Nordmann-Tannen
Nordmann-Tannen wurden nach dem finnischen Botaniker Nordmann be

Nordmann fir - or Silver fir as it is often called – was named after the Finnish botanist Nordmann who
discovered the once unknown tree in the Georgian mountains in Caucasia. Today, it is the most frequently
used, and by many considered the most beautiful, Christmas tree in Europe.
The most beautiful Nordmann fir Christmas trees come from Denmark. This is due to the mild, coastal
climate and the cold, bright summers. It is also in Denmark that growing of this sort for Christmas trees
began 50 years ago. Since then, the tree has gained a footing in many homes around the world. The Nordmann fir is characterised by its beautiful dark green colour and long soft needles. It is very regular with
voluminous sprouts and a beautiful shape. A Nordmann fir remains fresh for a long time and is known for
its excellent needle retention.

Sapin de Nordmann
Le sapin de Nordmann — ou sapin argenté, comme on l'appelle souvent — a été baptisé ainsi en l'honneur
du botaniste finlandais Nordmann qui a découvert cet arbre jadis inconnu dans les montagnes de Géorgie,
dans le Caucase. Aujourd'hui, c'est le sapin qui est utilisé le plus fréquemment, et bon nombre de gens le
considèrent comme le plus beau sapin de Noël d'Europe.

typischerweise weniger dicht als beim Red Label. Er kann einige wenige Mängel und Unvoll
kommenheiten aufweisen und wirkt dadurch natürlicher als unsere Qualität Red Label,
sieht jedoch immer wie ein klassischer Weihnachtsbaum aus, mit den gleichen hochwertigen
Eigenschaften bezüglich Farbe, Nadeln und Nadelfestigkeit wie Red Label.

Ein Weihnachtsbaum von Arbodania ist aufgrund unserer
Liebe fürs Detail höherwertig. Wir wählen aus jeder Kultur
individuell und sorgfältig aus, unser Qualitätsprogramm garantiert Ihnen, dass das Produkt Ihre Erwartungen erfüllt.
Der nachfolgende Text enthält die vorgegebenen Mindeststandards für den Baum - unser erfahrenes Personal für
die Einteilung geht jedoch vom Gesamteindruck des Baums
aus, damit dieser unseren hohen Standards entspricht.
Der Baum zeichnet sich durch einen harmonischen Aufbau aus. Er ist mäßig bis sehr
dicht und ohne nennenswerte Mängel. Red
Label ist der Baum für qualitätsbewusste
Kunden. Ein Weihnachtsbaum mit rotem
Etikett muss die unten genannten Kriterien
erfüllen, kann jedoch leicht von diesen
abweichen, sofern der Baum gesund und
kräftig erscheint.
Der Weihnachtsbaum mit blauem Etikett ist
ebenfalls harmonisch aufgebaut, jedoch in der

Weihnachtsbäume der Sorte Abies procera sind außergewöhnliche Weihnachtsbäume. Der Baum kommt ursprünglich aus dem Nordwesten der USA, im 18.
Jahrhundert wurde er von dort aus nach Europa importiert. Er besitzt bläuliche,
nach oben stehende Nadeln mit sehr guter Nadelfestigkeit und einem phantastischen
Weihnachtsduft. Der Baum ist offener und nicht so weich wie eine Nordmann-Tanne.
Wir bieten Edeltannen in zwei Höheneinteilungen und zwei Qualitäten an. Die Qua
litätszuordnung erfolgt wie bei der Nordmann-Tanne.
Noble fir Christmas trees
Christmas trees of the Abies procera variety, or Noble fir as it is better known, is an
outstanding Christmas tree. The tree has its origins in the northwestern USA, from where
it was imported to Europe during the 1800s. It has bluish, raised needles with very fine
needle retention and a fantastic scent of Christmas. The tree is more open than, and not
as soft as, a Nordmann fir. We offer Noble fir in two height groups and in two qualities. The
quality sorting is similar to that used for Nordmann fir.

Sapins nobles commes arbre de Noël
Les sapins de Noël de la variété Abies procera, ou sapins nobles, comme ils sont plus généralement désignés, sont de remarquables sapins de Noël. Cet arbre est originaire du
Nord-Ouest des Etats-Unis, d'où il a été importé en Europe au XIXe siècle. Il a des aiguilles
bleuâtres qui se retroussent vers le haut, avec une très bonne rétention des aiguilles et une
fantastique odeur de Noël. Cet arbre est plus ouvert qu'un sapin de Nordman, et pas aussi
doux. Nous proposons ces sapins nobles en deux catégories de hauteurs et en deux qualités.

