Procédures de fermeture pour piscine semi-creusée
Note : Lire attentivement tout ce document avant de procéder à la fermeture de votre piscine.
Pour faciliter l'ouverture au printemps, Trévi recommande de fermer la piscine le plus tard possible, idéalement lorsque la température de l'eau atteint
environ 10 °C (50 °F). Il est recommandé de faire un test complet de votre eau dans l’un de nos 3 super magasins. Réglez l'alcalinité entre 100 et 120 ppm
et le pH entre 7,2 et 7,4 afin de maintenir une eau neutre. Maintenir l'eau et le fond propres plus longtemps permet de minimiser l’accumulation de saletés
et la formation de bactéries et d'algues. Fermer sa piscine tardivement empêchera la toile de vinyle d’être exposée trop longtemps aux rayons du soleil et,
par conséquent, elle sera moins sujette à sécher et à pâlir. Faites un croquis ou prenez une photo de votre système de filtration. Il vous sera ainsi plus facile
de tout remettre en place au printemps. Il est important de vérifier la constance du niveau d'eau de la piscine pour déceler toute fuite d'eau. Les
réparations, s'il y a lieu, doivent s'effectuer avant l'hivernage, car en période de gel, une couche de glace se formera à la surface de l’eau. En cas de fuite,
l’eau baissera graduellement et la glace descendra au fond de la piscine, détériorant la toile et exerçant une pression sur les parois de la piscine, ce qui
pourrait occasionner de sérieux dommages. Afin de protéger l'équipement contre le gel et de maintenir l'eau claire, n’arrêtez pas le système de filtration
avant d'hiverner la piscine.

MARCHE À SUIVRE
Ajoutez la moitié du contenant de « TRÉVI STOP » (facultatif) et attendez 12 heures.
Passez l’aspirateur et frottez la toile si nécessaire avec du « TRÉVI VINYLE NET ».
Mettez le filtre à la position « Backwash » et faites fonctionner la pompe pendant 4 minutes.
Pendant le « backwash », ajoutez 2 litres de « TRÉVI FILTRE » (facultatif) dans l’écumoire tout en fermant le drain
de fond. Placez la poignée de la valve 3 voies au numéro 3 ou au numéro 1 pour une piscine de bois (ne pas ajouter
ce produit si vous possédez un filtre à cartouche).
Placez la poignée du filtre à la position « DRAIN » ou « WASTE », ainsi que la poignée de la valve 3 voies à « 1 », ou à
« 3 » pour une piscine de bois (écumoire fermée). En ce qui a trait à la vidange avec une filtration à cartouche,
consultez un conseiller.
Abaissez le niveau d’eau à 4 pouces sous le retour d’eau.
Déconnectez l’extrémité du boyau du retour d’eau, à la piscine. Ensuite, l’extrémité du boyau de la valve 3 voies vers
la pompe, à la pompe (si hors sol) ainsi que celle de la pompe vers le filtre, à la pompe.
Remontez le boyau qui va à la pompe de façon à pouvoir l’attacher au siège de la piscine à l’aide d’attaches
autobloquantes (« tie wraps »).
Placez la valve du drain de fond à « ½ - ½ » ou « 4 », si votre tuyauterie est hors sol, placez-la à « CLOSE » ou « 2 »
si la tuyauterie est souterraine.
Ajoutez 1 à 2 gallons d’antigel non toxique par l’écumoire (pas avant le mois d’octobre).
Insérez complètement le premier boudin à l’intérieur de l’écumoire vers la valve.
Mettez le second boudin dans le tuyau que vous avez attaché sur le bord de la piscine (si hors sol).
Enlevez le manomètre, la bouteille, le bouchon de drain du filtre, l’échelle, le panier, la porte de l’écumoire ainsi que la
marche (lumière).
Insérez un cube de styromousse dans l’écumoire.
Vidangez le filtre et la pompe. Assurez-vous qu’ils sont bien vides. Ne remettez pas les bouchons de drainage.
Enlevez les vis qui retiennent la base de la pompe et remisez la pompe à l’intérieur pour l’hiver.
Placez la poignée du filtre à la position « WINTERIZE » ou « CLOSE ».
Vidangez le chlorinateur de tout produit chimique et rincez-le bien, sinon il pourrait y avoir des dommages.
DRAINAGE DE LA TUYAUTERIE (si tuyauterie souterraine)
Pour évacuer l’eau des conduits souterrains, il y a deux manières de procéder :
 Si vous utilisez un aspirateur de type « Shop-Vac » :
Fermez le drain de fond en plaçant la poignée de la valve du drain de fond à « 3 » (ou à «1» pour une piscine de
bois). Pour les filtres au sable ou au quartz, placez la poignée du filtre en position « WINTERIZE » ou « CLOSE », et
retirez le manomètre. Pour les filtres à cartouche, ouvrez la vanne de purge d’air au-dessus du filtre. Utilisez
l’aspirateur pour amener l’eau dans le conduit d’aspiration de l’écumoire et aussi le conduit du retour à la piscine.
Déconnectez les boyaux, mettez ½ gallon d’antigel non toxique dans la ligne du filtre au retour d’eau et ½ gallon
dans le boyau de la pompe à la valve.
 Si vous utilisez une soufflerie :
Utilisez une soufflerie à vide et branchez le boyau dans le conduit d’aspiration de l’écumoire. Fermez le drain de fond
en plaçant la poignée de la valve de drain de fond à « 3 », (ou à «1» pour une piscine de bois). Placez la poignée
du filtre au sable ou au quartz à « WHIRPOOL » ou à « RECIRCULATE », le manomètre devra être laissé en place.
Actionnez la pompe environ une minute. Mettez ensuite le soufflerie en marche jusqu’à ce qu’il n’y ait plus d’eau qui
sorte du retour. N’oubliez pas la ligne de « backwash » : mettez la poignée du filtre à « DRAIN » ou « WASTE » et
actionnez la soufflerie. Déconnectez les boyaux et mettez ½ gallon d’antigel non toxique dans la ligne du filtre vers le
retour d’eau et ½ gallon dans le boyau de la pompe à la valve. Pour les systèmes à cartouches, retirez la cartouche
avant de souffler.
Si votre retour d’eau est plus bas que le niveau du sol, mettez un bouchon jaune vissé par l’intérieur de la piscine
dans le retour. N’oubliez pas de remettre la valve du drain de fond en position d’hivernisation (selon le cas). Pour les
retours d’eau plus hauts que le niveau du sol, vous devez mettre un bouchon d’expansion no 8 dans l’adaptateur du
retour d’eau, par l’extérieur de la piscine.

