PRIX SOFIA KOVALÉVSKAIA 2010
Dans le but d’accroître la participation des femmes à la recherche mathématique au
Mexique, la Société mexicaine de mathématiques et la Fondation Sofía Kovalévskaia
décerneront le « Prix Sofía Kovalévskaia 2010 » à huit femmes mexicaines méritoires
ayant obtenu un Ph.D. en mathématiques au cours des cinq dernières années. Nous
sommes très heureux d’annoncer que Angélica Salazar Aguilar, une stagiaire
postdoctorale à HEC Montréal et au CIRRELT, sous la direction d’André Langevin et
Gilbert Laporte, est l’une des récipiendaires de la compétition de cette année. Le prix
lui sera remis le 3 novembre 2010 lors de la cérémonie inaugurale du XLIIIe Congrès
national de la Société mexicaine de mathématiques à Chiapas au Mexique.

SOFIA KOVALÉVSKAIA 2010 AWARD
With the purpose of increasing women’s participation in mathematical research in
Mexico, the Mexican Mathematical Society and Sofía Kovalévskaia Foundation will
present the “Sofía Kovalévskaia 2010 Award” to eight distinguished Mexican women
who have obtained a Ph.D. in mathematics over the past five years. We are very
pleased to announce that Angélica Salazar Aguilar, a postdoctoral fellow at HEC
Montréal and at the CIRRELT, supervised by André Langevin and Gilbert Laporte, is
one of the recipients of this year’s competition. The award will be presented on
November 3rd, 2010 at the inaugural ceremony of the XLIII National Conference of the
Mexican Mathematical Society, Chiapas, Mexico.
