This collection is inspired by the first half of the 20th Century. During that period, kitchen
cupboards and dressers had simple, informal lines and aimed to be functional. Practicality
entered the kitchen with craftsmen using new techniques (plywood) to create new sorts
of storage, incorporating smooth surfaces and offering different types of layouts.
An aesthetic effect emerged in a traditional setting.
Cette collection trouve son inspiration dans la 1re moitié du 20 e siècle.
À cette période, placards et buffets se caractérisent par des formes simples, familières,
et par un effort de fonctionnalité. L’esprit pratique entre en cuisine ; les artisans,
grâce à de nouvelles techniques (le multiplis), créent de nouveaux rangements,
intègrent des surfaces lisses, et proposent divers aménagements.
Le sens de l’esthétique émerge dans une mise en œuvre traditionnelle.
Diese Kollektion findet ihren Ursprung in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Zu dieser Zeit sind
Einbauschränke und Buffets von einfachen, vertrauten Formen und der Bemühung um Funktionalität gekennzeichnet.
Der Sinn fürs Praktische gelangt in die Küche. Durch neue Techniken (Mehrlagenleimholz) schaffen die
Handwerker neue Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeiten, binden glatte Flächen ein und schlagen diverse Gestaltungen vor.
Der ästhetische Sinn tritt im traditionellen Einsatz hervor.

Faubourg
The typical 1950s kitchen. Refined shapes enhanced by the inside moulding of the frame,
the use of wired glass and wood, particularly with turned feet, topped by a metal framed hood,
multi-drawer units. The practical nature of this kitchen is clear to see: a 90 cm high worktop extended
to the snack area, three clearly separate zones, integrated wine cellars...this blend of
aestheticism and practicality creates a warm, convivial and traditional setting.
La cuisine caractéristique des années 50. Des formes épurées rehaussées par une mouluration
intérieure du cadre, l’utilisation du verre armé, le bois avec notamment les 2 pieds tournés
surmontés par une hotte à cadre métal, les meubles à multi-tiroirs…
Les fonctionnalités sont marquées : plan de travail à 90 cm de hauteur prolongé pour le coin snack,
implantation de 3 zones clairement séparées, intégration de meubles cave à vin…
Ce mélange d’esthétisme et de fonctionnalités crée un ensemble chaleureux, convivial et traditionnel.

der Einsatz von Sicherheitsglas, das Holz mit insbesondere den 2 gedrechselten Beinen,
die Dunstabzugshaube oben in einem Metallrahmen, Möbel mit vielen Schubladen...
Die Funktionalitäten sind klar sichtbar: Arbeitsfläche in 90 cm Höhe mit Verlängerung für die Snack-Ecke,
Gestaltung von 3 klar getrennten Zonen, Einbindung von Möbeln für die Weinlagerung... Diese Mischung aus
Ästhetik und Funktionalitäten sorgt für ein warmes, geselliges und traditionelles Ensemble.

Haussmann
This model, complete with ultra-modern equipment, is inspired by 1930s design
and construction: the brushwork has been manually recreated, the characteristic rounded shapes
of the front worktops, the assembly of the units’ uprights and crosspieces, doors with central panels
of frosted glass and trimming and oiled rosewood. Numerous details help create the atmosphere,
which has a touch of originality thanks to the staff canopy which coordinates with the paintwork.
The imposing presence of the custom-made table gives a clear indication of the kitchen’s
true role and invites you to sit down and enjoy.
Ce modèle, évidemment très moderne par l’équipement, s’inspire d’une décoration et
d’une construction des années 30 : effets de pinceau recréés aujourd’hui manuellement,
arrondis caractéristiques des zones de travail avancées, assemblage montants et traverses
des meubles, vitrines avec verre central sablé et détourage, palissandre huilé…
Nombre de détails participent à la création de l’atmosphère, d’où émerge une note d’originalité
avec le staff de la hotte, en accord avec la peinture. La présence conséquente de la table,
réalisée sur mesure, indique bien la fonction de la pièce et l’invitation conviviale à s’y installer.
Dieses durch die Ausstattung deutlich sehr moderne Modell inspiriert sich von der Dekoration und der Bauweise
der 30er Jahre: Pinselstriche, die heute wieder geschaffen werden, die charakteristischen Abrundungen
der vorgezogenen Arbeitsbereiche, die Verzierung der Möbel durch Säulen, die Glasschränke mit in der Mitte
sandgestrahltem und konturgefrästem Glas, geöltes Palisanderholz… Alle diese Details wirken bei der Schöpfung
einer Atmosphäre mit, von der durch den Stuck der Dunstesse in Abstimmung mit der Malerei eine originelle Note
ausgeht. Die deutliche Präsenz des maßgefertigten Tisches weist direkt auf die Funktion des Raums hin sowie
auf die gesellige Einladung, sich hier niederzulassen.

