
•Para fijar el receptor GPS en el cinturón, insértelo en el soporte de pinza del cinturón siguiendo los pasos
que se muestran en la figura (F). Una vez que el receptor GPS se haya introducido en dicho soporte, utilice
la pinza del cinturón para colocarlo en el cinturón.

Instalar MOTONAV
Siga estos pasos para descargar e instalar la aplicación MOTONAV en el teléfono.
Importante:
Su teléfono deberá estar suscrito a un plan de servicio de datos con su proveedor de servicios. Si no está
suscrito a ningún plan de datos, póngase en contacto con su proveedor de servicios.
Compruebe que se hayan configurado correctamente la fecha y la hora en el teléfono antes de iniciar el
proceso.
Si tiene una tarjeta de memoria en el teléfono, retírela antes de instalar MOTONAV. Podrá volver a insertar
la tarjeta cuando la instalación de MOTONAV haya finalizado.

Localice la tarjeta de activación en la caja.
Esta tarjeta contiene un código de activación de 20 dígitos que se utiliza para activar y registrar su
suscripción a MOTONAV.
2 En el teléfono, cree un nuevo mensaje de texto SMS (servicio de mensajes cortos), escriba el código de 20
dígitos de la tarjeta de activación y envíe el mensaje al número de teléfono correspondiente según la lista
de países que figura en la tarjeta de activación.
Estará suscrito durante 12 meses a un uso ilimitado de MOTONAV en el país seleccionado. Al cabo de unos
minutos, recibirá dos mensajes de texto de MOTONAV.

Iniciar Bluetooth en el teléfono
Antes de configurar MOTONAV, asegúrese de que la función Bluetooth está activada en el teléfono. Para activar
la función Bluetooth en los teléfonos Motorola:
1 Pulse (Menú principal) > Preferencias > Conexión (o Conectividad) > Bluetooth > Configurar.
2 Desplácese hasta Estado

En el teléfono, ejecute la aplicación MOTONAV.

Prueba y uso
MOTONAV ya está listo para empezar a utilizarse. Para comprobar que se haya configurado correctamente:

Encienda el receptor GPS e inicie MOTONAV (si no se está ejecutando ya en el teléfono).

Una vez que haya configurado correctamente el sistema de navegación, no tendrá que repetir estos pasos.
Para el uso cotidiano, asegúrese de que el receptor GPS se encuentra encendido (ON) y MOTONAV se está
ejecutando en el teléfono.

Notas sobre el funcionamiento del sistema de navegación
•El indicador luminoso de Bluetooth del receptor GPS parpadea hasta que se conecta al teléfono. La
conexión Bluetooth sólo se establece cuando MOTONAV solicita un servicio que requiere conocer la
posición (como una ruta, un mapa o una búsqueda local). Durante el funcionamiento normal, debido a que
la conexión entre el teléfono y el receptor GPS sólo se establece en caso necesario (no de forma continua),
el indicador luminoso pasará de parpadear a quedarse encendido (o se apagará, según se describe más
abajo).
•El indicador luminoso de GPS parpadeará hasta que el receptor GPS capte las señales del satélite y pueda
determinar su posición. Durante el funcionamiento normal, el indicador luminoso permanecerá encendido
(o se apagará, según se describe más abajo).
•Para evitar distracciones, una vez que se ha conectado la función Bluetooth y se ha detectado el GPS,
ambos indicadores de estado se apagarán al cabo de 10 segundos. Pulse el botón de encendido para
encender momentáneamente los indicadores luminosos y confirmar que la unidad se encuentra activada.
•Para ahorrar batería, los circuitos del receptor GPS se apagan si no se establece una conexión Bluetooth
durante más de cinco minutos. Si cambia el estado de la conexión Bluetooth, los circuitos del GPS volverán
a activarse.
•Para ahorrar más batería, el receptor GPS se apaga si no se establece una conexión Bluetooth durante
más de 60 minutos. Si cambia el estado de la conexión Bluetooth o se pulsa el botón de encendido, se
restablecerá el temporizador de apagado.
•Para captar las señales del satélite y determinar la posición, el receptor GPS deberá situarse en un lugar
exterior, con una clara visión del cielo.
•Con la mayoría de los teléfonos, no podrá utilizar el receptor GPS y un dispositivo manos libres Bluetooth al
mismo tiempo. Podrá utilizar un auricular cableado o el micrófono para recibir o realizar llamadas

