The project “from_me_to_you” by Jårg Geismar consider in
total 8 locations including mac museum and other 7
satellite locations in the city of Marseille over a period of
five months. This project reveals how Jårg Geismar
transforms his inspiration taken from daily life and journeys
into local neighborhoods in Marseille into his own unique
and thought provoking art. Geismar takes the viewer on a
virtual journey into the self and helps to decode the often
convoluted world that surrounds us.

"Message in the bottle”, is composed out of large site
specific installation with hanging glass bottles on fishing
lines. It presents a way of communication and reaching out one side to the other. Inside the bottles, there are collected
messages on Cellophane from people in Marseille and
drawings of the artist as a message in a bottle.

"I heart Marseille" a video presentation of two videos in
different rooms follows by a discussion at l’Alhambra. The
original film was made in 2001 on a motorbike with new
footage from 2012 and 2013 from a scooter in Marseille. The
driver is Thierry Ollat and camera by the artist and was
edited in Tokyo and Marseille.

"Fish in a bottle" RMA Nr.23 is an interactive installation
with performance and film at the Restaurant Le Ventre de
l'Architecte, La Cité Radieuse. This work is part of the
Restaurant Mes Amis series which the artist started in 1988
in Japan.

Mandarin. The film gives you a tour on architecture of
infrastructure through Marseille in black and white pictures
and films.

"Drawing and scissor concert" is an audio installation of a
scissor concert recorded in Marseille together with a
cellophane drawing which was done on site at Salon Lydia in
the center of Marseille.

Gorgée de Soleil in Saint Antoine. This film display the
society of people living together and next to each other in the

"empty" is a video projection at Bar Tabac le flash at
Sebastopol plaza. The film manifests the quietness, empty
places and spaces, walls and walking feet in Marseille. It
gives you time to stand still and reflect with yourself.

Jardin ça coule de source

"AQUA III" is a social event with an outdoor slide projection
at the Jardin ça coule de source - social gardens in Marseille
3015. The large projection will be on an apartment building.
The images are hand painted slides - the playfulness of
nature, colors, lines and fluid. At the event are music, food,
drinks, party and many things more.
