THEME 3 COMBO ASSESSMENT: MINI-PROJECT + ORAL PERFORMANCE mardi et mercredi le 12 et le 13 novembre You will create a visual aid of at least 5 family members, and describe them to the class in French! MINI-PROJECT: Visual Aid of “Ma Famille!” Options: Powerpoint, Prezi, Goanimate, or traditional posterboard showcasing 5 family members Your Visual Aid will be a “Mini-Project Grade” Your Visual Aid must include: 1. PHOTO(S) of each family member(s) you will be talking about 2. NAME of each person (NO other writing should be on the visual aid) 3. 3-4+ images per person representing anything you are going to tell us about him/her/them! (activities they do/don’t, adjectives, age, where they’re from, etc.) ORAL PERFORMANCE: C’est Ma Famille! 1. Introduce each member of your family (“C’est mon père. Il s’appelle Bill.”) 2. You may talk about ANY members of your family, including: * Yourself (highly recommended; at start or finish) * Parent(s) * Sibling(s) * Favorite cousin(s) * Aunt(s) / Uncle(s) * Grandparent(s) * Pet(s) – only one “slide/section” of your presentation, though IMPORTANT: You will present 2-3 people as individuals, but you MUST present at least some people as a pair/unit to demonstrate plural grammatical forms correctly! (“they ” or “we ”) 3. Include everyone’s NAME (introduce them – see above) 4. Use at least 2 adjectives to describe ALL individuals and pairs – careful with agreement! Avoid using the same adjectives more than once. 5. Say at least 1 activity each person DOES (-ER Verb Conjugation!) and 1 activity each person DOES NOT DO (-ER Verb Conjugation + Hands of Negativity!) 6. For any 2 people, say where they are from 7. For any 2 people, say how old they are Examples: C’est mon oncle. Il s’appelle Steven. Il est de Texas. Il est amusant et sympathique. Il cuisine bien et il mange beaucoup, mais il ne lave pas les assiettes. C’est mon cousin David et ma cousine Jane. David a 12 ans et Jane a 8 ans. Ils sont sympatiques et dynamiques. David joue au football, et Jane danse le ballet. David ne chante pas, et Jane ne travaille pas dans le jardin.