The old-fashioned Christmas tree is a Picea abies or common Norway spruce. This tree
variety grows in large parts of Europe and has been used as a Christmas tree for centuries. It
has limited needle retention, and it is thus important to put it in water and not take it into
the living room until just before Christmas. The Norway spruce smells like Christmas, and
there are plenty of branches to put Christmas decorations on. We offer only the best quality
of Norway spruce in three height groups.

Epinette de Norvège comme arbre de Noël
Cet arbre de Noël un peu "rétro" est un Picea abies ou une épinette de Norvège commune.
Cet arbre croît dans bon nombre de régions d'Europe et il est utilisé depuis des siècles
comme sapin de Noël. Il a une rétention d'aiguilles limitée, c'est pourquoi il est important
de le mettre dans l'eau et de ne l'installer dans le salon que juste avant Noël. L'épinette de
Norvège a tout à fait l'odeur de Noël, et elle comporte un grand nombre de branches permettant d'y installer commodément les décorations de Noël. Nous proposons exclusivement

Colorado Blue spruce Christmas tree
Picea pungens glauca, or Colorado blue spruce, originates from the USA, and is especially used as a Christmas tree in Germany and Eastern Europe. Pungens means prickly
and that is a precise description as the Colorado blue spruce has very pointy needles. It
is not as durable as the Nordmann fir and therefore should be treated carefully. The tree’s
colour is a beautiful blue to bluish green, and it has a harmonic construction. It has a vague
scent of Christmas when brought into the living room. We offer Colorado blue spruce of the

Picea pungens glauca, ou épinette du Colorado, est originaire des Etats-Unis, et elle est
particulièrement utilisée comme arbre de Noël en Allemagne et en Europe de l'Est. Pungens signifie épineux, ce qui en est une description précise, puisque l'épinette du Colorado
a des aiguilles très pointues. Elle ne dure pas aussi longtemps que le sapin de Nordmann,

The best pot grown trees
There is a big difference in the quality of pot grown trees. Most manufacturers simply dig
up a regular tree and put it in a pot. Such trees can never survive planting outside since almost the entire root system is cut off. The very best potted trees are grown as pot-in-pot,
which is when a tree standing in a pot is placed into another pot. This way, the root system
is air pruned, and stays inside the pot. As the tree grows, it is placed into bigger pots to
ensure enough room for the root system to develop optimally. We offer potted Nordmann
fir in three quality classifications of different heights, and all the trees are Global-Gap and
MPS certified.

Les meilleurs arbres cultivés en pot
Il y a une grande différence de qualité entre les arbres cultivés en pot. La plupart des
producteurs se contentent simplement de déterrer un arbre normal et de le planter dans
un pot. Ces arbres ne peuvent jamais survivre le plantage en plein air, car on coupe pratiquement tout leur système radiculaire. Les tout meilleurs arbres en pot sont cultivés
"pot-in-pot", ce qui signifie qu'un arbre planté dans un pot est replanté dans un autre pot.
Ainsi, le système radiculaire est taillé avec un sécateur pneumatique et reste à l'intérieur
du pot. Au fur et à mesure que l'arbre pousse, il est replanté dans des pots plus grands
pour garantir qu'il y ait suffisamment de place pour que son système radiculaire se développe de manière optimale. Nous proposons des sapins de Nordmann en pot, dans trois

Nearly all of our Christmas trees, our bouquets and our greenery are
delivered on pallets; either CT pallets, euro pallets or CC pallets. In
that way, we can ensure easy and trouble-free logistics all the way
from the producer to our customer. Furthermore, the products are
better protected in a palletised solution than during manual handling
and thus the quality remains at the high Arbodania level. Our quality
control programme also ensures that our standard is met – always
– and the person in charge makes sure that no pallet leaves the loading ground without prior control – if a pallet is damaged, it will be
repacked immediately.

Nobilis-Schnittgrün
Das Schnittgrün der Nobilis wird von 2-20 Meter hohen Bäumen entweder vom
Boden aus oder durch Hebevorrichtungen geerntet. Qualität und Sortierung hängt
von der Position am Baum ab, an der die Zweige geerntet werden, sowie vom Alter des
Baums. Alle Bündel entsprechen der dänischen Beschreibung für Edeltannen-Schnittgrün, werden mit Polykordel oder Draht gebunden, mit einem Mehrgewicht von ½
Kilogramm, und vorsichtig auf Paletten gepackt oder direkt auf die LKW verladen.