ÉQUIPEMENT SPÉCIAL
• THERMOPOMPE
Arrêtez la thermopompe en tournant le bouton de contrôle à la position « OFF » et fermez le disjoncteur électrique
alimentant l’appareil. Débranchez les raccords d’eau et soufflez et (ou) aspirez les conduits d’eau. Cela permettra
d’éviter la formation de glace et son expansion à l’intérieur des raccords pendant la saison froide. Rincez l’intérieur de
l’échangeur de chaleur afin d’éliminer tout dépôt de chlore qui peut avoir un effet corrosif sur l’alliage de zinc et de
cuivre. Il est également suggéré d’ajouter de l’antigel non toxique dans les deux conduits de l’échangeur. Couvrir
d’une toile imperméable en laissant une circulation d’air; s’il n’y a pas de circulation d’air, l’humidité accumulée sous la
toile endommagera l’équipement.

• CHAUFFE-EAU AU GAZ OU À L’HUILE
Pour fermer le chauffe-eau au gaz, il faut, en premier lieu, fermer la valve près du chauffe-eau; par la suite, il faut
fermer la valve de la bombonne. Ainsi, il reste un peu de gaz dans la ligne, ce qui permet une réouverture plus rapide
et plus simple au printemps. Pour le chauffe-eau à l’huile, enlevez le bouchon et laissez s’écouler l’eau. Ne remettez
pas le bouchon pour l’hiver. Nous suggérons d’ajouter de l’antigel non toxique dans les deux conduits de l’échangeur.
• FILTRE À CARTOUCHES
Videz le réservoir en retirant le bouchon de drainage. Retirez et rincez la cartouche ainsi que l’intérieur du réservoir à l’eau
claire. Nettoyer la cartouche avec le « NETTOYANT POUR CARTOUCHE » de la gamme de produits Trévinergie. Laissez
tremper 24 heures dans un seau, rincez et laissez sécher. Trévi suggère de remiser le système à l’intérieur à l’abri du gel.
• LUMIÈRES LUMI-O ET LUMIÈRES ÉLITE
Débranchez la prise électrique. Enlevez l'ampoule. Mettez de la gelée de pétrole (Vaseline ou Jack Formula) sur la
douille. Remettez-la en place. (Lumi-0 seulement).
Pour la lumière Élite, insérez la lanière de styromousse dans la fente prévue à cet effet sur la lentille.
• TECHNOSOLIS (Préparation du système pour l’hiver)
Les capteurs solaires Technosolis ne sont pas garantis contre les dommages causés par le gel. Vous devez donc vous
assurer du drainage complet du chauffe-piscine solaire pour prévenir ce genre de dommage. Si le filtre, les capteurs
solaires ou les vannes de contrôle sont installés à un niveau plus bas que le niveau de la piscine, il est nécessaire de
préparer le système pour l’hiver selon des procédures particulières qui vous seront indiquées. Pour la plupart des
installations, la procédure suivante sera adéquate.