Romantic

The 19th century was a period of popularisation, travel, exoticism and cultural mixing,
as well as industrialisation. This affected homes, and kitchens did not escape the trend. A taste
for design and presentation was important, especially for the British, who managed to create a special,
cocooning atmosphere. These elegant and comfortable rooms were a form of protection against
the first strains of the modern world. Hardy inside has given this look a modern twist in order
to convey all of its charm. That is the Madison and Cottage spirit.
Le 19 e, siècle de vulgarisation, des voyages, de l’exotisme, de mélange des cultures, est aussi
celui de l’industrialisation. Ceci impacte l’habitat et la cuisine n’y échappe pas. Le goût du décor
et de la mise en scène sont importants ; surtout chez les Anglais qui ont su créer une atmosphère particulière avec
des ambiances très “cocooning”. Ces lieux élégants et confortables étaient une protection contre les premières
agressions du monde moderne. Une inspiration plus actuelle nous en retransmet les charmes.
C’est l’esprit de Madison et Cottage.

der Kulturen, ist auch dasjenige der Industrialisierung. Das wirkt sich auf die Wohnstätte aus, und auch die Küche
wird davon betroffen. Der Geschmack für Dekor und Inszenierung ist stark vertreten, insbesondere bei
den Engländern, die es verstanden haben, diese besondere Atmosphäre mit dem „Cocooning“ zu schaffen.

Madison
The main feature of this model is the design of its layout. The units do not fit into a fixed, integrated
plan. The work areas stand out as they are made up by independent units which come together,
complement each other and provide a juxtaposition, creating an ample and original space. All of the
units - be they storage units, the Belfast sink on a base or bar - could almost be moved around.
La caractéristique essentielle de ce modèle tient à la conception de l’implantation.
L’ensemble des éléments ne se vit pas dans une logique d’intégration. Les zones de travail
se distinguent par des éléments indépendants les uns des autres : ils s’associent, se complètent
et se juxtaposent, dessinant un espace ample et original. Qu’il s’agisse des meubles de rangement,
du timbre sur piètement ou du bar… on pourrait leur prêter une certaine mobilité.
Die Konzeption der Einrichtung ist das wesentliche Merkmal dieses Modells. Diese Elemente werden nicht mit einer
Integrationslogik erlebt. Die Arbeitsbereiche unterscheiden sich durch voneinander unabhängige Bereiche: Sie verbinden
sich, ergänzen sich, stehen nebeneinander und zeichnen damit einen reichlichen und originellen Raum. Seien es nun Möbel

Cottage
A romantic kitchen par excellence. Richly and sumptuously decorated with friezes, mouldings, cornices,
decorated motifs (fishtails, trefoils), arches, turned sections and tongue and groove panelling the overall look is both neutral and balanced, providing a space which truly breathes. Everything is
organised harmoniously around the central island. The hood and canopy, the worktop made out of solid
olive wood and the hanging utensils are the key features. Two large freestanding cupboards carry on
the theme with front moulded and fluted uprights and a cornice with a frieze. The built-in Belfast sink,
decorated dresser and suspended light all add to the Cottage feel, as does the table which brings
a dash of originality. The Cottage kitchen offers a warm ambience coupled with a unique character.
La cuisine romantique par excellence. La décoration est riche et abondante : frises, moulures, corniches, motifs
travaillés (fishtails, trèfle), arches, pièces tournées, lambris… Et l’ensemble présente cependant une composition
sobre et équilibrée, dans un espace qui respire. Autour de l’îlot central, tout s’organise harmonieusement. La hotte
avec baldaquin, le plan de travail en bois d’olivier lamellé et les ustensiles suspendus en sont les points forts. Deux
armoires, meubles à part entière, déclinent le style avec des montants avant moulurés et cannelés, une corniche avec
frise. Le timbre encastré, le vaisselier décoré et le luminaire à suspension participent à l’esprit Cottage. Jusqu’à
la table qui donne sa touche d’originalité. L’atmosphère est chaleureuse, la personnalité unique.

