*Conductor Emil Tabakov [ mi ta bakov] (Bulgarian: Емил Табаков; born 1947) is a Bulgarian composer and conductor. He has been the chief conductor of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and Bilkent Symphony Orchestra and guest conductor of many distinguished symphony orchestras in Europe, South America and Asia. Since 2008, he is the principal conductor of the BNR Symphony Orchestra. He has composed eight symphonies, seven instrumental concertos, two ballets, a requiem and many orchestral and chamber works.