Placez le commutateur principal du contrôle automatique à la position « ON ».
Arrêtez la pompe du filtre.
Retirez les bouchons d’extrémité situés en bas des rangées de capteurs solaires.
Vidangez les capteurs solaires à l’aide d’un aspirateur de type « Shop-Vac ».
Vidangez tout autre tuyau pouvant contenir de l’eau (par exemple : les tuyaux situés plus bas que la sortie du
filtre, puisqu’ils ne peuvent pas se vidanger d’eux-mêmes).
6. Assurez-vous que toute la tuyauterie est bien supportée.
•
AQUATROL
Débranchez l’alimentation de courant par le disjoncteur général de protection. Débranchez le câble blanc de la cellule
d’électrolyse. Arrêtez la pompe de filtration ou ouvrez la vanne de dérivation (s’il y en a une). Isolez la cellule de tout
débit d’eau pouvant la traverser. Dévissez les raccords afin de démonter la cellule. Placez la cellule sur son socle de
nettoyage (réf. : Stand Cleaner), le câble en bas. Remplissez la cellule de 1 litre d’acide phosphorique (« Lectra
Clean ») afin de la décalcifier. (Attention, prendre des précautions et lire les instructions sur le contenant.) Laissez
agir de 4 à 5 minutes maximum. Reversez le produit dans son contenant. Vérifiez si tout l’entartrage s’est dissous.
Refaites l’expérience afin d’avoir une cellule parfaitement propre. Démontez la cellule de sa base. Rincez-la à l’eau
propre. Rangez-la jusqu’à la réouverture au printemps. Si le coffret est à l’extérieur et non protégé, couvrez-le afin
de l’isoler du vent, de la neige et de la pluie.
•
SYSTÈME À L’OZONE
Coupez le système d’alimentation du système à l’ozone. Débranchez le tuyau transparent du panneau de contrôle
ainsi que le tuyau attaché à la piscine. Mettez un ruban adhésif sur l’embouchure du panneau de contrôle.
4)
TROUSSE DE FERMETURE
Note Pour savoir quelle trousse « PERMAPOLAIRE » utiliser pour votre piscine semi-creusée, référez-vous aux
indications sur l’emballage ou consultez un représentant TRÉVI.
Mettez le « CONDITIONNEUR POLAIRE » dans le beigne de styromousse, percez les deux trous et laissez flotter
sur l’eau.
Diluez le « PERMA 180 » dans un sceau d’eau chaude. Videz directement dans l’eau tout autour de la piscine.
Attendez 4 heures.
Ajoutez le « PERMACIDE » directement dans l’eau de votre piscine. Attendez 4 heures.
Mettez l’autre moitié du contenant de « TRÉVI STOP » directement dans l’eau tout autour de la piscine afin de
faciliter le nettoyage du cerne au printemps.
Rappel : Avant le premier gel (octobre), ajoutez le « TRÉVI ANTIGEL » (Permafrost) dans le tuyau qui va au
drain de fond par la valve à 3 voies.

POSE DE LA TOILE D’HIVER
TRÉVI recommande l'utilisation d'une toile d'hiver, car elle protège la toile de vinyle des rayons du soleil et protège
également l'eau des débris, de la poussière et des feuilles. Elle sert également à éviter l'évaporation des produits chimiques,
ce qui aide à garder l'eau claire jusqu'au gel.

Closing procedure for semi in-ground pools
Note: Carefully read this entire document before proceeding with the closure of your pool.
For easier opening in spring, Trévi recommends that you close your pool as late as possible, ideally once the water
temperature drops to about 10°C (50°F). We recommend that you have a complete test of your water done in one of our 3
superstores. Adjust alkalinity to between 100 and 120 ppm and pH to between 7.2 and 7.4 in order to maintain neutral
water. Maintaining the water and the bottom clean longer will help prevent the accumulation of dirt and minimize the
formation of bacteria and algae. Closing your pool late also ensures that the vinyl liner is exposed to the sun's rays for a
shorter period of time and therefore less likely to dry up and fade. Make a drawing or take a photograph of your filtering
system to facilitate reassembly come spring. Be sure to monitor the water level in your pool in order to detect leaks. Any
necessary repair work must be carried out prior to winterizing, as ice will begin to form on the surface of the water once
temperatures drop below freezing. In the event of a leak, the water level gradually drops and the ice falls to the bottom of
the pool, exerting pressure on the pool walls and stress on the vinyl liner, which may result in serious damage. To protect
equipment against freezing and maintain clear water, do not turn off the filter system prior to winterizing your pool.

