Deloitte named risk leader
Gartner assesses Global Risk Management Consulting services
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) is pleased to announce that Deloitte has been
named “Leader” in Global Risk Management Consulting services by Gartner in its recently
released report entitled Magic Quadrant for Global Risk Management Consulting Services.
The Gartner report evaluated seven global firms and networks on three dimensions of risk
management — framework, metrics and systems. Within the quadrant graphic included in the
report, Deloitte member firms’ risk management consulting services were positioned highest
on the “ability to execute” axis and furthest on the “completeness of vision” axis.
“We believe Deloitte’s unyielding commitment to clients as well as the focus on the
development of our people and technologies were the main reasons for this landmark industry
recognition,” says Laurent Berliner, Partner at Deloitte Luxembourg and EMEA Enterprise
Risk Services Leader for the financial services industry.
Gartner defines risk management as “the strategic discipline of assessing, prioritising,
monitoring and controlling the impact of uncertainty on objectives.”
“Deloitte considers this positioning as a ‘Risk Leader’ as a reflection of its member
firms’ commitment to helping clients integrate risk management into the business,” states
Laurent Berliner. He further concludes: “Deloitte’s Risk Transformation framework is a
prime example, addressing strategic and operational risks as well as risks related to
governance, culture, technology and infrastructure, helping organisations regardless of
industry and geography get ahead of risk.”
Cyber Risk Services and Crisis Management round out broad portfolio
Deloitte considers cyber risk services to rank among its most important offerings in the
marketplace.
“The terms ‘cyber’ and ‘risk’ appear together with increasing frequency in the news,” says
Laurent Berliner. “We believe the inclusion of cyber services in this report reinforces the
point that cyber has rapidly become an essential component of comprehensive risk
management programmes, as companies strive to become secure, vigilant and resilient.”
Another new service that gained mention in the report was crisis management.
“Member firm professionals always listen to clients and evolve our solutions to meet their
clients' needs,” says Jeremy Smith, Global Leader, Crisis Management services, DTTL. “To
that end, we’ve added new services within crisis management that integrate Deloitte’s
existing capabilities — forensic, restructuring, financial crime, cyber and resilience services
— to provide an end-end crisis management solution.”

Gartner évalue les services de conseils relatifs à la gestion globale des risques
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) a le plaisir d’annoncer que Gartner a qualifié
Deloitte de « leader » en matière de services de conseils relatifs à la gestion globale des
risques dans son récent rapport intitulé Magic Quadrant for Global Risk Management
Consulting Services. Le rapport Gartner s’est livré à l’évaluation de sept cabinets et réseaux
portant sur trois aspects de la gestion des risques : le cadre, les indicateurs et les systèmes. Sur
le graphique à cadrans dont est assorti le rapport, les services de conseil en matière de gestion
des risques des cabinets membres de Deloitte obtiennent la meilleur position sur les axes
« capacité d’exécution » et « exhaustivité de la vision ».
« Cette reconnaissance majeure du secteur s’explique principalement par l’engagement
permanent de Deloitte à l’égard de ses clients ainsi que par l’accent mis sur le développement
de nos ressources et de nos technologies », selon Laurent Berliner, associé et leader de la
gestion des risques pour les entreprises du secteur des services financiers chez Deloitte
Luxembourg.
Gartner définit la gestion des risques comme « la discipline stratégique consistant à évaluer,
prioriser, surveiller et contrôler l’impact de l’incertitude sur les objectifs ».
« Deloitte considère ce classement en tant que leader en matière de gestion des risques
comme un reflet de l’engagement de ses cabinets membres à assister leurs clients dans
l’intégration de la gestion des risques au sein de leur activité », ajoute Laurent Berliner. Il
conclut en affirmant : « Le cadre de transformation des risques de Deloitte est un excellent
exemple : il tient compte des risques stratégiques et opérationnels ainsi que de ceux liés à la
gouvernance, à la culture, aux technologies et aux infrastructures, permettant de la sorte aux
entreprises d’anticiper les risques indépendamment de la situation géographique et de celle du
secteur. »
Les services relatifs aux cyber-risques et à la gestion de crise contribuent largement à la
richesse du portefeuille
Deloitte estime que les services liés aux cyber-risques figurent parmi ses offres les plus
importantes sur le marché.
« Dans l’actualité, on voit de plus en plus souvent le terme ’cyber’ accolé au mot ’risque’ »,
ajoute Laurent Berliner. « Le fait que le rapport inclue les services liés aux cyber-risques nous
conforte dans l’idée que ceux-ci sont rapidement devenus une composante essentielle de tout
programme de gestion des risques complet, car les entreprises veillent à renforcer leur
sécurité, leur vigilance et leur résilience. »
Autre service mentionné par le rapport pour la première fois : la gestion de crise.
« Les professionnels des cabinets membres écoutent toujours les clients et adaptent leurs
solutions pour répondre aux besoins de ceux-ci », explique Jeremy Smith, associé et
responsable des services de gestion de crise chez DTTL. « À cet effet, nous avons ajouté de
nouveaux services de gestion de crise aux capacités existantes de Deloitte afin de proposer
une solution intégrée : juridique, réorganisation, crimes financiers ainsi que des services liés à
la cybernétique et à la résilience. »

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) gibt erfreut bekannt, dass Deloitte von Gartner in
dessen kürzlich erschienenen Bericht Magic Quadrant for Global Risk Management
Consulting Services zum „Leader“ für globale Risikomanagementberatungsdienste ernannt
worden. Der Gartner-Bericht untersuchte sieben global tätige Firmen und Netzwerke zu drei
Dimensionen des Risikomanagements — Rahmenbedingungen, Metriken und Systeme. In der
im Bericht enthaltenen Quadrantengraphik wurden die Risikomanagementberatungsdienste
der Mitgliedsfirmen von Deloitte auf der Achse „Umsetzungskompetenz“ am höchsten und
auf der Achse „Vollständigkeit ihrer Vision“ am weitesten positioniert.
„Wir sind davon überzeugt, dass Deloittes unermüdliches Engagement für Kunden sowie die
Fokussierung auf die Weiterentwicklung unserer Mitarbeiter und Technologien Hauptgründe
für diese entscheidende branchenweite Anerkennung waren“, so Laurent Berliner, Partner bei
Deloitte Luxemburg und Enterprise Risk Services Leader für die
Finanzdienstleistungsbranche in der Region Europa, Naher Osten und Afrika (EMEA).
Gartner definiert Risikomanagement als „die strategische Disziplin der Bewertung,
Priorisierung, Überwachung und Steuerung der Auswirkungen von Unwägbarkeit bei Zielen.“

„Die Begriffe ‚Cyber‘ und ‚Risiko‘ erscheinen zunehmend häufiger zusammen in den
Nachrichten“, so Laurent Berliner. „Wir glauben, dass die Einbeziehung von Cyber-Diensten
in diesen Bericht verdeutlicht, dass Cyber innerhalb kurzer Zeit zu einem wesentlichen
Bestandteil von umfassenden Risikomanagementprogrammen geworden ist, da Unternehmen
bestrebt sind, sicher, wachsam und widerstandsfähig zu werden.“
Ein weiterer Dienst, der in dem Bericht Erwähnung fand, war das Krisenmanagement.
