Célia Pardini
Celia works on social representations of objects and brands, her hyperrealistic sculptures replicate with poetry and humor the popular objects of our
past, present and futur lifestyle and consumption patterns. Celia sculpts the objects in cardboards, the material used for temporary packagings of
manufactured goods, her objects are petrified in varnish and like frozen, awaiting use which will never happened.
Célia Pardini was born in London in 1963. She studied Graphic Arts and Design at the E.S.A.A Duperré (Paris). She traveled around the world thanks to
her work for design offices and ready-to-wear fashion clothing brands: in France, Italy, India, Thailand... In 2001, she moved to Paris and began an
artistic work based on the principles of the exquisite corpse and mail exchange with a friend, who is an artist too. In 2009, Celia starts working on her
cardboard series...