•En MOTONAV, utilice Búsqueda local para localizar establecimientos o puntos de interés que se encuentren
cerca de su ubicación actual o su destino (u otra ubicación). Seleccione la categoría (por ejemplo,
Restaurante) y/o introduzca una palabra clave (por ejemplo, carne) para realizar la búsqueda.
•Algunos modelos de teléfono admiten rutas peatonales. Para utilizar el dispositivo mientras camina,
seleccione el destino que desee y, a continuación, Opciones > Preferencias de ruta > Modo Peatón
Pedestrian Mode.
•Conéctese al sitio Web de MOTONAV (www.hellomoto.com/motonav) para introducir las ubicaciones y

1 Abra la tapa que cubre el conector de carga. Conecte el cargador para vehículo de Motorola en el conector
de carga.
2 El indicador luminoso se encenderá en rojo o en ámbar cuando la batería se esté cargando. Si la batería
tiene muy poca carga, el indicador luminoso puede tardar un tiempo en encenderse. Cuando la batería
del receptor GPS se haya cargado por completo (hasta 4 horas de duración), el indicador luminoso se
encenderá en verde.
3 Desconecte el cargador. (Si se deja el cargador conectado durante mucho tiempo, podría reducirse la vida
útil de la batería.)

De gebruiker moet verder rekening houden met situaties waarin de actuele verkeersomstandigheden en de
instructies van het navigatiesysteem elkaar tegenspreken.
Het gebruik van het navigatiesysteem ontslaat de gebruiker niet van de eigen verantwoordelijkheden. De
gebruiker is uiteindelijk verantwoordelijk voor het voertuig dat hij bestuurt en hij dient zich te allen tijde bewust
te zijn van zijn omgeving. Voor de verkeersveiligheid is het het beste als de route wordt gepland in een stilstaand

Privacy: Voor de werking van bepaalde functies van het MOTONAV-navigatiesysteem moet de positie van de
gebruiker worden verzonden naar een centrale server. De server wordt bediend door Jentro Technologies
GmbH, een door Motorola goedgekeurde serviceprovider (www.jentro.com). Deze gegevens worden alleen

Telefoon en Bluetooth GPS-ontvanger bevestigen

Telefoon in auto bevestigen
U kunt de telefoon veilig in uw auto bevestigen met de universele telefoonhouder die onderdeel uitmaakt van
uw navigatiesysteem. Met de universele telefoonhouder beschikt u over drie opties voor het bevestigen van
uw telefoon. Elke optie wordt hieronder beschreven aan de hand van de gedetailleerde illustraties rechts van
de tekst.
•Voor het bevestigen van uw telefoon op het dashboard met de telefoonhouder en de verlengsteun plaatst u
eerst de vier pootjes in de sleuven op de houder en schuift u deze naar beneden zoals wordt weergegeven
bij (A). Vervolgens bevestigt u de meegeleverde ronde schijf op het dashboard of de middenconsole en
plaatst u het zuignapje op de verlengsteun op de schijf en drukt u de hendel naar beneden. Zie (B). Plaats de
telefoon in de houder en druk de zijkanten naar binnen. Als u de telefoon uit de houder wilt halen, drukt u op
de knop aan de linkerkant.
•Voor het bevestigen van uw telefoon op de voorruit met de telefoonhouder en de verlengsteun plaatst u
eerst de vier pootjes in de sleuven op de houder en schuift u deze naar beneden zoals wordt weergegeven
bij (A). Vervolgens bevestigt u het zuignapje op de verlengsteun op de voorruit en drukt u de hendel naar
beneden. Zie (C). Plaats de telefoon in de houder en druk de zijkanten naar binnen. Als u de telefoon uit de
houder wilt halen, drukt u op de knop aan de linkerkant.
•Voor het bevestigen van de telefoon op de voorzijde van het dashboard met alleen de telefoonhouder
bevestigt u eerst het meegeleverde klevende of klittenband op de telefoonhouder en op de gewenste plek
op het dashboard zoals u ziet bij (D). Vervolgens drukt u de telefoonhouder stevig op het dashboard met het
klittenband. Plaats de telefoon in de houder en druk de zijkanten naar binnen. Als u de telefoon uit de houder
wilt halen, drukt u op de knop aan de linkerkant.
Tips voor het gebruiken van de universele telefoonhouder om de telefoon in de auto te bevestigen:
•Als knoppen op de zijkant van de telefoon worden geblokkeerd door de zijkanten van de telefoonhouder,
verwijdert u de L–vormige poten en plaatst u deze in de groef aan de andere kant van de telefoonhouder.
•Om de L–vormige poten op hun plaats te houden plaatst u de meegeleverde rubberen strip in de groef aan
beide zijden van de poten.
•Als de telefoon te breed is, plaatst u eerst de ene zijkant van de telefoon en drukt u vervolgens voorzichtig
de andere kant op zijn plaats zodat de schuimrubber kussentjes niet worden beschadigd.
•Laat de onderkant van de telefoonhouder op het dashboard rusten om te voorkomen dat de verlengsteun
teveel gaat trillen.
•Indien nodig is er een extra set schuimrubber kussentjes beschikbaar voor de telefoonhouder.
GPS-ontvanger bevestigen
U kunt de Bluetooth GPS-ontvanger veilig bevestigen op het dashboard in uw auto of op uw gordel*.
•Voor het bevestigen van de GPS-ontvanger op het dashboard van de auto plaatst u eerst het klevende band,

