Quatre lauréats du Festival des jeunes musiciens des
Laurentides profiteront d’un tremplin exceptionnel
en se présentant sur scène devant un orchestre
symphonique professionnelle à Saint-Jérôme le 11
mars prochain.
Four winners of the Young Musicians of the
Laurentians Festival will have a chance of a
lifetime while performing with a professional
symphonic orchestra in Saint-Jerome on March
11th.
Avec l’Orchestre philharmonique du Nouveau
Monde (OPNM) et présentant des oeuvres de Grieg,
Kreisler, Donizetti, Mozart et Tchaikovsky, MarieHélène Trempe (piano), Guillaume Martineau
(piano), Émélie Monette (violon) et Julia Chabot
(soprano) offriront un spectacle assuré de plaire à
tous les mélomanes à la Cathédrale de Saint-Jérôme.
La soirée sera couronnée par la présentation de la
Symphonie No 1 en do majeur, Op.21 de Beethoven,
le tout dirigé par le chef de renommée internationale
Michel Brousseau.
With the New World Philharmonic Orchestra
(NWPO),
Marie-Hélène
Trempe
(piano),
Guillaume Martineau (piano), Émélie Monette
(violin) et Julia Chabot (soprano) will preform
pieces from Grieg, Kreisler, Donizetti, Mozart and
Tchaikovsky, an event sure to please every music
lover at the Saint-Jerome Cathedral. Beethoven’s
Symphony No. 1 in C major, Op.21 will crown the
evening’s activities, all under the masterful skills of
international conductor Michel Brousseau.
Michel Brousseau est directeur artistique et chef du
Chœur et de l’Orchestre philharmonique du Nouveau
Monde, les Chanteurs de Sainte-Thérèse et de
l’Ensemble vocal Semper Fidelis.
Il est tout
récemment
finaliste
du
premier concours
international en direction d’Opéra Luigi Mancinelli
qui s’est tenu en Italie l’été dernier.

Michel Brousseau is artistic director and conductor
of the New World Philharmonic Orchestra and
Choir, Les Chanteurs de Sainte-Thérèse choir and
the Semper Fidelis vocal ensemble. He was
recently finalist in the Luigi Mancinelli
international Opera Conducting Competition that
was held in Italy last summer.
