The International and Regional Studies
Institute, as a training and research
institute of the Faculty, plays a crucial
role in the realisation of these aims.
It is our pleasure that an international studies
training program, BA and MA, has been going on for
seven years now within the scope of the International
and Regional Studies Institute.
The good reputation of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences is also
strengthened by the international projects planned and implemented by the
Institute. Due to the comprehensive international relations as well, our Faculty
has become an active participant of international university life, also shaping
it with its initiatives. Not only the exchange of lecturers and the constant
research work but also our training schemes have appeared on an international
scene through the French, English and German training programs.

Political Sciences operating as a

of law and political science with national and international
reputation. The faculty offers undergraduate and master training programs in four
fields of study: apart from the undivided legal studies they have
political science, international studies, labour relations and social security
administration (BA and MA), and they can take pride in
a successful doctoral school and several
postgraduate training programs as well.
The foreign language training programs have an
accentuated place within the offer of the faculty.
Due to a broad range of international relations,
different training programs are carried out in
English, German and French languages. Apart from
educational activities, the Faculty of Law and
Political Sciences is also actively engaged
in scientific research at a national as
well as at an international level.

Vivre sur le continent européen, c’est participer chaque jour un peu plus à l’édification
d’un espace unique et diversifié. Le travail d’enseignement et de recherche a plus que
jamais un rôle primordial à jouer dans l’intégration européenne. C’est l’objectif que
s’est fixé l’Institut des études internationales et régionales en répondant aux défis
européens. Cela doit passer notamment par des formations d’excellence universitaire.
L’objectif de l’Institut est de devenir un atelier scientifique permettant de mieux
expliquer pour le plus large public les conditions politique, économique et sociale
profondément changées suite à l’adhésion de notre pays à l’Union Européenne.
L’Institut est également unique et particulièrement fier de pouvoir accueillir le bureau
du réseau Europe Direct, qui organise régulièrement des conférences en langue
française et étrangère, tout en nous permettant de rester constamment adapté aux
questions européennes, et assurant aux étudiants la possibilité de rencontrer les

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Because of the challenges meant by the creation of the unified and colourful Europe,
teaching and researching the history, the present and the future of the continent play a key role
in the success of European integration. The International and Regional Studies Institute has
established its university training programs of excellence in line with this objective.
A further aim of the Institute is to operate as an intellectual workshop that ensures wider
publicity for the up-to-date political, economic and social aspects of integration following the
European Union accession of Hungary.
The Institute is proud to be the first to house the Szeged office of the Europe Direct information network as a university unit in Hungary. Conferences organised by them in Hungarian and in
foreign languages provide our students and the wider public with the opportunity to meet Hungarian
and foreign personalities, shaping European events.

EUROPE DIRECT Szeged est le bureau d’information
de l’Union européenne, créé en 2007 avec le soutien de
la Commission européenne. La spécialité de ce bureau,
accueilli par une université indique déjà une attention
particulière accordée aux étudiants.
Dès sa création, le bureau EUROPE DIRECT de Szeged a
ouvert un nouveau point de rencontre entre les acteurs
universitaires et l’Union européenne. Il organise des
conférences scienWL௹ques, des Cercles d’intégration, des
séminaires et d’autres événements liés à l’Union européenne
représentant un haut niveau professionnel participant à
l’excellence universitaire de l’Institut.
En plus d’importants partenairiats ERASMUS et universitaires, l’Institut des études internationales et régionales cultivent d’étroites relations dans la région et en Europe avec de
nombreux acteurs publics et privés. Le gouvernement français, par l’intermédiaire de
l’Ambassade de France en Hongrie et l’Institut Français de Budapest, contribue au développement de ses formations et projets. Le gouvernement hongrois s’est également
engagé dans la fondation d’une université française à Szeged. Wallonie Bruxelles- Internationale soutient aussi les activités de l’Institut.

Le cercle d’intégration est une série de programmes, créée en 2005 dont l’objectif est
d’organiser des rencontres entre étudiants, enseignants et professionnels de tous secteurs
afin de participer à des conférences relatives aux questions européennes actuelles. Au cours
des années passées, de nombreuses conférences ont été organisées avec l’intervention
d’ambassadeurs, de parlementaires européens, d’experts de la Commission européenne et
des ministères hongrois et étrangers. Ces événements permettent aux étudiants de créer leur
futur réseau professionnel et viennent compléter leur formation par les connaissances
acquises lors de ces différentes rencontres.