•Voor het bevestigen van de GPS-ontvanger op de gordel plaatst u de GPS-ontvanger in de gordelklemhouder
door de genummerde stappen bij (F) te volgen. Als de GPS-ontvanger in de gordelklemhouder is geplaatst,
kunt u de klem op uw gordel bevestigen.

MOTONAV installeren
Voer de onderstaande instructies uit om de MOTONAV-toepassing op de telefoon te downloaden en te installeren.
Belangrijk:
U moet voor uw telefoon een abonnement op een gegevensservice van uw serviceprovider hebben. Als u
geen abonnement hebt, neemt u contact op met de serviceprovider.
Controleer of de juiste datum en tijd op de telefoon zijn ingesteld voordat u deze procedure start.
Als u beschikt over een geheugenkaart in de telefoon, verwijdert u deze voordat u MOTONAV installeert.
Plaats de kaart terug nadat u MOTONAV hebt geïnstalleerd.

Zoek de activeringsvoucher in de doos.
De voucher bevat een 20-cijferige activeringscode waarmee u uw MOTONAV-abonnement kunt activeren
en registreren.
2 Maak op de telefoon een nieuw SMS-bericht, typ de 20-cijferige code van de activeringsvoucher, en verzend
het SMS-bericht naar het telefoonnummer dat voor uw land wordt vermeld op de activeringsvoucher.
U hebt nu voor nu 12 maanden een onbeperkt abonnement op MOTONAV in het geselecteerde land. Na een
paar minuten ontvangt u twee SMS-berichten van MOTONAV.

Open het SMS-bericht met de aanmeldgegevens voor MOTONAV.

Noteer de gebruikersnaam en het wachtwoord en verwijder het SMS-bericht (vanwege veiligheidsredenen).

Navigatiesysteem instellen
Bluetooth op de telefoon starten
Controleer voordat u MOTONAV instelt of de Bluetooth-functie is ingeschakeld op de telefoon. Bluetooth
inschakelen op Motorola-telefoons:
1 Druk op (Hoofdmenu) > Instellingen > Verbinding (of Connectiviteit) > Bluetooth koppeling > Setup.
2 Ga naar Bluetooth
3 Selecteer Wijzigen
4 Ga naar Aan
5 Druk op Kiezen om de Bluetooth-functie in te schakelen. De Bluetooth-functie blijft ingeschakeld totdat u deze
uitschakelt

GPS-ontvanger inschakelen
Voordat u MOTONAV kunt instellen moet u eerst de Bluetooth GPS-ontvanger inschakelen. Als u de GPSontvanger wilt inschakelen, houdt u de aan/uit-knop ingedrukt tot het lampje voor de batterijstatus gaat branden.
Na een paar seconden gaan de lampjes voor de GPS- en de Bluetooth-indicatoren knipperen.

Start MOTONAV op de telefoon.
Voer de juiste stappen uit om MOTONAV op uw telefoon te starten:
- Druk op Motorola-telefoons op (Hoofdmenu) > Spelen & Toepassingen.
- Selecteer op Nokia-telefoons Menu > Applications, Menu > My Own, of ga naar de submappen.
- Op Sony Ericsson-telefoons gaat u naar de locatie die tijdens de installatie is opgegeven.