Gesimse, eingearbeitete Motive (fishtails, Kleeblatt), Bogen, gedrechselte Teile, Latten… Wobei das Ganze trotzdem
eine nüchterne und ausgeglichene Komposition in einem Raum zeigt, der atmet. Die Kochinsel in der Mitte schafft
eine Harmonie, die alles umschließt. Die Dunstesse mit Baldachin, die Arbeitsfläche aus Olivenholzlamellen und
die hängenden Küchenutensilien sind dabei das Herausragende. Zwei Schränke, vollständige Möbel, unterstreichen
den Esprit mit vorderen verzierten Säulen und mit einem Friesensims. Der eingebaute Spülstein, der dekorierte
Geschirrschrank und die Hängelampen tragen zum Cottage-Stil bei. Das reicht bis zum Tisch, der noch einen Hauch
an Originalität hinzufügt. Die Atmosphäre ist herzlich, die Persönlichkeit einzigartig.

Provincial
… provincial… provincial…
The country cabinetmaker comes from the heart of the French provinces. There is an underlying
influence of styles which was given a rethink by rural 18th century France, a period when manual work
was much in evidence and time had its own value. Shapes are simple and generous. Assembly,
based on traditional techniques, is robust. Mouldings and sculptures, roses, a blood red glaze,
a “smoky” finish and distressed-style paintwork were the most frequent features of this style.
Today, provincial style furniture has a tranquil charm, allied with ultra-modern practicality.
Du cœur de nos provinces est née l’ébénisterie campagnarde. L’influence des styles est sous-jacente,
mais fortement repensée par la France rurale du 18e, à une époque où le travail manuel est
à l’honneur et où le temps a sa propre valeur. Les formes sont simples et généreuses. Les assemblages, issus
des techniques traditionnelles, robustes. Moulures et sculptures, rosaces, couleur sang de bœuf,
finition “fumée”, peintures vieillies en sont les caractéristiques les plus fréquentes. Aujourd’hui, le charme
du mobilier provincial s’exprime sereinement, avec une fonctionnalité très actuelle.
Ursprünglich ist die ländliche Möbeltischlerei mitten im Herzen unserer Provinzen entstanden. Der Einfluß
der verschiedenen Stile ist immer vorhanden, jedoch vom ländlichen Frankreich des 18. Jahrhunderts stark neu
geprägt; das war zu einer Epoche, als die Handarbeit in Ehren stand und die Zeit ihren eigenen Wert hatte.
Die Formen sind einfach und großzügig. Die Verbindungen sind aus den herkömmlichen und durchdachten Techniken
hervorgegangen. Simse und Skulpturen, Rosetten, Ochsenblutfarbe, „rauchiges“ Finish, gealterte Malereien, alles das sind
die häufigsten Merkmale. Der Charme des Provinzmöbels zeigt sich heute gelassen mit sehr aktueller Funktionalität.

