Dear parents of Grade 1 - Richmond Christian School Blogs
Dear parents of Grade 1, Today, your child is bringing home some work that s/he has been working on during the past few months in French class. Sharing of the end of unit portfolio with parents and other family members is a very important and valuable aspect of our French program at our school. It not only allows your child to proudly share with the family what s/he has learned, but also takes French beyond the classroom. Please ask your child to: 1. Describe the puppets (in English) and teach their French names 2. Act out the story as a play, with their puppets. Students have been encouraged to memorize it, but if they must use the script, that is acceptable. 3. Go through the two page word list and teach you some of the words and actions. It is most beneficial for your son or daughter to do this within the first few days that s/he brings the work home, as it is fresh in your child’s memory, and s/he will therefore find the greatest level of success. Please find attached the form that you are to complete and return it on or before Friday, February 22. We hope that you will enjoy the presentation. Thank you very much for your cooperation with this! All materials will be made available on my blog at blogs.richmondchristian.ca/slai I have prepared an English version of the script on my blog for you as well. These materials will be on the main section of the blog until February 20. Afterwards, they will be removed.
