Whilestillinhighschool,June1984,then"PteDombrowski"enrolledasanAdminClkwithThe
RoyalWestminsterRegiment,NewWestminster,BC.Her"Clerk"careermayhavestartedout
withveryunusualmistakes,butthethenCC,MCpl(Ret'd)DebraCooke,putheronthestraight
andnarrow;oratleasttriedto.
In1997,MajDombrowskitookherrelfromthePRestoattendtheUniversityofAlberta.On1
Nov2001,shejoinedtheRegFasaCALOGO,specializinginTransportation&Movements.
UponcompletionofBasicOfficersTrainingin2002,shewaspostedto1SVCBNasTNPLComd
inS&TCoyunderthetutelageofthenAdjt,ColKeithOsmondandOC,LCol(Ret'd)Damian
Boyle.
ShewaspromotedtoCaptin2004,andemployedastheBnTNOat1SVCBN.In2006,shewas
postedtothe4CFMCUasaDetComd.Duringhertimeat4CFMCU,shetravelledtheworld
movingequipmentandpersonnel.Whilethere,hermostchallengingmovewasthe20newLEO
IItanks,uparmor,andammofromGermanytoAfghanistan.
ThreedaysaftercompletingAOC,inJune2008,MajDombrowskideployedtoElGorah,Egypt
(Sinai)astheFleetManagerfortheMultinationalForceandObserver(MFO)mission,aone-year
posting.Whenshereturnedfromthismissionin2009,shewaspostedtoCANOSCOMintheJ4
MovementPlanscell,whereshecontinuedtotraveltheworld,one-monthatatime.
In2010,uponpromotiontoMaj,shedeployedtoKandaharastheCJ4OperationsChief,10th
MountainDivision,U.S.Army,forasecondoneyeartour.Forherdedicationandoutstanding
serviceastheCJ4OPSChiefduringAmerican"OPERATIONENDURANCE",MajDombrowskiwas
awardedtheUnitedStatesBronzeStarMedal.
Uponreturnfromtheatrein2011,MajDombrowskiwaspostedtoCAHQastheG4TN.In2013,
shewaspostedtothenewlyformed4CDSGTechSvcsDetTorontoasOfficerCommanding.Her
finalpostingwouldfindherbackintheCAHQworkingforDirectorLandRequirements.
Annettewillmoveto"LotusLand"(PenderIsland,BC)whereherbiggestdecisionwillbehaving
todecideifshewantstoKayakbeforeorafterhermorningcoffee.Sheplanstotakethelong
roadtoBritishColumbia,pullinghernewretro"tear-drop"trailertoNFLD,andthenbackacross
CanadatoBC,stoppingalongthewaytovisitthemanyfriendsshehasmadeduringher
exemplarycareer.

commisacommencémarquéed’erreurstrèsinhabituelles,c’estdèslorsquelacommis-chef,la
Cplc(ret)DebraCookel’aremisesurlebonchemin,ouaumoinsaessayé.
En1997,laMajDombrowskiaprissaretraitedelaréservepours’inscrireàl'Universitéde
l'Alberta.Le1novembre2001,ellesejointàlaForcerégulièreentantqu’officierdela
logistiquedel’armédeterre,spécialiséedansletransportetmouvements.Àlafindeson
instructionélémentaireen2002,elleaétéaffectéeau1erBonSvcdansunepositiondeCmdt
PonTnpourlacompagniedemouvement,souslatutelled'alorsCaptAdjt,leColKeithOsmond
etleCmdt,leLcol(ret)DamianBoyle.
Elleaensuiteétépromueaurangdecapitaineen2004,puisemployéecommeOBnTNdu1er
BonSvc.En2006,ellefutaffectéeau4UCMFCcommeCmdtDét.Pendantsonaffectationau4
UCMFC,elleadûparcourirlemondepourassurerlemouvementdumatérieletdupersonnel
enthéâtresd’opérations.Selonelle,sonmouvementleplusdifficileaétélesnouveaux
réservoirs20LEOII,uparmor,etdesmunitionsdel'AllemagneenAfghanistan.
TroisjoursaprèsavoirterminéCOATenjuin2008,laMajorDombrowskiaétédéployéeàEl
Gorah,Égypte(Sinaï)entantquegestionnairedelaflottepourlamissiondelaForce
multinationaleetobservateurs(FMO),uneaffectationd'unan.Quandelleestrevenuedecette
missionen2009,elleaétéaffectéeàCOMSOCANdanslacelluleJ4PlansduMouvementoùelle
acontinuéàparcourirlemonde,unmoisàlafois.
En2010,lorsdesapromotionaurangdemajor,elleaétédéployéeàKandaharcommeChef
desopérationsCJ4,10edivisiondemontagnedel'arméedesÉtats-Unis,pourunedeuxième
rotationd'unan.Poursondévouementetpoursoulignersonserviceexceptionnelentantque
ChefCJ4OPSlorsdelamissionaméricaine"OPERATIONENDURANCE",MajDombrowskiareçu
lamédaille‘BronzeStar’desÉtats-Unis.
Auretourduthéâtreopérationnelen2011,laMajDombrowskiaétéaffectéauQGdel’armée
deterreentantqueG4TN.En2013,elleaétéaffectéeàlanouvellementforméeGS4DivCA
SvcsTechDetTorontoàtitredecommandant.SadernièreaffectationsetrouveraitdansleQG
del’arméedeterretravaillantpourDirecteur-Besoinsenressourcesterrestres(DBRT).
Annettedéménageraà"LotusLand"(PenderIsland,C.B.)oùsaplusgrandedécisionjournalière
seradechoisirsielleveutfairedukayakavantouaprèssoncafélematin.Elleenvisage
