Teaching department concerned by the demand : IUFM
The recruited candidate will have to teach mainly in the sections preparing students to the education jobs at the High School /
college levels (CAPES – AGREG). These teaching sections at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis are run jointly by the
l'IUFM (school of formation of teachers) and the UFR of Science (Life Science, mixed life and earth science, Earth and
Environnement Sciences …). He will have to teach all the fundamental disciplines in Earth Science that are required for a
candidateship for school teachers. A specific skill in field geology is requested as to teach geology from 1st year to Master 2 levels.

Research:
1. Geoazur Laboratory
Objectives in Research (10 lignes maximum) :
One of the main federative theme within the UMR (Research Laboratory) ‘GéoAzur’ deals with past and current lithospheric
geodynamic processes. The candidate will need very solid scientific skills in fundamental disciplins of geosciences (Field Geology,
Tectonics, Structural Geology). He will merge in one of the teams of the UMR Géoazur and will reinforce the action of research
concerning the analysis and comprehension of geological deformation processes. Such deformations can be observed through
several types of structural, morphologic, petrologic markors which quantification necessitates to master geologic tools combined to
physical and/or chemical tools. In this matter, Géosciences Azur is focused on numerous zones in the world such as the andean
margin of Perou and Ecuador, Antillas, West Pacific and the ‘regional’ mediterranean area.