The aim of the program series launched in 2005 is to provide students, tutors
of different faculties and the wider public with lectures delivered by experts
dealing with issues concerning the European Union.

Les étudiants de la formation acquièrent des connaissances relatives au système juridique
français, à ses différentes branches et rapports avec l’Union européenne. Les enseignants
provenant des universités partenaires françaises (Université Jean Moulin Lyon III,
Montpellier I, François Rabelais Tours) offrent leur précieux concours dans ce cursus.
L’analyse compara- tive du système juridique français et hongrois et sa traduction
française constituent une partie importante de la formation.

Les étudiants acquièrent à la fois des compétences d’expert en droit français et de traducteur
par des cours de langue et de traduction intensifs qui leur permettent d’obtenir des bases
théoriques et pratiques ainsi qu’un vocabulaire propre au domaine juridique. Ce cursus en
droit français est accessible aux étudiants diplômés de droit et sanctionné d’un diplôme
d’expert.
Formation spécialisée en Civilisation et Intégration Européenne
En coopération avec ses établissements partenaires, l’Institut des études internationales
et régionales propose une formation de deux ans en langue française dans le domaine de
la civilisation et de l’intégration européenne. Cette spécialisation est ouverte aux
étudiants disposant d’un bon niveau de français, qui souhaitent obtenir des connaissances
professionnelles relatives à l’intégration européenne et prévoient de poursuivre leurs
études dans un établissement étranger ou de travailler dans un milieu international ou
européen.
La formation de quatre semestres est accessible aux étudiants ayant une connaissance de la
langue française conforme au niveau B1 du Cadre européen commun de référence et qui sont
en deuxième ou troisième année de licence de lettres, d’économie, de droit et d’études
internationales. Cette formation est dispensée par l’Université de Szeged d’une mention dans
le diplôme obtenu.
Master en études européennes, Spécialité Europe Centrale et Orientale
Le Master en études européennes a été accrédité, en tant que premier Master en
langue étrangère dans ce domain, en Hongrie, en langue française. Cette formation
permet aux étudiants d’obtenir à la fois le diplôme de l’Université de Szeged et de
l’Institut d’études politiques de Lille.
Les étudiants passeront un semestre à Lille, de janvier à juin où ils pourront
développer en profondeur la méthodologie française en sciences politiques. Ils se
retrouveront très vite intégrer dans le cercle uiversitaire français où ils pourront échanger
avec d’autres étudiants internationaux. Grâce à nos partenaraires fiables, les étudiants
pourront bénéficier de bourses du gouvernenement français, accompagnées d’une
allocation mensuelle et les exonérant des frais d’inscritions universitaire et d’autres
avanatages grâce au soutien du gouvernement hongrois ou encore de BNP Paribas et de
MOL.
L’objectif de ce cursus est de proposer une formation d’excellence pour les
étudiants hongrois et étrangers. Ce master accueille des étudiants étrangers
essentiellement de la région des Balkans. Grâce à la langue d’enseignement et aux
relations internationales entretenues par l’Institut et avec la participation des
enseignants de l’IEP de Lille, de l’Université Catholique de Louvain et des autres
universités de la région, les étudiants acquièrent des connaissances approfondies dans le
domaine des études européennes et obtiennent des compétences complémentaires
nécessaires pour répondre aux exigences du marché du travail.
Outre les partenaires universitaires étrangers, cette formation intègre également sur la base des expériences des années précédentes - les acteurs du secteur privé,
assurant ainsi la transition vers le marché du travail. Le master a un caractère
multidisciplinaire: les étudiants s’enrichiront des connaissances dans le domaine de la
science politique, juridique, économique et sociale. Les enseignants français et hongrois
ayant obtenu des expériences à l’étranger assurent un arrière-plan continu. La formation
met également l’accent sur la région de l’Europe centrale et orientale. Les étudiants
obtiendront en deuxième année, le grade Master en études internationales en Hongrie et
le diplôme Mastère de Lille.