Noble fir greenery
Noble fir greenery is harvested on 2-20-metre-high trees, either from the ground or from
lifts. The quality and sorting depends on the location on the tree from which the branches are
harvested and on the age of the tree. All the bundles are made according to the Danish
Noble Fir Greenery Description and are tied with polycordel or wire, individually measured
with an overweight of ½ kilogram and gently packed on pallets or stacked directly in the
truck. We deliver the freshest and best sorted noble fir greenery on the market.

All of our Christmas trees and greenery are cultured with the aim of
producing the best possible quality. From the beginning, the seeds
are carefully selected and made into small seedlings at our skillful
plant nurseries in a 3-4-year period. Then, they are transferred from
the nursery to their growing location in climate-controlled trucks and
planted in areas chosen in the forest or on the fields for their suitability to grow the specific species. The main part of Arbodania’s
greenery is grown inside the forest for the best and most protected
environment to ensure the highest quality greenery. After the seedlings are planted, they are nursed and grown intensively for the
rest of their life to make sure that they will grow up to satisfy the
demands of our customers.

a height of approximately 8 metres. The branches are 25-70 cm long, the colour is blue
and the branches are relatively soft with a good covering ability and a nice utilisation rate.

highly prized wreaths and bouquets. They are marked with a blue label.

When wintertime approaches, we are getting ready for
this year’s harvest of Christmas trees and greenery. It is
the best time of the year, because finally, the many years
of hard work suddenly starts to pay off, and we can see
the fruits of our labour. For example, it takes about 14
years from our harvest of seeds until the Christmas trees
are finally harvested. In this period the trees are intensively nursed in order to reach the special Arbodania
quality that we demand.

Zypresse
Zypressen (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana) sind ursprünglich im Küstengebiet im Westen der
USA, von Oregon bis Kalifornien, beheimatet. Es gibt mehr als 30 angebaute Varianten, die
vor allem für Landschaftsarchitektur, Gärten usw. genutzt werden, aber auch als dekorati
ver Grünschnitt verbreitet sind. Wir bieten drei unterschiedliche Arten von Edelzypressen:
grüne, blaue und gelbe Zypressen. Zypressen werden vor allem für Kränze, Dekorationen
und Gebinde verwendet, möglicherweise zusammen mit anderen Arten, beispielsweise
Nordmann-Tannen und Edeltannen.
Grüne Zypressen werden als Bündel mit 5 kg oder als Gebinde geliefert. Die Zweige in den

Cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana) grows naturally in the coastal range in the western
USA, from Oregon to California. There are more than 30 cultivated variants, which are
primarily used for landscaping, gardens, etc., but it is also a popular variety for decorative greenery. We offer three different types of noble cypress; green, blue and yellow cypress. Cypress is primarily used for wreaths, decorations, bouquets and possibly with other
varieties, such as Nordmann and Noble fir.

Handbunde
Arbodania liefert die frischesten handgemachten Gebinde in unterschiedlichen Größen, aus
Edeltanne oder aus Nordmann-Tanne. Unsere Gebinde sind immer aus frisch geschnittenem
Grünschnitt gefertigt. Wir stellen die Gebinde direkt im Wald her, in dem die Bäume wachsen, oder auf einem zentralen Platz in der Nähe des Waldes, damit die erstklassige Qualität
erhalten bleibt.
Normalerweise werden die Zweige von jüngeren Bäumen mit guter Abdeckungsfähigkeit und
Biegsamkeit geschnitten. Wir kontrollieren sowohl die Qualität der Zweige als auch die des
fertigen Produkts durchgehend, um die bestmögliche Qualität zu sichern, die den Erwartungen des Kunden entspricht.
Wir verwenden starke, einheitlich gefärbte Zweige mit guter Abdeckung und Stabilität, damit
sie direkt für die Herstellung von Dekorationen verwendet werden können. Die individu

Handmade bouquets
Arbodania delivers the freshest handmade bouquets in different sizes and made from either
Noble fir or Nordmann fir.
Our bouquets are always made from freshly cut greenery. We produce the bouquets directly
in the forest where the trees grow, or in a central place next to the forest, in order to ensure
our first class quality.
We use strong, evenly coloured branches with good cover and stability so that they can be
used directly for producing decorations. The individual bouquets are bundled together in 10
pcs. Bundles are palletised on EU, CC or CT pallets – whatever our customer requires. All of
our bouquets are hand-tied and created a maximum of 6 days prior to delivery.

bonne stabilité et capacité de couverture, afin qu'elles puissent être utilisées directement pour créer des décorations. Ces bouquets individuels

blue Noble fir that has been grown high on very old trees.
