Angelina Kgnale vit et travail à Ngkawenyerre, près d’Utopia dans le Territoire du Nord.
Comme beaucoup d’autres femmes artistes d’Utopia, Angelina a commencé sa carrière
artistique en 1986 en réalisant des batiks. Peu de temps après, de la toile et de la peinture
acrylique ont été introduites dans sa communauté et sont devenues le médium par lequel
le travail d’Angelina a été connu en Australie et de par le monde.
Le travail d’Angela s’articule essentiellement autour du Rêve de la prune sauvage. Elle a
traité ce sujet de multiples manières mais le plus souvent, son travail est caractérisé par
de grandes plages de pointillés utilisant une palette claire et délicate.
Ses œuvres ont été acquises par d’importantes collections privées et publiques incluant la
Holmes á Court Collection, la National Gallery of Australia, la National Gallery of Victoria et
le Musée National d’Art d’Osaka au Japon.
