The spiritual direction group will re-convene for the 1st of 12 sessions on Friday September

MEDITATON GROUP
Come and join us every Monday evening at 7:30pm, beginning October 1st, 2012 at St.
Joseph Church, Lancaster, Ontario for a meditation hour with the World Community of
Christian Meditation. We listen and discuss the teachings of Fr. John Main, a Benedictine
monk and silently meditate for 20 minutes. For more information please call the facilitator,

Programme Adopte‐Un‐Prêtre / Diacre En 1981, à Aylmer, Québec, le Programme Adopte‐Un‐Prêtre fut lancé pour subvenir aux besoins de prières et d'encouragement pour les prêtres. En 1987, 25 ans passés, ce programme fut commencé dans notre diocèse par le groupe Joy of the Lord Prayer Group à la paroisse St. Columban. Utilisant comme symbole la marguerite de 7 pétales, des partenaires de prières furent trouvés pour chaque prêtre et notre évêque. En 1991, un programme semblable fut fondé pour adopter les diacres. Chaque année, le clergé, les partenaires de prières et toutes autres personnes intéressées à soutenir notre clergé, se rassemblent pour une messe d'action de grâces. Cette année, il nous fait plaisir d'annoncer que la paroisse Précieux‐Sang de Glen Walter en sera l'hôte. La messe aura lieu le soir de jeudi, le 11 octobre à 7 heures (19h). Tous sont bienvenus de se joindre à nous pour remercier le Seigneur pour le cadeau de la prêtrise et du diaconat dans notre milieu. Adopt‐a‐Priest / Deacon Program The Adopt‐a‐Priest Program began in Aylmer, Quebec, in 1981 to provide prayer support and encouragement to the priests. In 1987, 25 years ago, this Program began in our Diocese through Joy of the Lord Prayer Group at St. Columban's parish. Using the 7‐petalled daisy as a symbol, prayer partners were found for each priest and our bishop. Then in 1991, a similar program began to adopt the deacons. Each year, the clergy, their prayer partners and anyone interested in supporting our clergy, gather for a Mass of Thanksgiving. This year, we are pleased to announce that the parish of Precious Blood is the host parish. The Mass will be held on Thursday, October 11th at 7 p.m. and all are welcome to come and give thanks with us for the gift of the priesthood/diaconate in our midst. YOUTH CENTER ! This year the youth center will open on October 5th. If you
are between 9-17 years old and you want to have fun. If you want to meet
other young people, then this new event is for you. The Salesian Sisters of
St.John Bosco invite you every Fridays, beginning Oct 5th from 6:30 to 8:30
pm. at what used to be the rectory of La Nativité (300 Montreal Rd) to play,
share, grow and learn about Jesus and so many other fun things. We are