Configureer de MOTONAV-toepassing:
- Als een scherm met de MOTONAV Setup Wizard wordt weergegeven, gaat u naar stap 4 en volgt u de
instructies om de MOTONAV Setup Wizard te starten en uit te voeren.
- Als de MOTONAV Setup Wizard niet verschijnt, gaat u naar stap 5 om de instellingen handmatig te
configureren.
4 Volg de instructies om de MOTONAV Setup Wizard te starten en uit te voeren. Doe het volgende in de Setup
Wizard:
Opmerking: de Bluetooth GPS-ontvanger moet zijn ingeschakeld tijdens het uitvoeren van deze stappen.
- MOTONAV-gebruikersnaam en wachtwoord invoeren/opslaan (zie stap 4 van “MOTONAV installeren”).
- Verbinding met het MOTONAV-systeem testen/controleren.
- Koppelen/verbinden met de GPS-ontvanger. (Typ 0000 als u wordt gevraagd naar de Bluetooth-code).
- Gesproken instructies voor richtingaanwijzingen downloaden en installeren.
- Gewenste maateenheden instellen.
Er verschijnt een voltooiingsbericht als de Setup Wizard gereed is. Klik op Annuleren om het MOTONAVhoofdscherm te openen (of verder te gaan met het weergeven van MOTONAV-tips).
5 Voer de volgende stappen uit om MOTONAV te configureren:
Opmerking: voer deze stappen alleen uit als de MOTONAV Setup Wizard niet wordt weergegeven of niet kan
worden voltooid (in stap 4).
Opmerking: de Bluetooth GPS-ontvanger moet zijn ingeschakeld tijdens het uitvoeren van deze stappen.

Testen en gebruiken
MOTONAV is nu klaar voor gebruik. Controleer of de configuratie correct is:

Schakel de GPS-ontvanger in en start MOTONAV (indien nog niet actief op de telefoon).
2 Selecteer Locaal zoeken > Actuele locatie (of Bestemming kiezen > Locaal zoeken > Actuele locatie).

Selecteer een categorie om te doorzoeken en druk op Zoeken.
MOTONAV moet verbinding maken met de GPS-ontvanger, uw huidige positie bepalen, een verbinding maken
met de MOTONAV-server om te zoeken en vervolgens een lijst met de dichtstbijzijnde treffers op uw telefoon
weergeven.
Als het navigatiesysteem eenmaal is ingesteld, hoeft u deze stappen niet te herhalen.
Voor dagelijks gebruik controleert u of de GPS-ontvanger is ingeschakeld en of MOTONAV op de telefoon actief is.

Opmerkingen over de werking van het navigatiesysteem
•De Bluetooth-indicator op de GPS-ontvanger knippert totdat er een verbinding met de telefoon is. Er wordt
alleen een Bluetooth-verbinding tot stand gebracht wanneer een service waarvoor een positie nodig is
(zoals een route, een kaart of een lokale zoekopdracht) wordt aangevraagd door MOTONAV. Bij een normale
werking, dus als de verbinding tussen de telefoon en de GPS-ontvanger alleen tot stand wordt gebracht
indien nodig (niet continu), wisselt het indicatorlampje af tussen knipperen en continu branden (of gaat uit
zoals hieronder beschreven).
•De GPS-indicator knippert totdat de GPS-ontvanger de satellietsignalen opvangt en uw positie kan bepalen.
Bij een normale werking brandt het lampje continu (of gaat uit zoals hieronder beschreven).
•Om verwarring te voorkomen gaan beide statuslampjes na 10 seconden uit als de Bluetooth-verbinding tot
stand is gebracht en GPS is gevonden. Druk op de aan/uit-knop om de indicatorlampjes kort te activeren en
te bevestigen dat het apparaat is ingeschakeld.
•Om batterijvoeding te sparen gaat het GPS-schakelschema in de GPS-ontvanger uit als er gedurende meer
dan vijf minuten geen Bluetooth-verbinding is. Bij een wijziging in de Bluetooth-verbindingsstatus wordt het
GPS-schakelschema weer geactiveerd.
•Om nog meer batterijvoeding te sparen gaat de GPS-ontvanger uit als er gedurende meer dan 60 minuten
geen Bluetooth-verbinding is. Bij een wijziging in de status van de Bluetooth-verbinding of als u op de aan/
uit-knop drukt, wordt de uitschakeltimer weer op nul gezet.
•De GPS-ontvanger moet zich buitenshuis bevinden met duidelijk zicht op de hemel om de satellietsignalen te
kunnen ontvangen en uw positie te kunnen bepalen.
•Met de meeste telefoons zult u niet tegelijkertijd de GPS-ontvanger en een handsfree Bluetooth-apparaat
kunnen gebruiken. Gebruik een vaste headset of de luidspreker om de gesprekken te beantwoorden.