PROCEDURE
Add half a container of TRÉVI STOP (optional) and wait 12 hours.
Vacuum and clean liner if necessary using TRÉVI VINYLE NET.
Set filter on BACKWASH and run the pump for 4 minutes.
During backwash, pour 2 litres of TRÉVI FILTRE (optional) into the skimmer and close the bottom drain (do not add
this product if you have a cartridge filter system. Place 3-way valve handle on 3, or, if you have a wood pool, on 1.
Place filter handle on DRAIN or WASTE and turn the handle on the 3-way valve to 1, or, if you have a wood pool
(closed skimmer), to 3. If your system uses a cartridge filter, contact a Trévi consultant for more information on
draining your pool.
Lower water level to 4 inches below the water return.
Disconnect the water return line at the pool end. Next, at the pump end, disconnect the line to the 3-way valve. Lastly,
again at the pump end, disconnect the line to the filter.
Raise the hose leading to the pump in order to secure it under the top seat using tie wraps.
For above-ground pipes, turn bottom drain valve to ½ - ½ or 4; for underground pipes, turn it to CLOSE or 2.
Pour 1 to 2 gallons of non-toxic antifreeze in the drain line via the skimmer (not before the month of October).
Place the first foam tube all the way into skimmer in the direction of the valve.
Place the second foam tube into the pipe attached beforehand to the side of the pool (if above-ground).
Remove the gauge, bottle, filter drain plug, ladder, basket, skimmer weir and steps (lights).
Place a styrofoam cube in the skimmer.
Drain the filter and pump. Make sure they are empty. Do not replace drain plugs.
Remove screws holding the base of the pump and store pump indoors for the winter.
Turn filter handle to WINTERIZE or CLOSE.
Flush any chemicals from the chlorinator. Rinse thoroughly to avoid damage.
DRAINING THE PIPES (underground pipes)
There are two ways to flush water from underground pipes:
 If you are using a Shop-Vac type vacuum cleaner:
Close the bottom drain by placing the handle on “3” (or on “1” for a wood pool). For sand or quartz filters, place the
filter handle on the “winterize” or “close” position and remove the gauge. For cartridge filters, open the air release
valve located above the filter. Use the vacuum to draw water into the skimmer intake and into the pool’s water
return. Disconnect the hoses and pour ½ gallon of non-toxic antifreeze into the line connecting the filter to the water
return, as well as ½ gallon into the hose connecting the pump to the valve.
 If you are using a blower:
Close the bottom drain by placing the handle on “3” (or on “1” for a wood pool). For sand or quartz filters, place the
filter handle on “WHIRLPOOL” or “RECIRCULATE”. Leave the gauge in place. Activate the pump for about one
minute. Then switch on the blower until there is no more water running from the return. Do not forget the backwash
line: place filter handle on DRAIN or WASTE and activate the blower. Disconnect the hoses and pour ½ gallon of
non-toxic antifreeze in the line connecting the filter to the water return, as well as ½ gallon in the hose connecting
the pump to the valve. For cartridge systems, remove the cartridge before blowing.
If your water return is below ground level, place a yellow plug into the water return from the inside of the pool.
Don’t forget to return the bottom drain valve to the winterizing position (if applicable). For above-ground returns,
place the No. 8 rubber plug in the water return adapter from the outside of the pool.
3)
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
• HEAT PUMP
Turn the heat pump control knob to OFF and deactivate the corresponding breaker. Disconnect fittings and blow out
and (or) vacuum water lines. This will prevent ice from forming and expanding inside the fittings during the winter.
Rinse out the heat exchanger in order to eliminate chlorine deposits, which may otherwise corrode the zinc and copper
alloy. We also suggest that you add non-toxic antifreeze to both exchanger pipes. Cover with a waterproof cover,
allowing for air circulation (if air cannot circulate under the cover, humidity will accumulate and damage the
equipment).
• GAS OR OIL WATER HEATER
To close your gas water heater, you must first close the valve near the water heater, and then close the valve on the
tank. This leaves some gas in the line for faster and easier opening in the spring. For your oil heater, remove the plug
and drain out all water. Leave the plug off for the winter. We suggest you add non-toxic antifreeze to the two
exchanger hoses.