Bocage
This model shows off traditional know-how using oak, a noble and living material, but also through minute
attention to detail. The basic design on the cupboards, in the shape of an arch, requires a manual finish.
The dresser is decorated with roses, old-style iron finial hinges, cracked pewter and porcelain
handles and leaded glass doors with blown glass panels. An old-style beam tops the beautifully
shaped canopy, the oven is decorated with turned wood sections and the wood floor turns
into stone in front of the work areas… Bocage’s typical and authentic style makes it full of character.
L’expression d’un savoir-faire traditionnel avec le travail du chêne, matière noble et vivante,
mais aussi par le soin du détail omniprésent. Le dessin de base, en forme de chapeau,
exige une reprise manuelle en finition. Le buffet s’enrichit de rosaces, de paumelles à l’ancienne en fer,
de poignées en étain et porcelaine craquelée, de vitraux montés sur plomb avec des aires soufflées.
Une poutre à l’ancienne surmonte la hotte galbée. Le four s’orne de pièces de bois tournées.
Le sol en planches de bois se transforme en pierre devant les zones de travail…
Son style typé et authentique confère à Bocage sa forte personnalité.
Der Ausdruck des herkömmlichen Know-how bei der Bearbeitung des Eichenholzes, eines noblen und lebendigen
Materials und auch durch die allgegenwärtige Bemühung um das Detail. Die grundlegende Hutform erfordert
die Nachbearbeitung von Hand. Das Büffet wird mit Rosetten angereichert, Angelbändern im alten Stil aus Eisen,
Handgriffe aus Messing und feinrissigem Porzellan, auf Blei montierte Scheiben mit geblasenen Bereichen.
Ein Balken nach alter Art befindet sich über der rund geformten Dunstabzugshaube. Der Backofen ist
mit gedrechselten Holzteilen geschmückt. Der Fußboden aus Holzbrettern wandelt sich vor den Arbeitsbereichen
in Stein um… Die starke Persönlichkeit von Bocage ist auf seinen typischen und unverfälschten Stil zurückzuführen.

In 1997, Hardy started the process of obtaining ISO 14001 certification, making the company a trailblazer in the wood industry in France.
This ­certification recognizes a strong environmental management process, particularly through the reduction of VOC. This commitment
encompasses all levels of the company: using wood from sustainably managed forests, reducing noise pollution, sorting and recycling
PVC waste and residue, replacing PVC with ABS which pollutes less, heating, reducing and replacing solvents, working on UV Hydro.
Environmental requirements hold sway right from the design phase.

La cuisine d’aujourd’hui intègre nécessairement praticité, sécurité, hygiène et respect de l’environnement. Les tiroirs optimisent l’espace jusque dans le
détail et facilitent l’accès aux ustensiles, couverts et autres (coulissants, fond moulé) ; l’aluminium vient recouvrir le plancher sous évier pour protéger une
zone de forte agression ; et les poubelles, amovibles et faciles à saisir préparent déjà au tri sélectif.

Zur Küche von heute gehört notwendigerweise praktische Einrichtung, Sicherheit, Hygiene und Umweltschutz. Der Raum in den Schubladen ist bis ins
Detail optimiert, ebenso der Zugriff zu den Geräten, zum Besteck und anderen Dingen (sie gleiten und haben einen gegossenen Boden). Der Boden
unter der Spüle wird von Aluminium abgedeckt, damit dieser stark belastete Bereich geschützt wird. Und die herausnehmbaren und leicht zu ergreifenden
Müllbehälter bereiten die Trennung schon vor.

La démarche entreprise dès 1997 pour obtenir la Certification ISO 14001 a placé la société Hardy en précurseur de la filière bois en France.
L’attribution de cette norme reconnaît une maîtrise environnementale forte, notamment par la réduction des Composés Organiques Volatils. Cet engagement
implique plus globalement la culture de l’entreprise à tous les niveaux : utilisation de bois issus de forêts gérées durablement, réduction sonore, tri
et recyclage des déchets et résidus PVC, remplacement PVC par ABS moins polluant, chauffage, réduction et remplacement des solvants, travail sur
les UV Hydro… Dès la phase de conception, les critères environnementaux prennent le pas.

verarbeitenden Industrie in Frankreich erworben. Mit der Zuordnung dieser Norm wird eine starke Beherrschung der Umweltaspekte, insbesondere durch
die Verringerung der flüchtigen organischen Komponenten anerkannt. Insgesamt gesehen impliziert diese Verpflichtung die Kultur des Unternehmens auf