•Gebruik in MOTONAV Locaal zoeken om bedrijven en interessante plaatsen te vinden in de buurt van uw
huidige locatie of uw bestemming (of een andere locatie). Selecteer de categorie (bijvoorbeeld Restaurant)
en/of typ een trefwoord (bijvoorbeeld Steak) waarnaar u wilt zoeken.
•Sommige telefoonmodellen ondersteunen ook voetgangerroutes. Als u hiervan gebruik wilt maken tijdens
het wandelen, selecteert u uw bestemming en selecteert u Opties > Route-instellingen > Voetganger
Modus.
•Meld u aan bij de MOTONAV-website (www.hellomoto.com/motonav) als u locaties wilt invoeren en uw
MOTONAV-account wilt beheren. Voer uw gebruikersnaam en wachtwoord in (zie stap 4 van “MOTONAV
installeren”).
Sommige telefoonmodellen ondersteunen ook reiswaarschuwingen. Als u hiervan tijdens het rijden gebruik wilt
maken, selecteert u Rijbegeleider in MOTONAV. Vervolgens wordt u gewaarschuwd als u in de buurt komt van
een flitspaal. Niet in alle landen beschikbaar.
De GPS-ontvanger gebruiken
In-/uitschakelen
Als u de GPS-ontvanger wilt inschakelen, houdt u de aan/uit-knop ingedrukt tot het lampje voor de batterijstatus
gaat branden. Bij het inschakelen gaan de drie indicatorlampjes achtereenvolgens branden.
Als u de GPS-ontvanger wilt uitschakelen, houdt u de aan/uit-knop ingedrukt tot de drie lampjes gaan branden.
Bij het uitschakelen gaan de drie lampjes achtereenvolgens uit en wordt vervolgens de GPS-ontvanger
uitgeschakeld.
Opladen
Zie afbeelding 3 op pagina 2.
1 Open de klep waaronder de oplaadconnector zich bevindt. Sluit de Motorola-autolader aan op de
oplaadconnector.
2 Het indicatorlampje gaat rood of oranje branden als de batterij wordt opgeladen. Als de batterij bijna leeg is,
kan het even duren voordat het lampje gaat branden. Wanneer de batterij van de GPS-ontvanger helemaal
is opgeladen (maximaal 4 uur), gaat het indicatorlampje groen branden.
3 Haal de lader los. (Als u de lader langere tijd aangesloten laat, kan dat de levensduur van de batterij
verkorten.)
Opmerking: de GPS-ontvanger zal normaal werken tijdens het opladen. De indicator voor de batterijstatus zal
echter niet volledig geladen (groen) aangeven, wanneer de ontvanger is ingeschakeld.