CARTRIDGE FILTERS
Remove the filter drain plug and allow the reservoir to drain. Remove the cartridge and rinse it with clear water.
Rinse reservoir interior as well. Clean the cartridge using Trévinergie CARTRIDGE CLEANER. As indicated on the
container, soak cartridge in bucket for 24 hours, rinse and let dry. Trévi suggests that you store your system
indoors to protect it from frost.
•
LUMI-O AND ÉLITE LIGHTS
Unplug light. Remove bulb. Apply petroleum jelly (Vaseline or Jack Formula) on the socket and place bulb back into
casing. (Only Lumi-0)
For Élite lights, insert styrofoam strip into the corresponding space on the lens.
•
TECHNOSOLIS (winterizing system)
Technosolis solar panels are not warranted against winter damage. You must therefore be sure to completely drain
the solar pool heater to prevent such damage. If the filter, solar panels or control valves are installed below pool
level, use the specific winterizing procedures provided with your system. For most other installations, use the
following procedure.

Turn the main switch of the automatic control to ON.
Stop the filter pump.
Remove the drain plugs located below the rows of solar collectors.
Drain the solar collectors using a Shop-Vac type vacuum.
Drain any other pipes that may contain water (e.g., pipes located below the filter that do not drain
automatically).
6. Ensure that all lines are well supported.
•
AQUATROL
Disconnect power supply by switching OFF main circuit breaker. Disconnect white cable from electrolysis cell. Turn
filter pump off or open bypass valve (if there is one). Ensure that no water flows onto cell. Unscrew the unions in
order to dismount cell. Set the cell on its cleaning stand (ref.: Stand Cleaner), with cable at bottom. Fill the cell with
1 litre of Lectra Clean phosphoric acid in order to decalcify it. (Take all necessary precautions and read the
instructions on the container.) Allow no more than 4 to 5 minutes of contact time. Pour product back into its
container. Check if all scaling has dissolved. Repeat procedure if necessary to perfectly clean the cell. Remove the
cell from its base. Rinse with clear water. Place in storage until you reopen in spring. If the box is outdoors and not
sheltered, be sure to cover it for protection from wind, snow and rain.
•
OZONE SYSTEM
Turn off power to the ozone system. Disconnect the see-through hose from the control panel as well as the hose
attached to the pool. Cover with adhesive tape on the control panel.
4)
POOL CLOSING KIT
Note: To find out which PERMA POLAIRE kit to use for your semi in-ground pool, refer to the directions on the
packaging or ask your TRÉVI representative.
Place the POLAR CONDITIONER in the styrofoam ring, punch two of the four holes and leave it to float in the pool.
Dilute PERMA 180 in a bucket of warm water and pour directly into the water all around the pool. Wait 4 hours.
Pour PERMACIDE directly into the water. Wait 4 hours.
Pour the other half of the TRÉVI STOP container directly into the water all around the pool in order to make the ring
around the pool easier to clean in the spring.
• Reminder: Before the first frost (October), add TRÉVI ANTIGEL (PERMAFROST) to the pipe that goes to the
bottom drain through the 3-way valve.

INSTALLING THE WINTER COVER
TRÉVI recommends the use of a winter cover because it protects the vinyl liner against the sun’s rays and shields the
water from debris, dirt and leaves. It also prevents chemicals from evaporating, which helps keep the water clear until
it freezes. Tie ropes in an X over the cover from one side of the pool to the other to prevent cover from lifting. Add 2.5
cm to 5 cm (an inch or two) of water on the cover. For mesh covers, it is essential to place inflatable balloons below
your cover.
For winter covers that are three feet wider than the pool, it is essential to use inflatable balloons below your cover.
High tension on the cover could damage the pool and void the warranty.
Trevi offers a variety of products, and the installation technique may vary from one product to the other. An in-store
representative will be glad to help you make the appropriate choice.
IMPORTANT: AFTER NOVEMBER 1, once the pool is closed, heavy rains may raise the water level in the pool. If so,
you will need to lower the water level to 4 inches below the return. A high water level combined with freezing action
may otherwise damage the wall near the skimmer, as well as the skimmer and the structure. In such an
event, your pool warranty could be rendered void. For steel-sided pools, always keep a uniform quantity
of snow around the sides of the pool.
