humble Petition of the States of the Island of
Guernsey, dated the 4th day of August, 1905, setting

forth-I. that at the Court of Chief Pleas held on the
first day of ~la y, 1905, the Court adopted a ' Projet
de Loi' or Bill for the improvement of the Law
relating to E videnees of Tit Ie in ea~e:5 of Bankruptcies
(saisie,<;) ; and the Bailiff' was requested to lay the Bill
before the State~ for their approval; 2. that on the
.jth day of ,-T uly, 1905, thc said' Pl'ojet ' or Bill came
on for consideration by the States, and was adopted by
that Body with some slight modifications in the words
and figurf'H !-'et forth ill the schedllle to the said Petition; and mo:,t hllmbly praying that YOllr l'lajesty
would be graeioll:-:ly pleased to give Your Royal
Sanction to the said' Projet ' 01' BiH intituled 'Loi
relative aux Droits et Titres Authentiq ues' and to
order :tnd direct that as from the Hegistration of the
Order to be made thcreon the same might have the
force of Law within the I sland of Uuernsey :

approve of and ratify the said • Pl'ojet de Loi' " :
HIS l"lAJESTY, ha,"ing taken the said Report
into consideration, is pleased, b,Y and with the advice
of His Privy Council, to appl'ore of and ratify
the said Projet de Loi, and to orcler, as it is hereby
ordered, that as from the Registration of this Order
the same shall have the foree of Law within the
Island of Guernsey.
And His :Majesty doth hereby fllrther direct that
this Order and the said Projet de Loi (a copy
whereof is hereunto annexed) be entered upon the
Register of the Island of Uuernsey, and observed