Fixar o telefone e o receptor GPS Bluetooth

Fixar o telefone no carro
Pode fixar o telefone no carro em segurança utilizando o suporte de telefone universal fornecido com o sistema
de navegação. Com o suporte de telefone universal, terá três opções para fixar o telefone. Cada uma das opções
é descrita em seguida, juntamente com as ilustrações detalhadas no lado direito.
•Para fixar o telefone no tablier utilizando o suporte do telefone e o braço de extensão, coloque em primeiro
lugar os quatro pinos nas ranhuras do suporte e deslize-os para baixo para que sejam bloqueados na
sua posição conforme apresentado em (A). Em seguida, prenda o disco circular fornecido ao tablier ou à
consola central e fixe a ventosa do braço de extensão no disco (empurre a alavanca para baixo) conforme
apresentado em (B). Coloque o telefone no suporte de telefone e comprima as partes laterais. Para libertar
o telefone do suporte, prima o botão no lado esquerdo.
•Para fixar o telefone no pára-brisas utilizando o suporte do telefone e o braço de extensão, coloque em
primeiro lugar os quatro pinos nas ranhuras do suporte e deslize-os para baixo para que sejam bloqueados
na sua posição conforme apresentado em (A). Em seguida, fixe a ventosa do braço de extensão no párabrisas (empurre a alavanca para baixo) conforme apresentado em (C). Coloque o telefone no suporte
de telefone e comprima as partes laterais. Para libertar o telefone do suporte, prima o botão no lado
esquerdo.
•Para fixar o telefone à parte da frente do tablier utilizando apenas o suporte de telefone, f, cole em primeiro
lugar as tiras adesivas ou de VELCRO® fornecidas no suporte de telefone e no local pretendido na parte da
frente do tablier conforme apresentado em (D). Em seguida, fixe firmemente o suporte de telefone no tablier
utilizando tiras de VELCRO. Coloque o telefone no suporte de telefone e comprima as partes laterais. Para
libertar o telefone do suporte, prima o botão no lado esquerdo.
Dicas para utilizar o suporte de telefone universal para fixar o telefone no carro:
•Se as partes laterais do suporte de telefone obstruírem os botões laterais do telefone, retire os pinos em
forma de L e insira-os na ranhura do lado contrário do suporte de telefone.
•Para ajudar a manter os pinos em forma de L no seu lugar, insira a tira de borracha fornecida na ranhura num
dos lados dos pés.
•Se o telefone for largo, insira em primeiro lugar um dos lados do telefone e, em seguida, encaixe o outro lado
com cuidado no seu lugar para que as espumas não sejam danificadas.
•Para minimizar a vibração ao utilizar o braço de extensão, assente a base do suporte de telefone no tablier.
•Encontra-se incluído no conjunto do suporte do telefone um conjunto adicional de espumas, caso sejam
necessárias.
Fixar o receptor GPS
Pode fixar o receptor GPS Bluetooth em segurança no tablier do carro ou no cinto*.
•Para fixar o receptor GPS no tablier do carro, fcole em primeiro lugar o apoio adesivo, de VELCRO ou de
borracha à parte inferior do suporte e, em seguida, deslize o receptor GPS para o outro lado conforme
apresentado em (E). Depois de montado, fixe o receptor GPS colando o adesivo ou VELCRO da parte inferior
do suporte no tablier (ou, se tiver utilizado o apoio de borracha, coloque-o no tablier).
•Para fixar o receptor GPS no cinto, insira o receptor GPS no suporte da mola de cinto seguindo os passos
numerados conforme apresentado em (F). Depois de o receptor GPS se encontrar dentro do suporte da mola
de cinto, utilize a mola de cinto para o colocar no cinto.

Instalar o MOTONAV

Se o telefone tiver um cartão de memória, remova-o antes de instalar o MOTONAV. Pode inserir novamente
o cartão quando a instalação do MOTONAV estiver concluída.

Procure o vale de activação na caixa.
O vale contém um código de activação de 20 algarismos utilizado para activar e registar a sua subscrição
do MOTONAV.
2 No telefone, crie uma nova mensagem escrita (SMS), escreva o código de 20 algarismos do vale de
activação e envie a mensagem para o número de telefone do seu país conforme apresentado no vale de
activação.
Ao fazê-lo, subscreverá 12 meses de utilização ilimitada do MOTONAV no país seleccionado. Após alguns
minutos, deverá receber duas mensagens de texto do MOTONAV.

Abra a mensagem de texto que contém os dados de início de sessão do MOTONAV.
4Anote o nome de utilizador e a palavra-passe e, em seguida, elimine a mensagem de texto (por motivos de
segurança).
Abra a mensagem de texto que contém uma hiperligação de transferência.

