L’URBAN GAME CAR est un triporteur Ape, restauré et chromé, conçu comme un espace d’art
mobile, dans lequel sont présentées des expositions nomades. Suivant les projets, le petit véhicule
est transformé par son inventeur et directeur, Daniel Ruggiero : avec un toit il devient un kiosque
à fanzines ou une cabine de projection de films, sans toit il peut devenir le socle de sculptures ou
d’installations, ou encore un box lumineux pour la présentation d’images. Ruggiero parcourt la
Suisse et l’étranger avec son musée itinérant, en présentant sur sa plateforme modulable des travaux
de plasticiens, designers, cinéastes, performeurs ou scientifiques. Il invite ces divers intervenants à
créer des multiples en lien avec l’Ape mais aussi en dialogue avec les expositions des diverses étapes
du musée. Dans le cadre de l’exposition à la KMD Garage, les deux artistes invités sont Fabien Clerc
et Frédéric Post, plasticiens Genevois, qui explorent l’univers du « néo-chamanisme ».
FRÉDÉRIC POST (*1975, vit et travaille à Genève) présente le projet Top 50, dédié à la musique du
pop et aux mouvements sociaux et culturels de la jeunesse. Il montre des drapeaux représentant
différents style de musique des 50 dernières années – Rock’n’Roll, Rock, Folk, Reggae, Punk, House,
Rap, Techno, Hardcore etc. – avec lesquelles il raconte une sorte de légende inter-générationnelle et
inter-culturelle ayant pour base la musique. FABIEN CLERC (*1975, vit et travaille à Genève) s’approche
avec ses œuvres en céramique de l’esthétique du pop, mais il évoque surtout le psychédélisme par
des installations ressemblant à des totems ou à des étals-magasins de magie noire pour chamans
occidentaux. Ses œuvres évoquent avec poésie la construction identitaire individuelle contemporaine.

Ape three-wheel transporter,
restored and chrome-plated

The URBAN GAME CAR is an Ape three-wheel transporter, restored and chrome-plated and conceived
as a mobile art space for itinerant exhibitions. Depending on the art project, this tiny vehicle is readily
transformed by its inventor and director, Daniel Ruggiero, into the perfect means of presentation:
with its roof it may function as a fanzine kiosk or a film projection cabin; without its roof it may serve
as a pedestal for sculptures or installations, or as an illuminated “white cube” for the exhibition
of paintings. Ruggiero travels across Switzerland and other countries with his itinerant museum
and presents on its modular platform the works of sculptors, designers, film-makers, performers or
scientists. He invites all these various artists to create multiple editions in connection with the Ape
and also in a dialogue with the various venues of the itinerant museum. The two artists invited for
the exhibition in the KMD Garage are Fabien Clerc and Frédéric Post, both sculptors from Geneva,
who explore the world of “neo-shamanism.”
FRÉDÉRIC POST (*1975, lives and works in Geneva) will be presenting his Top 50, a project dedicated
to pop music and to the social and cultural movements of young generations. The flags he exhibits
represent different styles of music from the past 50 years—Rock’n’Roll, Rock, Folk, Reggae, Punk,
House, Rap, Techno, Hardcore etc—which serve him as the basis for visualizing a kind of intergenerational and inter-cultural legend. FABIEN CLERC (*1975, lives and works in Geneva) creates works
in ceramic that come close to the aesthetic of pop culture, evoking above all else its psychedelism
through installations resembling totems or market stalls offering black magic for western shamans.
His works poetically reflect the construction of self-identity of the contemporary individual.
