REINVENTION DEAUVILLE & CANNES have similar objectives in their daily tasks : - enhance their brand image, - develop cultural and leisure offers, - develop the level of excellence and tourism innovations, - distinguish from the competitors, - fetch new customers, - develop media power, - enrich, diversify and improve tourist facilities, - reinvent every day. Both cities evolve in the same market context, shaken by trade globalization. Travel increase, emergence of new destinations, as well as greater intensity and immediacy of communication transmission change the offers and modify tourist consumer trends. Financial manna for national and local economy, tourism redefines itself given a demanding competitiveness in search of a new public and renewed expectations. The tourism consumption patterns applied for decades are now collapsing, because demand is surpassing supply and local governments' budgets are decreasing. Nowadays, territories have to think differently, by creating a network for public and private entities to combine their synergies and, beyond existing tourist facilities, increase promotion through a strong territorial brand policy in order to dominate the market. Deauville and Cannes do not escape these new situations. Separately, for a long time, they founded their identity, invested to create high quality tourism, worked on a very select positioning, acquired fame and a strong brand image, to finally claim a top position in international rankings of the most attractive French destinations. They today meet to share tourism innovations and create a pro-active umbrella brand : Deauville-Cannes.