Se não tiver recebido uma mensagem de texto com a hiperligação de transferência, abra o web browser
do telefone e vá a get.motonav.net para aceder à página de Transferência do MOTONAV. Avance para o

6Seleccione/abra a hiperligação na mensagem de texto para abrir o web browser e visualizar a página de
Transferência do MOTONAV.
Utilize as seguintes dicas para abrir a hiperligação de transferência:
• Para abrir a hiperligação em telefones Motorola, seleccione Options > Go To ou prima a tecla central e
seleccione Go To.
• Para abrir a hiperligação em telefones Nokia, prima o centro da tecla de Navegação ou utilize o menu
Options e, em seguida, Use detail ou Find.
• Para abrir a hiperligação em telefones Sony Ericsson, seleccione Open.
Depois de abrir a hiperligação, é apresentada uma página de Transferência do MOTONAV no web browser
conforme abaixo apresentado:

Configurar o sistema de navegação
Ligar o Bluetooth no telefone
Antes de configurar o MOTONAV, certifique-se de que a funcionalidade Bluetooth está activada no telefone. Para
ligar o Bluetooth em telefones Motorola:
1 Prima (Main Menu) > Settings > Connection (or Connectivity) > Bluetooth Link > Setup.
2 Desloque-se para Power
3 Seleccione Change
4 Desloque-se para On
5 Prima Select para ligar a funcionalidade Bluetooth. A funcionalidade Bluetooth permanecerá ligada até a
desligar
Nota: Estes passos destinam-se à maioria dos telefones Motorola. Para todos os restantes telefones, consulte
o manual do utilizador do telefone
Ligar o receptor GPS
Para iniciar a configuração do MOTONAV, deverá ligar em primeiro lugar o receptor GPS Bluetooth. Para ligar
o receptor GPS, mantenha premido o botão Ligar/Desligar até o indicador de Estado da Bateria acender. Após
alguns momentos, as luzes indicadoras do GPS e do Bluetooth começarão a piscar.

1 Se utilizar um telefone Nokia da série 40 (5200, 5300, 6111, 6211, 6230i, 6233, 6234, 6280 e outros), efectue as
seguintes operações:

Configurar a aplicação MOTONAV:
- Se for apresentado um ecrã de Assistente de Configuração do MOTONAV, avance para o passo 4 e siga

para configurar manualmente as definições.
4 Siga as instruções para iniciar e executar o Assistente de Configuração do MOTONAV. Este assistente de
configuração servirá para:
Nota: Certifique-se de que o receptor GPS Bluetooth está ligado enquanto efectua estas operações.
- Introduzir/guardar o nome de utilizador e palavra-passe do MOTONAV (conforme definido no passo 4 de
“Instalar o MOTONAV”).
- Testar/verificar a conectividade com o sistema MOTONAV.
- Emparelhar/ligar ao receptor GPS. (Se for solicitado um código Bluetooth, introduza 0000).
- Transferir e instalar avisos de voz para as instruções de orientação.
- Definir as unidades de medição preferidas.
É apresentada uma mensagem de conclusão quando o assistente de configuração estiver concluído.
Clique em Cancel para visualizar o ecrã principal do MOTONAV (ou avance para visualizar as dicas do
MOTONAV).
5 Siga estes passos para configurar o MOTONAV:
Nota: Apenas é necessário efectuar estes passos se o Assistente de Configuração do MOTONAV não tiver
sido apresentado e concluído (no passo 4).
Nota: Certifique-se de que o receptor GPS Bluetooth está ligado enquanto efectua estas operações.
a Seleccione Options > Settings > Login para introduzir o nome de utilizador e palavra-passe (conforme
especificado no passo 4 de “Instalar o MOTONAV”).
b Seleccione Options > Settings > GPS para emparelhar/ligar ao receptor GPS.
c Seleccione Options > Settings > Voice announcements > Available downloads > Standard para transferir

Testar e utilizar
O MOTONAV está neste momento pronto para ser utilizado. Para verificar a correcta configuração:

Ligue o receptor GPS e inicie o MOTONAV (se ainda não estiver a ser executado no telefone).
2 Seleccione Local search > Current Location (ou Select Destination > Local search > Current Location).

Seleccione uma categoria para procurar e prima Search.
O MOTONAV deverá ligar-se ao receptor GPS, obter a sua posição actual, ligar-se ao servidor MOTONAV para
efectuar a procura e, em seguida, apresentar uma lista das correspondências mais próximas no telefone.
Após ter configurado o sistema de navegação com sucesso, não será necessário repetir estes passos.
Para uma utilização diária, certifique-se de que o receptor GPS está LIGADO e que o MOTONAV está a ser
executado no telefone.

