MOTION: ( / ) having received the recommendation of the former Quebec-Sherbrooke Presbytery,
(May 26, 2016) to the Synode Montréal & Ottawa Conference, Brenda Lee Strickland and
Marguerite Cox, of the Harrington Harbour Pastoral Charge, upon the request of the charge board
and having successfully completed the Sacramental Elders Training Course, conducted by the
Synode Montréal & Ottawa Conference, held at Sept-Iles May 9-11, 2014, be licensed to perform
the sacraments of the United Church of Canada for the Harrington Harbour Pastoral Charge,
effective July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017, being in accordance with the requirements passed by the
Synode Montréal & Ottawa Conference Executive on March 20, 2012.
MOTION: ( / ) having received the recommendation of the former Quebec-Sherbrooke Presbytery,
(May 26, 2016) to the Synode Montréal & Ottawa Conference, Keith Eldridge, Frances Antle, and
Gail Lavallée of St. Andrew’s United Church in Sept-Iles, upon the request of the church board and
having successfully completed the Sacramental Elders Training Course, conducted by the Synode
Montréal & Ottawa Conference, held at Sept-Iles May 9-11, 2014, be relicensed to administer the
sacraments for the year July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017, being in accordance with the requirements
passed by the Synode Montréal & Ottawa Conference Executive on March 20, 2012.
MOTION: ( / ) having received the recommendation of the former Quebec-Sherbrooke Presbytery,
(May 26, 2016) to the Synode Montréal & Ottawa Conference, Carolle Anne Dubé, of Metis Beach
United Church, upon the request of the church board and having successfully completed the

“Moved by Ms. Monique Moser-Verrey, seconded by Pasteur Samuel Dansokho that Mr.
Larry Richardson delay his full-time retirement, originally planned for 1 July 2017, until 31
December, 2018, these last 18 months to be on a half-time basis and working from his
home.”
MOTION: ( / ) That the Executive of Synode Montreal & Ottawa Conference receive the
recommendation of the Staff committee made by teleconference on October 19, 2016
“Moved by Pasteur Samuel Dansokho, seconded by Ms. Monique Moser-Verrey that the
position of YAYA (Youth and Young Adult) Program Coordinator be offered to Ms.
Georgia Barratt-Lamey on the basis of the 2010 contract, 8 hours per week from November
1, 2016 - June 30, 2017, renewable after a review.”
MOTION: ( / ) that the funding for the Youth and Young Adult Minister position continue on the
same basis as in 2017 using a contribution of $2000 per year from each presbytery with the
balance from the conference budget.
