Oscar Gaudet
Athlete/Athlète (Hockey) 1986
Oscar Gaudet’s pro hockey career is
bookended by home-based wins. In 1963, he
was an all-star junior on the Moncton Junior
Hawks team that made it to the Allan Cup final.
From 1975-79, he played for two Hardy Cup
winning teams, the Moncton Bears and
Moncton Hawks. In between, Oscar played for
the Chicago Black Hawks, Dallas Black Hawks
and Buffalo Bisons, winning the Central
Hockey League Scoring title in 1967-68 and
the AHL Rookie of the Year in 1964. He is a
member of the NB Sports Hall of Fame.

La carrière de hockeyeur professionnel de
Oscar Gaudet a débuté et a pris fin par des
victoires au niveau local. En 1963, il était
joueur étoile pour l’équipe junior des Hawks de
Moncton qui a participé à la finale de la Coupe
Allan. De 1975 à 1979, il a joué pour deux
équipes championnes de la Coupe Hardy, les
Bears de Moncton et les Hawks de Moncton.
Entre ces deux périodes, Oscar a joué pour les
Black Hawks de Chicago, les Black Hawks de
Dallas et les Sabres de Buffalo. Il a été
champion marqueur de la ligue centrale de
hockey en 1967-1968 et nommé recrue de
l’année dans la Ligue américaine de hockey en
1964. Il est membre du Temple de la
renommée sportive du Nouveau-Brunswick.