Notas sobre o funcionamento do sistema de navegação
•A luz indicadora do Bluetooth no receptor do GPS piscará até estar ligado ao telefone. Uma ligação
Bluetooth apenas é estabelecida se um serviço que necessite de posição (como, por exemplo, um percurso,
um mapa ou uma procura local) for solicitado pelo MOTONAV. Durante o funcionamento normal, uma
vez que a ligação entre o telefone e o receptor GPS apenas é estabelecida quando é necessária (não é
contínua), a luz indicadora alterna entre o estado cintilante e continuamente acesa (ou desliga-se, conforme
abaixo descrito).
•A luz indicadora do GPS piscará até o receptor GPS conseguir aceder aos sinais dos satélites e poder
determinar a sua posição. Durante o funcionamento normal, a luz indicadora permanece continuamente
acesa (ou desliga-se, conforme abaixo descrito).
•Para evitar distracções, assim que o Bluetooth estiver ligado e o GPS for adquirido, ambas as luzes de
estado desligar-se-ão após 10 segundos. Prima o botão Ligar/Desligar para ligar momentaneamente as
luzes indicadoras e confirmar que a unidade está ligada.
•Para conservar a bateria, os circuitos do GPS do receptor GPS desligam-se se não houver uma ligação
Bluetooth durante mais de cinco minutos. Uma alteração do estado da ligação Bluetooth liga novamente os
circuitos do GPS.
•Para uma maior poupança da bateria, o receptor GPS desligar-se-á se não houver uma ligação Bluetooth
durante mais de 60 minutos. Se o estado da ligação Bluetooth for alterado ou se premir o botão Ligar/
Desligar, o temporizador de desactivação será reinicializado.
•Para aceder aos sinais dos satélites e determinar a posição, o receptor GPS deverá estar no exterior dos
edifícios, com uma vista desimpedida do céu.
•No caso da maioria dos telefones, não será possível utilizar simultaneamente o receptor GPS e um
dispositivo mãos-livres Bluetooth. É possível utilizar um auricular com fios ou o alta-voz para receber
chamadas.

•No MOTONAV, utilize Local Search para encontrar estabelecimentos e pontos de interesse próximos da
localização actual ou do seu destino (ou de outro local). Seleccione a categoria (por exemplo, Restaurante)
e/ou introduza uma palavra-chave (por exemplo, bife) a procurar.
•Alguns telefones suportam percursos pedestres. Para utilizar esta funcionalidade ao andar a pé, seleccione
um destino e, em seguida, seleccione Options > Route Settings > Activate Pedestrian Mode.
•Inicie sessão no site MOTONAV (www.hellomoto.com/motonav) para introduzir locais e gerir a sua conta
MOTONAV. Utilize o seu nome de utilizador e palavra-passe (conforme definido no passo 4 de “Instalar o
MOTONAV”).
Alguns telefones suportam Alertas de Viagem. Para utilizar esta funcionalidade durante a viagem, seleccione
Travel Alerts no MOTONAV para ser alertado no caso de um radar de velocidade se encontrar nas proximidades.
Esta funcionalidade não está disponível em todos os países.
Utilizar o receptor GPS
Ligar e desligar
Para ligar o receptor GPS, mantenha premido o botão Ligar/Desligar até a luz indicadora de Estado da Bateria
acender. Ao ligar, as três luzes indicadoras acendem-se de forma sucessiva.
Para desligar o receptor GPS, mantenha premido o botão Ligar/Desligar até as três luzes indicadoras
acenderem. Ao desligar, as três luzes indicadoras são desligadas de forma sucessiva e, em seguida, o receptor
GPS é desligado.
Carregar
Veja a figura 3 na página 2.
1 Abra a aba que cobre a ficha para o carregador. Introduza o carregador para o carro Motorola na ficha para
o carregador.
2 A luz indicadora fica vermelha ou âmbar quando a bateria está a ser carregada. Se a carga da bateria for
muito reduzida, poderá demorar algum tempo até que a luz indicadora se acenda. Quando a bateria do
receptor GPS estiver totalmente carregada (4 horas, no máximo), a luz indicadora ficará verde.
3 Desligue o carregador. (Deixar o carregador ligado durante um longo período de tempo poderá reduzir a vida
útil da bateria.)
Nota: O receptor GPS funcionará normalmente enquanto estiver a ser carregado; contudo, a luz indicadora do
estado da bateria não indicará a carga total (verde) se estiver ligado.
